Villea Village

Just returned home today after 9 nights stay. We had an apartment on the ground floor that was easy for my husband who is in a wheelchair. The hotel is always nice and quiet. It is an older hotel but the buildingy is very Greek and set in beautiful gardens. It has a lot of charm. It is extremely clean and has nice facilities. A great pool. A good buffet breakfast and the staff are all very kind and helpful, especially Chrisoula. Sadly, we were there during 3 days of torrential rain, thunder and lightening and everyone stayed in the hotel and made the most of it. The hotel managed the problems with ease, cleaned down all the terraces and public areas and looked after everyone. It’s our second visit and will not be the last. Thank you to everyone x

I recommend this place! Hotel is just 50m from the beach. AC working perfectly. Room is clean and big. Bathroom also clean. Towels changed every other day. Breakfast are the same everyday but such a variety! We arrived late at night and there was no problem with checking in, the room was waiting for us. Also the communication with the staff was no problem. Loved it here ❤️

A nice vintage style hotel. Very clean pool, quiet and relaxing place . We enjoyed it!!

I have been coming here for many years, some of my family stay at here at times of the year. We come to see them and stay all day, play in the pool and drink and at here. We come for many days, but I’m thinking I will have to go down to the beach now and spend money there as a £5 euro charge for the pool and £5 to enter is so poor. I don’t enjoy the changes.

This is a wonderful old fashioned (in a good way) hotel with a traditional welcoming vibe. We stayed in a studio for three which had all the amenities for making tea/coffee and a good size fridge and a kettle. Beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful but the star of the show is Chrisoula who serves breakfast, lunch and drinks by the pool. She is worth her weight in gold. The pool is huge and surrounded by olive trees for shade. People come back year after year and I can see why, they are greeted by staff with delight and joy. The hotel doesn’t serve evening meals but there are several good restaurants nearby, we ate mostly at the Meltemi which has a lovely terrace with views across the bay, good service and excellent food. I recommend the salmon and the mushroom risotto, my husband loved the the jack daniels marinated pork ribs and the tomahawk pork steak. If you’re put off by the distance from the airport don’t be! We had taxis provided to and from the airport and the drive was very pleasant with spectacular views of tiny churches, olive groves and of course the mountains of Crete. We had a great holiday and thoroughly recommend this hotel.
