St. Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas

This is our 22nd year visiting St. Nicolas Bay. It's our favourite time of the year and a staple of our family routine. The staff, restaurants, rooms, Alex and the team are always world-class. There's something special about this place you can't quite explain, but we always leave fully recharged. One staple holiday, every single year, without fail. Many thanks to the team, as always

Just returned from celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary at this amazing hotel, where nothing was too much trouble. All the staff, from Reception, Waiters to cleaning staff are all warm and friendly. Our room was spotless, large, with a great view over the bay … the bay is very pretty and quiet. We enjoyed the availability of water sports on our visit. We ate in the main restaurant, the Labrynth, during our entire stay and the quality of the food was excellent. Breakfast also cannot be faulted, plenty of choice and a great buffet. Would highly recommend for a touch of luxury!

This was my first visit but it definitely isn't my last what a hotel. The position on a quiet peninsular around the bay from the busy main town perfect. The hotel is set out like a small village with all the rooms benefiting from thoughtful positioning and hidden in mature well maintained gardens. We had a one bedroom suite with a view of the sea and it was wonderful two lovely terraces. The food was some of the best I have eaten at a hotel with both breakfast and evening meal buffets supported by ever changing menu items so you get brilliant service and are not over faced with the usual buffet anxiety. The sunbeds are also extra wide with deep clean cushions and ample clean towel stations and buzzers or QR codes to get drinks and snacks delivered. All this was on top of what I can honestly say is the best staff team in any hotel I have stayed at some hotels try to make it feel like your the best guest they have but every single staff member from the gardener to reception are polite and friendly without making it feel awkward they genuinely want you to have the best time and it's a complete joy to stay in a place that you feel welcomed. What a gift thank you so much for what has been one of the best trips I have had. I will continue to talk about this for a long time or at least until I return.

We have stayed at St. Nicolas Bay so many times over the years, and now we returned once again with our son Luca, who has grown quite a bit since our last visit. Coming back brought back so many beautiful memories, while once again giving us exactly what we had hoped for: pure relaxation, tranquillity and wonderful moments together. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces among the staff. The fact that so many people have remained with the hotel over the years is, in our opinion, a wonderful reflection of how exceptionally well the hotel is managed. Alex, the General Manager, is there from morning until evening – for his team as well as for his guests. A very special thank you to you, Alex, for the absolutely fantastic room you gave us. We truly felt like kings! Every time we return, we are curious to discover what is new – whether in the service, the culinary experience or the architecture. And once again, we were speechless. We noticed another significant improvement in the quality of the dinner, loved the beauty of the new area with its pool towards the rear of the resort, the new stair access to the sea from the pool terrace, and the excellent service at breakfast. Yet, as much as we enjoy discovering all these new developments, what we value most is that the soul of St. Nicolas Bay has remained unchanged. It is the wonderful people, their warmth and genuine hospitality that create the unique charm of this place – and that is ultimately the reason why we keep coming back. 7 nights in junior suite . Lovely ambiance to this hotel, Cretan village style , exposed stone , lovely art work. Facilities worked well for us. Plenty swimming options and good gym. On half board basis for first time in years so not sure what to expect . It was Excellent. Buffet style starter and pudding , main course served at table from menu . We did not eat at either of the other 2 restaurants as a result ( extra charge but with 25% discount) Taxi to Marina approximately 9 euros , Elounda 20 euros. Staff very friendly. Well done and look forward to returning
