First of all I would like to Say this hotel is very nice. The entertainment team are fabulous, all the staff are helpful and the hotel overall is nice. I would like to say it was a 10/10 experience however it just wasn’t and I don’t think I would return to this hotel. The location of the hotel was manageable it was a 20 minute walk into the centre of kardemena Which as a young couple we didn’t mind the walk. Alternatively there was public buses which were 2 euro per person into kardemena which is handy. Kardemena itself is very lively and has lots of bars, restaurants and shops which is perfect for an evening and also a great place during the day for the beach. Our holiday didn’t begin on the right foot from the get go at check in. Where we were told that men have to wear long pants at dinner time, which isn’t a massive deal, my partner just had to go and buy some pants from the shops the next day. However we didn’t know about this until our arrival which was inconvenient as it isn’t on the jet2 website when we booked. Again not a huge deal. When it came to breakfast and dinner it was okay. The breakfast was the same everyday just basic breakfast bites, however no toaster? Dinner times were again a very minimal selection just the same things but different meats or different flavours of pasta every night which got so repetitive. Desserts didn’t change much either. One thing I didn’t understand was that there wasn’t a kids section. So you expect things like pizza, chicken nuggets, fries etc for children however there was none of the sort. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a fussy child to this hotel as there would be nothing for them to eat. Another thing which disappointed me during dinner was that we had to pay for our drinks. I have been to lots of half board places in Greece and I have never had to pay for a drink during an included meal. Not even alcoholic, we had to pay for water which was minimum 3 euro and everything else in between (soft drinks, beer etc). There was no water dispensers , soft drink dispensers like you would expect, if you wanted a drink with your meal you are paying for it. This is also not stated anywhere on the website and if we knew this we probably wouldn’t have booked this hotel. As we spent about 10 euro just at dinner every night which isn’t what we expected to spend at all. The room was nice had everything we needed however we had requested a double room and only received 2 singles pushed together, again not a big deal we let it go, it was on day 2 of our holiday that the balcony door broke and wouldn’t shut at all. Again not a big deal, we were going out for the day so shoved suitcases against the door and told reception to fix it. It got fixed the same day. However when we got back there was tribes of ants in our room, all over the floor. So we killed what we could and cleaned what we could but couldn’t physically get them all, my partner went to grab a crisp from a packet (which we had sealed) and there was ants sitting on his crisps which done it for us. We went and told reception about it and they told us it’s because we had food in the room and said they would send a cleaning lady which wasn’t good enough so I said straight away the crisps were sealed and we have no other foods in our room and we needed to move rooms. Doesn’t help that the windows and balcony were left open by the cleaner the first 3 days in that room. We also mentioned the fact we wanted a double room which we had requested in November when we booked in 2025. Reception did manage to accommodate us to a new room however again wasn’t a double just two singles pushed together as they had none available. The cleaner for our new room was a lot better as no windows or doors left open when we weren’t there and our beds were actually being made for us which is what I expect from a 4 star hotel. In the previous room the cleaner would just leave the sheets and we had to make the bed, a lot of the time the sheets weren’t fully clean or the towels had a stain on them so this was sorted also when we moved rooms. The first morning in our new room I wanted a nice warm shower to start the day, forget it, it was cold and would not warm up. Went to reception without my morning shower and I was asked if I let it run, yes I did however still no hot water. Told it would be fixed so crossed fingers for a hot shower that night which I did receive however shouldn’t have had to ask for hot water for a shower. Same again the other mornings no hot water so just didn’t bother. Very disappointing. We also went to the beach opposite the hotel, this is advertised as the hotels beach which it is as the staff there are wearing the hotel shirt. However you have to pay 6 euro per sunlounger which when that part of the beach is the hotels with the hotels Loungers you shouldn’t have to pay. Another thing we found strange was the opening and closing times for things. Breakfast finished at 9:45 and dinner finished at 8:45 which are just weird times. The pool bar closes at 5pm 1 hour before the pool closes at 6pm which doesn’t make sense. We also found it strange the pool closed so early as when your on holiday a lot of people prefer to eat a lot later so would rather be in the pool longer, so it meant we were stuck to a very strict routine. A lot of the time we weren’t hungry until at least 8pm so we would just stay by the pool after it was closed. The snack bar is open from 12-3 if I remember correctly and this is nice, you obviously have to pay for everything but the menu is varied a lot more compared to the normal dinner so I was happy with this just wish they also did some of those foods in the main restaurant for example fries, pizza, gyros. We spent afew nights at the main bar which was great, the gentlemen working there were very helpful. The cocktails were very good also. Overall our experience with the hotel was quite negative and we wish that these things were fixed because they are small things which could be easily changed to give people a more positive experience. It is a nice hotel if you are planning on going out a lot as it’s only small and quiet but it was the extra costs of dinner drinks and sunloungers which took us by surprise. All the staff were friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible I just don’t rate this a 4 star due to our experience. It’s definitely more of a 3 star.

Just had a week at this resort. First , the positives. The resort is well situated and the pool area is very well presented. However, they do let themselves down with the surly nature of many of the staff which compares very unfavourably with the service and friendly attitude of the people in the nearby town. One word of caution, if you want a quiet rest by the pool forget it. The music resembles a 18-30 resort from the eighties.

We have just returned from a week's stay at this lovely hotel. Please don't listen to the bad reviews. Yes we had a few problems in the room like a leaking air con and batteries need changing for remotes. Report to reception and it gets sorted quickly. Your gonna get bugs and dust in your room it's a very hot climate. All staff were lovely to us. Please and thank you goes a long way. Couldn't fault the food. You want to go to Greece and have chips, burgers, and English food then stay at home!! We had delious King prawns, octopus salad, lamb stews the list goes on. Try new things you may like them. Walk into town was about 20 mins. Unfortunately the sea has broken some of the pathways but just go careful. It's not like we haven't got problems with our own roads right? Town is lovely. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants. Shops are open late and every day. Entertainment team were fun and lots going on every day. The kids club looked good. The pool was huge with a smaller kids area. Music was only louder for the aqua gymnastics. Men are required to wear trousers at night. It's not a big deal. No swim wear allowed in the dinning room. It's an eating area!! It is very steep at the hotel. Its built on the side of a hill and has the most incredible views. 2 mini buses run constantly. You never have to wait too long. If you do who cares. You would wait for a bus or train wouldn't you? I would go back to this hotel tomorrow if I could. It was just what we needed.
