Lovely time at Gaia Gardens. All you need for a good base to explore Kos. Lovely grounds, super clean rooms with computer and coffee machine! Just a short walk to Lambi beach passing lovely taverners and places to drink. Turn left by the supermarket and head towards Mylos Beach Bar..awesome! The pool was fine but the volley ball net did present an obstacle if you just wanted a relaxing swim and had to navigate through two teams of players lol but it did create some lively energy around the pool area! Drinks were limited and the food while tasty didnt present much variety if im honest but then again it is a small hotel and eating breakfast with a mountain view is beauitiful. Very friendly staff and Samos the car hire man is amazing, top guy! Yes I would recommend this hotel for a base to explore Kos but maybe not for a full on experience as the all inclusive didnt really provide enough variety in the food and was limited on the drinks...cocktails extra!!

Lovely hotel and grounds. Arrived at 2am and given keys with no directions. When we opened the door there was people's clothes in there around the room. Back to reception we went. Luckily whoever was in the room was out. Food Good but needed reheating in microwave at times. Gyros night was very good. Pizza night not so much, as they seemed burnt on the bottom. Pool was lovely and lots of noodles etc to use. Sunbeds never a problem. we rented towels for €4 each and they were completely thread bare with holes around the logo. All inclusive drinks limited which we knew before we arrived but ice cream wasn't mentioned as limited and my 15 year old wasn't allowed any as it was for under 12s only! The most bizarre rule I've come across on our extensive all inclusive holidays. The daytime barman could be a bit snappy.....if we asked for something that wasn't included he said "this is the system you booked and you have to follow it"......we was just enquiring. These are things not listed or advertised anywhere such as the Ice cream. We instead paid for ice cream from the freezer in the bar. Not too far to walk to the beach. There's a nice gyros takeaway open late on the opposite corner to the Konstantinos supermarket. Just turn right as you come out of the hotel. No late check out available due to hotel being full which is understandable. The shower room was great and we were able to book a a slot for sole use but there's no Aircon so you end up needing another shower after you have dried. Overall a good stay but wouldn't return to the hotel.

We have had a positive stay at Gaia Gardens overall. The grounds are absolutely immaculate and beautifully maintained, and our rooms are of a good standard, comfortable and cleaned every day. There was always tea and coffee available, fresh towels and the shower always hot. The food overall has been very good. Breakfast has a great choice and the evening meals are excellent, particularly the grill/hot plate and the pizza ovens. Lunch can be disappointing as the selection is a little samey. The main downside for us is the “all inclusive” offering. The safe is an additional €20 for the week, and pool/beach towels are also chargeable. The included drinks selection is quite limited to soft drinks, wine, beer and a small selection of local spirits. The Diet Coke is particularly disappointing! The spirits included are gin, brandy, vodka, white rum, ouzo and tequila. Having stayed at other all-inclusive hotels, we were expecting at least some basic cocktails using the local spirits, along with things such as local cream liqueur, Amaretto or Tia Maria. We were told these spirits are available, but at the manager’s discretion they are chargeable. We also found it disappointing that the all-inclusive finishes at 11pm, even though the bar remains open afterwards — however you have to pay for drinks. Overall, Gaia Gardens is a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds, good accommodation, friendly service and good food. We really enjoyed our stay. I just feel that the all-inclusive package could offer more. Overall, a very enjoyable stay — but the all-inclusive package could be a little more inclusive.
