Blue Lagoon Resort

Had a bit of a shock when we were told we were in the Satellite/Annex. Turned out to be a good location. We were happy to walk around the complex, but the golf buggys were fun and we used them a lot. I've never come across as many pools in a hotel and as many bars. Staggering. The satellite had 4 pools and as many bars plus a restaurant which was to the side of the lobby/reception/bar (with evening entertainment), which at lunchtimes was ideal. With no need to go to the main restaurant. As an older couple the Adults Only pool at the satellite was ideal. But, what stood out about this place was the staff, everyone was so polite and helpful. In that respect I'd like to shout out Rannie and Anjeanette from the restaurant and Charilyn from the Adults Pool Bar. You really made us welcome. Our room was comfortable and the AC was impressive. Definitely on the Cool side, The sunsets looking over to Turkey were amazing. Our favourite themed Restaurnt was the Greek one. Visited it a few times. It's a hotel well worth considering.

We stayed at the Blue Lagoon Resort Hotel for 10 nights in September as a family of 4. (Children 3 and 4 months). The hotel is immaculately clean. All the staff work really hard to ensure areas are kept clean and tidy. They really cannot do enough for you. The food in the restaurants is always varied and if you can resist putting one of everything on your plate on the first night, there is plenty of choice and you won't feel like you're eating the same food every mealtime. We planned the al a carte restaurants throughout our stay to mix things up a bit. The Chinese was our favourite. However there was always a vast choice of hot and cold dishes at every mealtime, regularly checked and replenished as required. There were clearly managers and head chefs present out front ensuring food hygiene standards were maintained and diners were happy. We had our room cleaned every day, with fresh towels. A travel cot was provided and I believe sterilisers can be hired from reception. It was my wife's birthday whilst we were away and we were left a complementary bottle of fizz in our room on the day which was a really nice touch. The hotel and grounds are large, there are lots guests, however with so many bars and restaurants to choose from, availability was never an issue. There are multiple pools suited for children as well as the onsite waterpark with an abundance of sunbeds at each. The animation team at this hotel are very good. They are full of energy throughout the day, getting people involved in the various activities. The evening entertainment by the same team is to a very high standard every night. The biggest let down for us at this hotel is the all inclusive drinks. The draught beer 'Zorbas' tasted like non-alcoholic. The cocktails were also poor, made with cheap spirits and pre mixed juices. Unfortunately we found this quite disappointing during our stay. We also read some reports of a gastroenteritis outbreak on the island before we arrived. Although we never experienced any issues, the number of people I witnessed using the toilets then not washing their hands, it's no wonder this a problem! The hotel do provide hand sanitisers in every restaurant which we used regularly. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and if you've already booked, I'm sure you will too. As mentioned, better quality drinks would definitely improve the experience for customers, but everything else was very good.

Just been for a lovely week in the blue lagoon resort.what an amazing time we have all had.all the staff are amazing and the food is really good there is abit for everyone.the entertainment team are brilliant really got on well with brogan and christian.will definitely be back

Brogan was the best. The entertainment team were brilliant and made guests days enjoyable. The resort is big and plenty of space with no one on top of you. Great time great food

Our second time here, the entertainment are amazing, aqua gym, aqua yoga, volleyball and the shows - just fantastic, Brogan, Millie and the team are so interactive with the guests. Great pools, you can chill at the quiet adult pool or be at the larger bigger pool, water slides are great and great gyros
