Location of hotel was good, rooms are small, bathrooms small, for a tall person beds are low, mattress is soft, value for hotel is alot plus having to pay 10 euros per person per day on top of what has already been paid for, Atmosphere was ok, Cleanliness wasn't the best, sometimes tge bed linen wasn't changed just pulled up to make look like it had been changed, my friend asked one sunday why our room wasn't cleaned even though we put sign on door for room to be cleaned, response we was told was they don't work on sundays, Noise level was pretty quiet, Service not good when we first arrived we had no one show us to our room, my friend fell out of shower, had a slight cut which was bleeding on his head, when we went to reception the next morning to inform them what had happened hotel manager and reception blamed my friend for falling out the shower and was more concerned that he took towel rail off the wall as he fell, they never asked if he was ok, my friend complained for couple days after of headache and hotel manager and reception never asked if he was ok, luckily both myself and my friend had pain relief with us, head of cleaning lady was lovely and put in 3 slip mats, but only because my friend complained, our rep was amazing her name was Gaby, very helpful with booking activities and helped us get money back when one of our transfers failed to pick us up from our hotel, there was only one person doing activities at the hotel but he was wonderful.

Amazing stay overall. Firstly, can I just say thank you to all staff at Chrissi Amoudia for being so kind and welcoming. Reception staff, bar staff, entertainment and even shopkeepers couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel grounds are well kept, rooms are presentable and food is enjoyable. Plenty of food on offer including pork, chicken, fish, beef, vegetables, various carbs, pizzas and salads. Snack bar during day mostly consisted of fries, pizza, gyros, burgers, chicken nuggets and salad bar. Drinks offered were very nice including beers and cocktails. Pool was huge and also had an exterior baby pool and separate kids pool. Never any issues getting sun-beds either and plenty of shaded areas and umbrellas. The view from the hotel is amazing, especially from the outside dining area and select rooms - looking over the blue Cretan sea. Not much around the hotel itself however there is Rent-A-Car, Spar and an excursions shop. There is also a sports bar called Nireas who are very welcoming and will play any football matches on TV that you require. Also a 5 min walk to beach. This location is perfect if you just want a quiet holiday that also has the necessities. If you are looking for more nightlife, a 10 min taxi into Hersonisos will set you back around €10-15. The only downside to the hotel, in my opinion, is the cleaning. Upon arrival the rooms and very clean and well presented. However, as you can imagine, after 2-3 days of use they could do with a wipe down and floors sweeping, maybe even a bedding change. The only thing the cleaning staff did for our whole holiday was making the beds and occasionally they would give us some new towels. On one occasion they took our towels and didn’t replace them for nearly 3 hours - by this point we had already showered and had to use a single dirty towel left behind. On another occasion, our sanitary bin was not emptied. This was then left to fester for over 48 hours and there is no cleaning staff on a Sunday. Our bath was covered in sand and dirt due to going to the beach and the bath was not cleaned once. If the upkeep of the rooms were improve I would have rated the hotel 5* overall. Also, we had upgraded to a sea-view bungalow. It may just be a cultural difference, however what we stayed in was not a “bungalow”. Granted it was separate from the main building and did have a gorgeous view but an apartment building shared with 4-5 other rooms is not a bungalow and certainly not as private as we were anticipating (will include photo in review of “bungalow”. P.S. PLEASE buy some cat food at the store on site and feed the stray kitties. They are all so loving and need that extra bit of TLC from holidaymakers!

staff incredibly friendly and welcoming, all inclusive food was fab with plenty of choices and was very varied day to day. stayed in a bungalow room and was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. only thing i could fault was lack of draws in the room for clothes. perfect for family holidays and very kid-friendly, 2 minute walk to spar, 10 minute walk to the beach, access to busses every morning from just outside the hotel into hersonissos/ heraklion for a few euros. great activities hosted by nico - yoga/pilates etc in the morning, aqua gym or games in the pool in the afternoon, and a mini disco every night for kids. there is also bingo/karaoke/magic shows each night.

We had a pleasant stay overall. It was really nice that the hotel allowed access to a limited breakfast even very early in the morning, which was much appreciated before traveling. The staff was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms located above the reception area could benefit from some modernization, but they were still comfortable. The only downside for us was the atmosphere during the day some background music around the hotel would make it feel more lively. Also, having to rent a car to get around can be a bit inconvenient depending on your plans. Overall, a good experience with very friendly service.
