Rooms Great air conn, shower, free safe and the cleaner was excellent, there’s a switch as you walk into the room to illuminate green externally to request cleaning and red to decline. There’s a lack of storage, nowhere to put wet swimming clothes or towels, a soft close wc seat would say class to me and the tv only had cnn for British tv, a smart tv is really needed. Food Excellent, lots of choice, the odd blip but you can’t please everyone all the time, if the main didn’t appeal then the salad selection was amazing. The de caffinated coffee was hidden in a drawer, it was available but a senior member of staff had to hand it over and if you got there towards the end of service the it was going cold. Pool bar An air of arrogance, flirts with any young ladies in a bikini but the late shift chap with glasses and a beard, around 40 is wasted cleaning tables, he’s so articulate, conscientious, pleasant and helpful, he has to work with arrogant lazy bar staff. Around the pool was windy, it caught the wind but kos town was calmer and warmer. Reception Great, very helpful, around 20% were probably British guests, the taxi from the airport was 40 euro and the return 50 euro that reception ordered but he was great and punctual. There’s a free cycle hire on day 1, use it, we found it amazing to do 21/2 miles to the marina and quickly see some of kos, it was great fun, the motorized scooters on the street were roughly 7.5 euros for 20mins. Location This is the downfall, 25 mins walk to market square/ dolphin square but it’s a straight boring road and the pavement is 2/3 cycle lane with the rest moped/ cycle parking/ a frame board or street lights as obstacles. Bus station is 40 mins walk. Bus to town, the no2 should be 3 euro for 2 people but the drivers also charge 3.5 and 4 euros- not sure if they’re skimming the cash off the tourists. Watch the bus go to towards lambi and it’s usually 7 mins when it comes back to the cosmopolitan bus stop but on 1 occasion it was 20 mins, the times are unreliable but the last bus is 10,30 from town square. Bus station to Tigaki was 2.5 euro and the taxi back 18euro, the open top bus was good and the 3 hour tuk tuk tour near market square was excellent.

We recently spent 14 nights in the Apollon and found it very pleasant. The hotel was superb, ultra modern, spacious, bright and extremely clean and spotless. We received a room upgrade upon check-in which was a very welcome surprise. The room itself was quite large with very comfortable beds. One thing I did find a bit strange was that at times during our stay, it appeared the hotel would run out of hot water in the evening time and so you ended up having to make do with a tepid/chilly shower - not the end of the world and it wasn't every evening. A few small room enhancements to consider: It would be amazing to have some extra shelving or storage in which to store items of clothing etc as the rooms certainly can cater for it and somewhere to hang swimwear to dry would be really helpful. Aside from that, we loved the room. We also managed to drag ourselves to the hotel gym which although not huge, served us very well. The hotel itself was very quiet but as we were only B&B, we took ourselves off to one of the many beaches/beach clubs nearby and out into town or close by every evening for dinner. Why bring an apple to an orchard when there are so many lovely Greek restaurants to sample. It was my first time to Greece and I can honestly say, I didn't have one bad meal, they were all fabulous! It was approx a 20-25 minute walk into town, however, we did manage to catch a bus into the centre every now and then from right outside the hotel next door or cycled on bikes hired from one of the many bike rental shops located every few metres along the road into Kos. You'll find these everywhere. There are also ample e-scooters for rent although the roads are a tad unfinished in places so be prepared for a bit of a bumby ride - makes the journey interesting! The reception staff were second to none. In particular Poppy, Elona and Ana and a special mention to Daoda (housekeeping) who's expert towel creations put a smile on our faces every time we returned to our room. :) 🙏 You all helped to make our stay so much more enjoyable and you couldn't have been more accommodating - thank you!

We had 11 fabulous nights at the Apollon Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every day of our stay. The hotel and rooms are in excellent condition, being bright, airy, modern, and very well maintained. The bathroom was lovely, with a great shower, and everything was always clean and tidy. The pool area was equally impressive, with clean surroundings and sunbeds in excellent condition. The staff could be seen throughout the day working hard to keep everything looking its best. The food was very good, and I was never short of something I enjoyed eating. Apart from breakfast, we chose to dine outside, which made our meals even more enjoyable. The staff were all extremely helpful, friendly, and cheerful. A special thank you to Poppy and the reception team, the bar staff, waiters and waitresses, cleaners, gardeners, and the management team. Everyone contributed to making our holiday so memorable. The hotel is peaceful and does not offer evening entertainment, which suited us perfectly as we were happy to relax, chat, and enjoy a few drinks in the evenings. Kos Town is around a 20-minute walk away. By crossing the road to the beach, you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the seafront all the way into town. There is also a supermarket approximately 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a clothes airer on the balcony, which would be very useful for drying swimwear and towels. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return in the future. Rating: 5/5

Stayed here for a week as a couple, great base and lovely staff.

Amazing hotel and nice relaxed atmosphere. Location was perfect for us with a nice leisurely walk into Kos town (20mins) .Rooms were spacious and very clean , with cleaning staff leaving lovely decorated towels on the bed each day. Lovely large balcony, (could do with a rail to hang wet towels a swimwear). Food was amazing and plentiful throughout the day and drinks were as expected in an All inclusive. Never any queues at the bar although the hotel was busy. Sunbeds were always available by the pool and with no beds allowed to be reserved with towels , made it a perfect experience. Staff were all polite and friendly ,although 1 young barman was grumpy during the evening sessions and came across as rude ( but I’m sure he’d had a long season). Beach was only across the road with the amazing Mylos beach bar . Would definitely recommend and would stay again .
