Caravia Beach

We had a fantastic 2 week holiday at Caravia Beach Hotel and Bungalows and overall absolutely loved our time here. It’s a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, and there are so many things that make it a great place for a relaxing family holiday. The staff are amazing and are a real credit to the hotel. Everyone works incredibly hard and is always friendly and helpful. A special mention has to go to the evening pool bar staff — YAMAS! 🍻 They were brilliant and really helped make our evenings enjoyable. The entertainment staff also deserve recognition; they work very long hours, six days a week, and always bring great energy. The hotel itself has plenty of positives. There is a great amount of pools, all with plenty of sunbeds, and we never felt the need to get up early to reserve one in the morning, which was a massive bonus. The grounds are large and spacious, so despite the hotel being busy, it never feels like you’re trapped or overcrowded. The beach is gorgeous, and the sunsets are absolutely amazing. We initially stayed in a standard room with a French balcony before upgrading to one of the bungalow rooms. The bungalow was a huge improvement — very spacious, modern and really comfortable, with plenty of room for a family. However, we found the standard room very basic and quite small for two adults and a child. There was nowhere practical to put suitcases, no proper balcony, and the room felt very cramped. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend staying in one of these rooms for more than around five days. They also felt like they needed a bit more care and attention, with tired paintwork and some areas that could definitely do with refreshing. The food was also great, with plenty to enjoy throughout our stay. A few areas could be improved, especially considering the amount of money it costs to stay at the hotel. The main one for us was the attention to detail and general maintenance. The edges of some pools had green buildup around them, and some of the bridges over the pools had paint/render coming away. There were also areas of exposed, rusty ironwork that children could potentially touch, which we felt should be addressed for safety reasons. The coffee was probably the biggest disappointment food and drink-wise — very basic and not particularly nice. We also felt the variety of alcoholic drinks could be improved. The room cleaning could also be more consistent, as our room wasn’t always cleaned to a particularly high standard. Another area for improvement is around the bungalow rooms in front of the main pool. The ground outside is mainly dirt with no grass, meaning that when you walk back from the pool to your terrace, your feet and sandals get very dirty. This then gets dragged onto the terrace and into the room, and aesthetically it doesn’t look as good as the rest of the beautiful grounds. Adding grass or another suitable surface would make a big difference. In terms of location, there isn’t a huge amount immediately around the hotel. There are a couple of bars in Marmari, which is roughly a 10-minute walk along the beach or around 20 minutes via the road, so just bear this in mind if you like having lots of restaurants, bars and shops right on your doorstep. Overall, we had an amazing stay and genuinely loved our holiday at Caravia Beach. The fantastic staff, beautiful beach and sunsets, spacious grounds, great pools, good food and lovely bungalow rooms made it a holiday we will remember. With just a little more attention to maintenance, cleanliness and the smaller details, it could easily be even better. We would definitely consider returning!

Wow. What an amazing place. Food . Outstanding Hotel cleannesses. Outstanding. Never seen so many cleaner doing so good. I go swimming early. The place looked like a military operation Staff. Outstanding. So friendly. Helpful. Happy Location. Is good. 15mins walk to few bars/restaurants. 25 mins cab to busy good areas With the beach so close and the set up the hotel has on the beach if feels like you have 2 complexes to use Never have to Q for anything Never struggle to get a sun bed Beach or pool Fresh towels every day The grounds. Outstanding The only hick I have ( this is not a complaint ). Just a comment. The all inclusive drinks could be better As a rule I don’t return to the same place twice. But if the Mrs booked this again I would Be happy

Our second visit staying in adults only Junior Suite. Location, only a 15 minute drive from the airport. The accommodation: Clean & modern, cleaned every day, it just takes a while to work out the light switches, of which there are many 😂Balcony views over the pool looks particularly stunning at night. The restaurant: Food is always excellent with plenty of choice, and to a high standard. We found the wine’s accompanying the meal to be great quality. Very relaxed dining environment, A firm favourite was beef bourguignon, the freshly cooked pizzas, lamb kleftiko. A special mention to Elvis, Nikos, Ionna, Aggeliki, Melvin, Christina, to name but a few of the faces that brightened our day. The staff are so friendly and bend over backwards to help. Probably the main reason we would return. Adults only bar: A special thanks to Panos who mans the bar from 10:00-16:00. His English is excellent, and quickly learned our drinks of choice. Evening staff Babis, Iggly & Andreas, likewise were awesome too. It would be nice to have fresh coffee & some branded spirits included, but we knew the deal when we booked, and it wasn’t a problem to us. I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

It was at least second time for me, my parents had been there twice, my daughter at least 4 times. All experiences before were amazing. But now something changed. Probably the usual strategy „we are good and have many clients let’s cut the costs”. Food was good as always, but caused stomach issues for all of us, probably some chemicals had been added to keep it fresh longer. And first time we had issue with sun beds. During our 8 days stay we managed to have sun beds only twice. Many people used chairs from the pool bar nearby, because they had no place to sit. There was a lots of place next to the swimming pool to put new sun beds though. And hotel rules says they will be removing towels if someone „reserve” the bed and not use this, but they did not do it. Our room was next to some filters/service buildings and we had the noise all the time. Also room with sea view was not really sea view - check the photos.

We are enjoying an amazing experience in adults only jr suite with swim up pool ! Wow from check in the service was incredible , the food is absolutely outstanding ! We won’t hesitate to book again an absolutely incredible hotel with amazing staff ! The lady had decorated our room for our honeymoon so nicely , I will be so sad to leave !
