lovely view of elounda, rooms are comfortable and kept clean with the cleaners. Could always get a sunbed around the pool and the staff always really friendly. Entertainment/activity's during the day is good for 8 year old but nothing for him on a night. Can be quite loud with singers during the day and night (some singers had really bad voices sorry! Especially the pool singer) Shared pool was a nice bonus for 8 year old but all the pools quite cold! Food was pretty bad and we have stopped in a fair few all inclusive. Was always cold and mainly just pizza, chips and pasta rest was weird mixtures like sausage tikka masala.

    Foarte bun

Great family holiday with an outstanding entertainment team – a few things to know before booking We recently stayed at TUI BLUE Elounda Breeze for an all-inclusive holiday with our six-year-old daughter. Overall, we had a really enjoyable family holiday. The entertainment team, kids’ club and waterslides were the biggest highlights, although there are a few practical points worth considering before booking. The highlights The entertainment team honestly made our holiday. They were involved throughout the day, not just in the evening. They organised pool activities, aqua games and other daytime entertainment, interacted brilliantly with the children and encouraged guests to join in. They even persuaded me to take part in some activities, which I would normally leave to my husband and daughter! 😂 In the evenings, they ran the kids’ disco, which our daughter loved and attended every night, before putting on their own shows. These included singing, dancing, cabaret and other performances, as well as magicians, acrobats and quizzes. There was plenty of variety, and the team worked incredibly hard from daytime activities through to the evening entertainment. A huge shout-out to Caitlin, Amie, Moana and Ariana, who were wonderful with our daughter. She became so attached to them that she actually cried when we had to leave! Our daughter also absolutely loved the kids’ club. She went every day, sometimes attending both sessions, and enjoyed the creative activities, World Cup-style games and spy adventure. She always came out smiling and couldn’t wait to go back. The three main waterslides were another big hit, and there is also a smaller toddler slide area. The pools were clean and tidy, and there were always lifeguards present. Two lifeguards deserve a special mention. Nicolas was brilliant with the children, regularly interacting with them and making an effort to join in. A female lifeguard was also fantastic when our daughter cut her foot without us realising. She noticed the bleeding when we arrived at the slides, took our daughter to the small first-aid area, cleaned and dressed the wound and kept her calm throughout. She was lovely, smiley and reassuring, and we really appreciated her help. Rooms and reception Be prepared for a very long airport transfer. Ours took around 2½ hours with all the stops, and we didn’t arrive at the resort until nearly midnight. With a six-year-old, it made for a particularly long day. Next time, we would probably consider arranging our own transfer. Our first room was directly above the amphitheatre. It was a decent size and clean, but the balcony was only metres from the entertainment area, so the lights and noise were very noticeable. The entertainment continued until after 11pm, which wasn’t ideal with a young child. We asked reception if we could move, and they were fantastic. They asked us to return the following morning and contacted us later that day when another room became available. We moved to a room in the 2000 block near the waterslides. It was slightly smaller but had a much better view and was still clean and tidy. Reception were incredibly helpful, including assisting with our bags, and were polite and friendly throughout. We would definitely recommend requesting a room away from the amphitheatre and, if possible, in the lower part of the resort. Resort layout and pools The resort is very hilly, although we knew this before booking. Our second room was fortunately towards the lower end, close to reception, the activity and quiet pools, the amphitheatre and the waterslides. We hardly used the main pool because it was absolutely packed on the two occasions we went up, even shortly after it opened at 10am. The hill also meant we didn’t fancy walking up there for afternoon entertainment. Instead, we spent most of our time at the activity pool, which worked well for us. It was close to the kids’ club, waterslides and snack bar, and there was daytime entertainment nearby, including aqua games, visits from the TUI mascot and an interactive dinosaur visit. There were always plenty of sunbeds available around both the activity and quiet pools, even though we visited in August during the peak school holidays. The sunbeds themselves, however, were unbelievably uncomfortable! 😂 The slide pool is essentially where the waterslides finish rather than a swimming pool, so families may find themselves walking between the slide area and activity pool quite often. One lifeguard did appear to spend a lot of time looking at his phone and seemed less attentive than the others, so our experience with the lifeguards was mixed. However, Nicolas and the female lifeguard who helped our daughter definitely deserve recognition. The pools also don’t open until 10am, which wasn’t ideal with a young child awake from the crack of dawn. An earlier opening time would have been appreciated. Food and drinks The activity pool snack bar was convenient and the food was tasty, although fairly repetitive, with options such as chips, gyros, salad and ice cream. We liked being able to use takeaway containers and take food back to our sunbeds. The drinks station offered water, tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, beer and wine, with all-inclusive drinks and ice cream available throughout the day. The main thing missing was a proper bar at the activity pool. Cocktails were only available at the quiet pool, which meant walking up quite a few steps whenever you wanted one. Breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant were good, with plenty of choice. The food wasn’t exceptional, but it was consistently enjoyable. There were different themed evenings, including Asian, Indian and Greek, with Greek night being our favourite. There was plenty of freshly cooked food, grilled meat and salad, as well as a separate children’s section. The restaurant staff were polite and friendly, although we didn’t find them particularly chatty. Drinks included soft drinks, tea, coffee, beer and wine, but there were no cocktails. The beach Don’t book this resort expecting a traditional sandy beach. The resort’s beach is quite a trek down and is more of a rocky cove. If you want a proper beach, you would need to walk or take a taxi into the main town, which we didn’t do. There is a bar at the beach, but it isn’t included in the all-inclusive package, which seemed unusual given that it is promoted as the resort’s beach. There were also signs warning about jellyfish, so we were cautious when visiting. Things to consider before booking The main points we would consider are: * The airport transfer can take around 2½ hours. * The resort is extremely hilly and facilities are spread out. * The main pool was very busy. * The sunbeds were uncomfortable. * The pools don’t open until 10am. * The beach is a rocky cove rather than a traditional sandy beach. * Cocktails aren’t available at the activity pool. * Rooms above or near the amphitheatre may be noisy until after 11pm. Overall Overall, we had a lovely family holiday and, most importantly, our daughter had an amazing time. The biggest positives were the exceptional entertainment team, brilliant kids’ club, waterslides, helpful reception staff, clean pools and availability of sunbeds around the activity and quiet pools. The entertainment team were a real asset to the resort. They worked hard all day with activities and pool entertainment, then continued into the evening with the kids’ disco and their own singing, dancing and shows. Would we go again? Yes, I think we would. We would request a room in the lower part of the resort and arrange our own airport transfer next time. I would recommend TUI BLUE Elounda Breeze particularly to families with children who will make the most of the kids’ club, activities, waterslides and entertainment. If you don’t mind the hills and know what to expect, there is a lot to enjoy here.

