I booked this holiday for a group of 12 of us last year when the reviews were better. Over the year I’ve checked in and the reviews made me so apprehensive of our stay because it just seemed like a terrible place to go. Our group was aged between 3 and 67 and each of us quickly realised that our experience was not mounting to most of the negative reviews we read. Now I will say that this is in my opinion, and my family’s, a 3 star hotel and not a 4 purely based on the fact that the hotel could do with some love and care in refurbishments. Having said that, we had an absolutely brilliant time and for what we paid for an all inclusive holiday, I’m abit taken back by what some people have complained about. The food is tasty and freshly prepared, the entire hotel is so clean, there are plenty of sun beds and shaded areas and ice cream is served at lunch and dinner. Yes, the pool is cold, but we laid out in the sun to get warm and just got in, you get used to it and eventually warm up. The alcohol options included what we needed to enjoy ourselves and the reception were on hand for any questions we had. My aunt was placed in a room higher up the hill and has heart problems so the stairs were a struggle, reception immediately placed her in a new room. All staff were friendly and got their jobs done effectively save for the maid who cleaned the rooms in our corridor; I’ve got no idea what time she thought it was or whether she knows the volume in her voice but my god she was so loud! Overall, if you’re not expecting a 5 star experience and are realistic in understanding what you've paid and what you’re getting, I don’t see why you wouldn’t have a good time.
