Nana Golden Beach

We have had an amazing time here. The staff are great, the food is amazing, the rooms are lovely. Lots of pools and things to do for little ones and adults. Would defo come back

We last visited the hotel in 2018 when we had THE best holiday and since then there have been a number of changes and even improvements. It's about an hours coach transfer from Heraklion - we booked a taxi transfer on the outbound journey and this whisked is there in 20 mins which after a 2 hour delay was just what we needed The reception welcome was superb and a golf cubby car escorted us and our luggage to our room. The room was very modern with a very comfortable bed, effective air conditioning and beautiful bathroom/ shower. Complimentary gowns/slippers and stocked mini bar. The waterpark is superb for children and adults alike The food options are still very good although we though the a la carte restaurants were not as good as in 2018 in terms of quality of food. The tennis centre (fees required) were too notch and we enjoyed a game of tennis in the US Hard court overlooking the sea. Theres also a superb indoor pool (fee applies and adults only) however this would be very useful for wet days The main restaurant is now below ground with a very large choice - however now each food station has a staff member who placed the food on your plate. This probably meant we were less likely to try new things however it did not detract from our holiday. However we travelled with my sister who had 2 young children and this approach made things more difficult. The evening entertainment and daily programme were still good and there is karaoke every evening We used the free pedalo and had an afternoon on the sandy beach The staff were all very helpful and friendly throughout our stay The Crete drainage system is still not great so you could not put toilet paper down the toilet - instead it needed to be bagged and binned. Overall an excellent resort and 5 stars all the way I would say it has evolved to be much more for families than couples given the number of children we saw and with a kids club / splash park this would be a superb place to holiday for families As we are looking for couples holidays now our child has grown up to adulthood we will probably not return to the hotel - but we certainly would recommend it to anyone planning on going.

Nana beach is the perfect all inclusive family restaurant. It has everything you need. This year they have upgraded several things like the kids pool area and the kids play area which made it even better. The rooms are nice and decent size with comfortable beds. The food is high quality and the service is great. We particularly liked Konstantina and Maria which took fantastic care of us on the morning at the restaurant. I'm not a morning person, and to have a cuppucino on the table within a minute of arriving there made my day ;) There are several specialty restaurant euch can be booked. All of them are good, but the Meat-in with Panos is unbelievable. Meat is cooked to perfection and the service would want you to go there every night... If one could. Hopefully we get to go there again next year.

We had a truly wonderful family holiday at Nana golden beach during the Easter holidays (we attended the second week and got very lucky with the weather!) This place is fantastic and feels like it caters for everything possible! Upon check in we got upgraded it was my husband’s birthday so that was a wonderful surprise which we highly appreciated- The room was so spacious and modern, walk in wardrobe and sauna bathroom with 2 balconies. Eleana on reception was so lovely and helpful, guest relations Lia and Angelina were equally as fantastic. The complex offers multiple pools, beach front and activities. Our children aged 12 and 11 vastly enjoyed themselves. Hamid (otherwise known as Babe to the kids!) made their time even more fun whilst at the water park and evening entertainment, he is a wonderful young person. The buffet selection was great and the first place it has been behind glass and served to you which hygiene wise I think is a brilliant idea. Many restaurants options are also on site. Honestly you can get food at anytime of day or night! The grounds are beautifully kept. Also a mention is it a short 30 minute coach ride from the airport so that is also a bonus. A final mention to Bella who we originally met in the chocolate shop but then saw many times at various places she is such a happy, bubbly character. What a wonderful hotel with fantastic staff so many are such a credit to the hotel, we hope to return next year. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We have just left Nana Golden Beach and we had the best week ever. It’s the nicest all inclusive hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The transfer is long! An hour and a half as there’s around 10 drop offs first and NGB is the last drop. We ended up getting a mini bus back to the airport (to fit 4 people and 4 suitcases) and it was worth £65. We got there comfortably in 20 minutes, worth every penny. Although I think TUI needs to offer this as part of the package. We waited 30 minutes at the airport for guests that didn’t come on arrival. The hotel greeting was really lovely and they provided a golf buggy to take us and our luggage to our room. Our room was lovely with sea views. TV for English speaking guests was limited. Most guests are German. But all staff speak English. The buffet restaurant was lovely. It’s all behind glass and served to you which is so much more hygienic. The food should was varied and very nice. We booked the à la carts as soon as we got there and was left with limited choices of times and ended up eating late all three times. The restaurants we ate in was Thalassa which had lovely views and the food was nice. Meat In which again amazing views and the food was nice. And Azzurro which had amazing views and the food was excellent. The pasta was homemade and delicious. Lunch wasn’t as great. The buffet isn’t open and the other restaurants get very busy. I think there should be options for one or two à la carts lunches a week too. The pools were great. The aqua park was so much fun and the beach was beautiful. I recommend the beds by the sea which are free but do get reserved early. There’s pedals and canoes to use free of charge which was a lovely touch. There’s an onsite dessert shop which was unreal! Everything was delicious. All in all we loved it and would definitely return.