    Excepțional

It's a shame that this hotel is removing lots of it's provisions for infants as it would definitely be one to recommend! I have seen previous reviews commenting on areas not being accessible to pushchairs however there are ramps & a lift to every location. There are also a lot of complaints regarding the hill to the restaurant, I am not sure what people expect when booking a hotel on the side of a mountain, but regardless there are golf buggys available to run you to the top of the hill if required, though we were fine pushing the pram up the 2 minutes walk. When we arrived we were kindly upgraded to a family room and should we return we will definitely look to book in one of these rooms as the extra space was a huge help. A cot and baby bath were already waiting for us, and there is a small shop on site for anything you need to help with a baby. We were even able to book in our cleaning time slot around our babys naps. There are multiple pools including 2 shaded baby pools, there were more than enough sunbeds and not once did we have to fight to get them as there seem to be a lot more beds than people, a welcome change to most other hotels. The food is different each night, with two al a carte options. Though I do think there are better settings in the hotel for the a la cartes the food choice is great. In the buffet area there is a separate section for babies and children, which is even lowered down for children to serve themselves. There are plenty of high chairs so one is always readily available. The staff have all been very friendly and have interacted very kindly with our 10mo daughter. The hotel itself is close to a cove where the hotel beach bar is located, I will note that this is not included in the all inclusive which doesn't really seem to make sense. It's also a 10 minute walk to a sandy beach and a 25 minute walk into elounda where you can find another sandy beach and plenty of nice shops, bars and restaurants - all accessible with our pram As it was our first trip abroad with our baby I was nervous but the hotel has been fantastic - unfortunately the website states they won't be providing cots or other support for infants from 2027 onwards so sadly we won't be returning next year.
