Overall the hotel is lovely. It is modern and everywhere is clean. The entertainment lads were great. - Joy and Fredo. The food had a huge variety but it is hard to understand what you are eating sometimes because of the labelling. The beach isn’t great for swimming but a great view of Turkey. All the staff were very lovely and helpful. TUI advertised the bus into Kos Town leaves every 15 mins. However, we waited over 2 hours for the bus into Kos despite having the timetable - 2 buses didn’t stop as they were full and when trying to book a taxi we were struggling there as well. Thankfully an empty bus turned up in the end. We wished we walked but in the heat with kids we didn’t. On the way back we waited an hour for the bus back. For that reason, I felt a bit trapped at the hotel as there isn’t much around. Regarding the rooms- we had 2 rooms as we are a family of 5. We requested rooms next to each other but they were quite far apart. Although the rooms are lovely and modern the bathroom could be slightly bigger. The beds are really comfortable though. The entertainment guys are great, but there is no entertainment between 12-3.30pm and the kids wanted to do more in this respect. As for the pool - we used the biggest pool and found that all of our swimwear was turning yellow / orange. So we ruined swimwear and we couldn’t wear anything with light colours / white on it. I washed them in the sink every day but it didn’t fully come out. Something to be mindful of. I did inform reception and they did say they would check the levels but reassured us they check them regularly. I thought it was just us that had noticed but another family said the same had happened to their swimwear. As for the food, Greek night was the best night. Thankfully we noticed before we went into the restaurant area that there was a bbq outside on this particular night as we weren’t informed about this by the waitressing / waiter when finding our seats indoors. We took a trip with Tui that picked us up from the hotel and took us to Paradise Beach to see the bubbles. This was a reasonable price compared to the other boat trips. If you don’t have a hotel pick up and required to go to Kos Town for your boat trips. Be very mindful that you can’t rely on a bus or taxi to get you there on time. Overall, a lovely holiday - clean and modern. Just a few things that could have made it a lot better.

I had an amazing experience at Platanista. From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect. The food was really delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere was vibrant and enjoyable, and you can really tell that the whole team works hard to make guests feel comfortable. The evening program was also fantastic and added so much to the overall experience. It was entertaining, well organized, and created a great atmosphere every night. A special shout-out to the animation team, especially Fredo, Mercy and Joy for bringing so much energy and fun throughout the stay. They were engaging, enthusiastic, and made every activity and evening show even more memorable.

Today is (sadly) our last day at this hotel. We’ve had an absolutely lovely stay!! Our room was quite big and the beds are very comfy. The fridge in the room is also very effective and keeps stuff very cold which is perfect for hot days or going to the beach with a drink. The terrace is also very sweet, and private with a pretty view, we were visited by a Mediterranean house gecko which was very interesting and cute (he was no bother at all, just very cool to see one as we don’t get any in The UK.) The receptionists were so helpful and friendly. The staff working in the restaurant were also so kind and efficient at their job!! The cleaning staff were so so friendly and kind and very good at their job, our room was always so clean and they would always greet us with a smile on their face, so lovely 😊. The walls were basically entirely sound proofed, so very easy to sleep or relax even if there’s something going on outside or next door. The location of the hotel was also super convenient. It’s very close to a handful of super markets, lovely restaurants with the kindest waiters we’ve ever been served by, and a lovely little beach for swimming in, play beach ball or just relax in the sun. It’s about a 30 minute walk from the town centre but realistically it’s a very easy, calm walk with lots of shops, bars and ice cream parlours to stop at on the way if you get tired or hot. Our personal fav aspect of the hotel was the lovely cats! They have lovely soft fur and they are quite chunky so they’re clearly well cared for and happy. They tend to keep to themselves so no problem if you’re not to keen on cats. If you do pay them attention they come and sit near you on the walls sometimes and love being petted or having chin scratches. If we were to come back to Kos, we would most definitely stay again!! Tip: search around for excursions, there are reliable excursion operators in Kos/online.. don’t rely solely on what TUI offers!! They are so much more expensive (so worth shopping around) and get booked up quickly. We went on the 3 islands boat trip (Christina) half the prices of the TUI equivalent!! Also drinks at the hotel aren’t great and massively over priced €6.50 for a small (not very nice) wine. Go to the local supermarkets and stock up your room fridge!!

Single parent travelling with one teenager. Beautiful hotel, very clean, great food, safe, super entertainment team. Sunbeds - we always got one and lots of umbrellas. First day we arrived at 11.30 and got one poolside. However later in our week, as it got busier, more people were leaving towels and they were not being removed. Minimart in hotel and also a few minutes down the road. It’s a good 40 minute walk into town, not many taxis and buses can be unreliable (but they are free!). We walked one morning to go on a boat trip and that was fine. Managed to get bus back. On our last day at 6am one of the lovely cats was crying loudly for about an hour and woke us up. The staff must’ve been aware, maybe it just needed some food or moving away from the rooms! These were small things and all in all a wonderful experience. Thank you. TIP: do try the restaurants across the street for lunch

We have just returned from a wonderful week at this great hotel. We arrived just after dinner finished as our flight was delayed. However waiting for us was a plated cold meat & cheese platter with a lovely bread roll. This set the tone for the week , a great first impression. The hotel is spotlessly clean, room cleaned daily expect Thursdays, The room always smelt lovely and we had the best sleep with the comfiest pillows and mattress. Great air conditioning, handy fridge and hairdryer. We had a lovely side view of the sea with Turkey in the distance. There was no early morning dash for a sunbed as there were plenty and an umbrella per 2 beds . The mattress on the sunbeds were so comfortable. The beach is a few minutes walk across the main road. The hotel has its own section with free sunbeds, umbrellas and a shower. If you like a beach holiday it's probably not for you. The sea is a little choppy as there is a constant breeze sometimes quite windy. The entertainment staff are amazing and really make the stay enjoyable. All the activities are centered around having fun. The food was delicious every single day. There is nothing we can fault and every day there was something different to try. The lunch time preces are very reasonable with a good selection. There is entertainment most nights, we enjoyed the live singers. The hotel is a little out from Kos Town, took us about an hour to walk to the marina however on a scooter it took minutes. They are such a great way to travel once you get the hang of downloading the app. Everyone of the staff were so friendly. There is nothing negative i could say about this hotel , we had such a wonderful week and would highly recommend.
