Mastichari Bay

The level of english spoken by the employees and the general manager is very low. It is very hard to communicate. We were on a half board booking. This morning we were told we could swap dinner for lunch and that we could eat at the olive tree restaurant or at the beach terrace. When we got to the beach terrace to have lunch we were then told that we were only allowed to have lunch at the main restaurant which made it impossible because it was already 2pm. After speaking with the general manager we were told that we could have the snacks and that there had been a misunderstanding on our behalf. Unhappy, we told him that that was not the information we were given at reception. We then said we wanted to fill out a complaint form or have access to a complaints book. The general manager said that there was not anywhere we can complain and that the snacks at the terrace were good enough for us to eat. The manager is unkind , unfit for his job and should have respect when speaking to customers. We were told that when we went to reception they did not inform us that we could have lunch at the terrace. The manager at reception today was arrogant, told my wife to shut up and that he worked here for 15 years and never had a problem. This is a very uncomfortable situation and I do not recomend this hotel to anybody who wants to visit Kos Island in Greece.

I was denied a room with my 3 children after prepaying for this room. This man Vasilis cursed and chased us out while screaming obscenities in front of my children and all the guests. I have never experienced customer service like this. We were left without a hotel room and completely embarrassed.

Location is good and food is unbelievable. There is a lot of different types of food and the staff is very kind. Great 4 star hotel.

We have stayed in the village before but this was our first time at this hotel. Our apartment was really nice, spacious and clean. We stayed on a half board basis (although we would have preferred B and B). It worked really well though, as instead of having the evening meal we changed it to lunchtime instead on quite a few days, so we could walk back from the pool or even the beach and have lunch there, the. Go back afterwards. The meals were very good overall, loads of choice and our only comment was that it would have been nice to have a bigger range of Greek specialties. The pools were good and we didn’t have a problem finding sunbeds for the four of us. The staff were very helpful and attentive and sorted out any problems we had. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

We had a nice stay at this hotel on beach, near a quiet fishing village. Most of staff helpful, rooms perfect, food was excellent. Sunbeds are around pools, grassed area and on beach. Always found beds to relax. Bus stop opposite hotel, it was good service at 4 euros each to Kos town. We did a 3 island boat trip but would recommend getting a ferry instead which is near hotel to Kalymnos. Would highly recommend for a quiet holiday. Only negative was being English we weren't treated as well as Germans, basically 90% Germans stay here.
