Staff were great and really make this hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ recognition for all staff ❤️ Areas are clean and well-maintained, pleasant after reading previous reviews. Great location near beach and bars, shops tavernas. About €12 taxi/€2 bus from most boat trips and excursion pick up points Food was basic, drinks limited compared to other all Inclusive Budget hotel but excellent staff and good decor Drinks let it down n no evening entertainment or kids club

We stayed at this hotel recently and overall had a pleasant experience, but there are a few things future guests should be aware of. The hotel itself is lovely and very clean, with housekeeping in every day. The pool area is great, and we had no issues getting a sunbed, even during busy times. The food is good quality, although the choice is limited — what’s available is tasty, just not a wide selection. However, the all‑inclusive offering is extremely basic. It includes beer, wine and soft drinks only. There are no spirits, no cocktails, and the drinks that are available are watered down. This will be disappointing for anyone expecting a standard all‑inclusive package. There is no entertainment, so evenings are very quiet. You only receive one key per room, which can be inconvenient. There are no toiletries provided such as shampoo or body lotion. The snack bar isn’t really a snack bar — very limited options. A designated smoking area near the dining area would also be helpful. Overall, it’s a clean, pleasant hotel with good food and a nice pool, but the “all inclusive” is not what most people would expect, and is something to consider before booking.

Rethymno Village has a lovely feel when you first arrive, especially around the pool area. It’s genuinely the nicest part of the hotel — the tiles, the outdoor furniture and the whole exterior look recently updated, and it’s a really pleasant place to sit in the sun. In May there was no issue getting a sunbed at all. The food in the restaurant isn’t the biggest selection, but what they do offer is tasty and good quality. The snack bar, though, is very limited — more like a few ham sandwiches, pastries and the odd sausage roll, and nothing at all suitable for vegetarians, which felt like a real gap for an all‑inclusive. The rooms don’t match the standard of the outside areas; they’re dated, and the bathroom dispensers didn’t even include a basic all‑in‑one shampoo/shower gel, which you’d expect as standard. You also only get one key per room, and that key controls the electricity, which isn’t ideal if there are four of you. The location itself is great — close to the beach, shops and everything you’d want nearby — but there was no entertainment whatsoever, which felt strange for an all‑inclusive hotel. The biggest issue by far, though, was the drinks. Only beer and wine are included, nothing else alcoholic, and both the beer and wine were extremely weak, almost like water. There wasn’t even a red wine option, just white and rosé, and the soft drinks were syrupy and tasteless. The staff were friendly, and it is a nice hotel in a good location, but because of the drinks, the lack of entertainment, the dated rooms and the limited snack options, I wouldn’t return.
