Star Beach Village Water Park

After arriving at the main hotel and checking in I was then taken across the very busy road to a small hotel known as the annexe hote l!!!! Which is very noisy with local bars playing music until late !! I booked though TUI at no point was I told when I was booking that I would not be in the main hotel complex (I actually paid extra to upgrade my room) as I am 65 and I have recently had a operation and get very tired and struggling to walk. The hotel reception were not intestered in trying to help me find a more convenient room . VERY DISAPPOINTED!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!

Fantastic holiday here, we arrived the day after the horrific sandstorm, and the weather was drizzly so walked into the local town and spent time on the beach. The pools were extremely mucky but the work the guys put in over 2 days to get them cleaned up and immaculate was unbelievable - what a great job! As soon as the sun came out on our 3rd day (first day was just travel), the pools and slides were ready to go and within another couple of days the big slides were open too. They were so much fun. Warning - the water was very cold! The gym was great - so much space, enough equipment and a nice calm atmosphere. The food was amazing, so much to try and different themes each night, with lots of fresh food cooked in front of you. The baklava was incredible. Our room was great, very clean and although we were right next to the Dionysus bar, the noise stopped early enough and didn't stop us sleeping. The other guests in our block however were a different matter and we were regularly woken up by families stomping up the stairs and along the corridors, banging doors like you wouldn't believe. One night, a teenage boy came home at 4am, was locked out and proceeded to pound on his door for 30 minutes - incredibly selfish behaviour. Would highly recommend Star Beach, we had an incredible time and properly switched off and relaxed - but I would make sure that the slides and pools will be open when you're looking to book, without them you may be disappointed. The weather was also amazing, we had 8 days of around 25 degrees, we don't like it any hotter so for us it was perfect - we were there 2-12 April Would recommend making sure you have a 2 way USB for the TV if you want to watch films at night, I could plug my phone in but it wouldn't let us watch anything and even though it was a smart tv, we couldn't log into any apps or connect to it on wifi. We watched german MTV and catfish only for 10 days :D

Stayed a few weeks ago for a late Easter break. Overall a very positive stay. Location, amenities, cleanliness and food are all very good. I see some people saying the pools are cold etc but you have to take into account the time of year, its not going to be tropical early season. Once you are in its fine, certainly didn't stop my kids having a great time. Only gripe was that our room door could have been better fitted and more soundproof. There was quite an echo down the corridor that was a little annoying.

We had the most fabulous time here at Star Beach after deciding to book last minute. Travelling with an 8 year old on my own for the first time, at the start of the season, I wasn’t sure what to expect but this is a fantastic family friendly hotel that caters for all ages. Star Beach village is set beside a beautiful private beach, It has multiple pools, splash parks and a large new waterpark. There’s also flumes and slides. They have a daily entertainment programme from morning until night and the entertainment staff are lovely and so good with the children. Ideal if you’re travelling late or early season and the weather might be unpredictable. The highlights are the fabulous onsite waterparks and slides for younger and older children, the multiple snack bars and the amazing food. Theres 3 restaurants to choose from including an Asian /. Chinese restaurant , a beach bar which also has a noodle bar with a chef cooking your noodles fresh to order and multiple snack bars spread over the resort with pizza, hot dogs, burgers, salad etc. The food is incredible with a childrens food station and a baby corner aswell as multiple fresh food cooking stations with just about everything you can imagine and really high quality food. This was some of the best food i have ever had in an AI hotel. The hotel is also designed to have quieter areas and pools for people travelling without children. The rooms are spotless and are well furnished with really comfortable mattresses and pillows. For the first time ever on a holiday we never left the hotel so unfortunately didn’t get to see much of the beautiful area we were in but i think that says everything about this fantastic hotel and means I’ll have to return again soon.
