Village Heights Resort

I had the best massage of my life with Anna. I even told her I’d book one every day if I could. I highly recommend visiting the spa and requesting Anna—she’s amazing. From start to finish, it was a great experience.

This was the best holiday we’ve had in a long time. It was so relaxing and quiet at the hotel. The absolute ideal time to go in April! From the moment we checked in, the staff looked after us, were so friendly and so kind throughout our stay. The concierge, Anna, and Elena (we think), who was on her first day, were so helpful and welcoming. All the reception staff were so kind and so helpful. The housekeeping staff were really lovely too, and we cannot thank them enough for looking after us. While at the hotel, we also visited the spa. As a massage therapist, I find it difficult to relax for a massage, but Anna was amazing and it was one of the best, most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. The location of the hotel is so convenient. It’s so close to the motorway, which gave us easy access to travel around the island. We definitely recommend hiring a car! We chose not to do all inclusive because we have allergies and wanted to explore. The hotel does cater for gluten free and for nut/peanut allergies, and our meals here were really great. We would love to come back again, and next time, explore more of this beautiful island.

We had a wonderful stay at Village Heights Resort in Crete. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with excellent facilities that cater to both relaxation and activity. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. A special highlight for me was the massage with Anna—it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had quite a few over the years. Her technique, professionalism, and ability to create a truly relaxing experience really stood out. Another lovely touch is how the resort cares for the local cats. They have a dedicated cat café area, which adds a really warm and compassionate atmosphere to the place. Overall, a fantastic resort with outstanding service. I would highly recommend it and would happily return.

We stayed here in August 2025 as a family of 3 and a family of 4. The resort is beautiful set up in the mountains. It isn’t near any amenities but this wasn’t an issue as there was a regular shuttle bus - we used this to take trips to the Beach Club, down to the town of Hersonissos and also into the nearby old town and villages. We also booked an amazing boat trip to Spinalonga through the hotel. The resort is very spread out and we were probably an 6-8 minute walk apart as 2 families but the resort was lovely to walk through and we had the choice of 2 large pools, one near us and one near the other family in our group. There were always plenty of sun beds and as a group of 7 we never had a problem. The rooms were adequate but not luxurious. They were clean and we received wine which was a nice touch. Our room was down a very steep hill but buggies were available if needed. We didn’t mind the walk to walk off the buffet! The restaurant was faultless, particularly the waiting staff who were ALL amazing and so friendly. A shout out to the barman (whose name I can,t remember) for the great pre dinner cocktails and service! We were half board so ate in the buffet restaurant - everything was delicious and there was a good variety and rotation of different cuisines. We did get invited to dine in the à la carte restaurant one night too, which was absolutely delicious with amazing views! We would like to particularly mention George and Stefanos who, whether it was making sure we had our favourite table to keeping the wine flowing, made us feel like VIPs every night! All in all a fabulous holiday!

A lovely apartment, great staff, a superb swimming and pool area. Lots of chairs and a very clean pool. You need a car. It is very far distant from other places.
