Lagas Aegean Village

Visit early Sept 2026 for a week. Two 30 year old's visiting Kos for the first time. I will leave an honest/fair review as I know these are people's jobs etc Pro's - Food was good, especially dinner, very varied and tasty - The mini bus up to our room (we were at the top) was prompt and the drivers were very friendly! - The sea water is really clear - The pool was massive and clean Con's - About a 20 min walk into Kardamena town which is fine if you don't mind walking but in the heat it can be quite a lot. They could do a shuttle bus service into town which would be nice. - Everything is a cost! Sun beds at beach, towel hire was £1/2 a day! and £20 deposit. Water was like 3 euro at the pool bar. A pint was £5. Two iced coffees were £9.50. You had to pay to use a safe. All these things weren't mentioned when booking which is annoying! It feels like they try to squeeze anything they can out of you. - No free drink with dinner. usually you get offered a drink with dinner on half boards but not here. - The restaurant manager was a bit rude and old fashioned. All the tables outside the restaurant on the terrace are reserved for other guests which is a shame. We asked to sit outside and we weren't allowed because it was full but then a couple behind us were allowed? - Bar manager at pool was rude and unfriendly but the other pool bar staff were really nice. - It is so hard to get taxi's at this place!! Waited for 45 mins and some guests waited over an hour. Always pre book or just rent a car. We had a nice time away, but this hotel is not worth £1,600 we paid in my opinion. Would not stay here again.

The hotel is spacious and clean, the rooms are also kept very clean by the staff. The restaurant… same food day in day out no change in menu. Plus long trousers for your evening meal and they do not put the air con on anywhere in the hotel … which I find hard to understand when you are extremely hot at meal time .. their form of air con is opening all the doors and windows to let the hot air circulate. I stayed there in September and temperatures were 34° plus … air con is definitely needed .. bar staff are nice but very slow and delivering your drinks, slightly tedious if you are thirsty.. drinks are also quite expensive too. Down on the beach … the hotel have their own sun loungers and charge €4.5 per lounger… I think this is an absolute rip off… never stayed in a hotel anywhere that has done this. The walk to the village is a good 25 minute walk … I did this every night to get my evening meal, but that was my choice. The hotel is nice and clean, expensive for drinks and beach sun loungers, the food was definitely not for me, I’m not fussy but the same day in and day out isn’t good and with little choice.. but each to their own. I would not go back to stay there !

The hotel has lovely views of the surrounding sea area and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, cleaned daily throughout our stay, thank you Alma for looking after our room. The restaurant has plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner (although long trousers need to be worn by men at dinner unfortunately - which can be uncomfortable in hot weather). The waiters were very helpful, in particular Mento who served us on most days! The pool and bar area is spacious (no need to reserve sunbeds at 6am!) and the pool is big and deep enough to actually swim in properly. Shout out to Miguel for his excellent cocktails!. Last but not least the entertainment team Chelsea and Lewis for the activities. Darts, yoga, water polo and mini golf were definitely our favourites, along with the evening entertainment! Thank you guys for making our stay so enjoyable!

Second visit this year! Cannot fault it! We read the bad reviews and laugh. This hotel is HALF BOARD and NOT All Inclusive, OBVIOUSLY you pay for your drinks at dinner. The prices are extremely resaonable, and yes, it is actually a business, not a charity, so you will not pay supermarket prices in a restaurant or bar of the hotel. The food it one of the most “home tasting” food we have ever tried in a hotel, no frozen chips and microwave pizzas, if that is what you are looking for, do not stay here!! The staff, they are all so welcoming and lovely, a tip for all of us, we are on holiday whilst they are working, so a smile will take you a thousand miles. The hotel in general is so well looked after, clean with beautiful manicured gardens. We will continue to go back as much as we can, it has class, or at least they try to keep it classy, and yes, gents DO have to wear long trousers for their evening meals, as laies are not allowed to wear beachware, and I have seen them telling people to go change into something more appropriate for their meal. And as others have said, the people ranting on here that they didnt know, KNOW!!! You read it in almost every review here!! If you like class and good service, along with a relaxing holiday, this is the place for you. Keep up the good work Lagas Aegean Village. See you again soon!!

Lovely stay , lovely hotel . Location for us was a bit to far out (25 minute walk in to kardamena) . There is a local.bus service which you can catch out side the hotel its €2 pp each way . There's Nothing around the hotel, bar or shops etc . I'll start with how clean and presentable the hotel and the grounds are , spotlessly clean and very well kept. The rooms are lovely and spacious with everything you need for a great stay. Plenty of storage space and draw space . We were lucky enough to have a low level floor (room 168). Higher level rooms there is a mini bus to transport you to and from your rooms if you would like as they are quite high up . The food was great , breakfast was a great selection of fruit, cereal , yogurt, breads along with eggs and all the usual cold meats cheese etc . Eggs their bacon sausage Evening meal was also lovely different variety most days , desserts were delicious. The restaurant staff were all so lovely and helpfull . Now for the disappointing points . The pool bar , the young lads that work there are great fair play , but never have we been to a hotel where the pool bar shuts at 5pm then re opens at 9pm /11pm Found this very inconvenient and strange . After 11pm it's all quiet , there is another bar, but its a little posher but again no atmosphere there. Evening entertainment i feel needs to up its game a little , bingo was agonisingly painful to sit through , kiddies disco was 5 songs (all.the same every night). The pool area is great and a good size , no sunbed wars as there are plenty of sunbeds to go around . Any time of day you can find a bed . A bit of tidy music around the pool would have been nice . Also the beach opposite the hotel (the hotels beach may I add ) .. you have to pay for sunbeds €5 euros per bed so €10 per couple, which usually in other places they are free . Plus the beach is all stones and rocks so not the best of beaches .
