The Aeolos Beach Hotel

This was not a cheap holiday but the food was absolutely woeful. If you like brown salty (and yet somehow tasteless), lukewarm food, this is the hotel for you. Nothing tasted of anything - the desserts all looked appetising but were just...sweet. The pastries at breakfast were the same. Coffee was awful, drinks were of a low quality and they somehow managed to serve cheese that also tasted of nothing at all. The rooms themselves were well appointed and clean, and the staff were mostly helpful, but the pool was too cold to swim in. The travel agent told us there was a shuttle to Kos Town, which there was - but they have the absolute nerve to charge 4 Euros each way. In most hotels outside of a town, the shuttle is free. Nevertheless, we used it because we had to get ourselves to some decent restaurants. Not ideal when you're all-inclusive. Lastly - when you go on a trip, you have to traipse up to the main road to get the buses, even though there's plenty of room outside the hotel for them to pick you up. We do not recommend

Travelled with Jet 2, 16/10/25, Standard street facing room. stayed for 9 nights. Location- very isolated, no shops or bars or restaurants. a fair way from the main road to get public transport. Number 2 bus to Kos, 2 Euros each way or the hotel's shuttle bus for 4 Euros return but only at certain times throughout the morning and only 2 pick ups at 5pm and 5.30pm. To be booked at reception. ROOM- very basic but cleanish, no room service on a Thursday. POOLS- main pool- disgusting, the floor of the pool is broken and cracked and full of rubbish. the other 3 pools were nice. The furniture around the pool and the pool bar was awful. broken, split, tables discolored and wasps. The beach furniture was also in need of a total replacement. THE BEACH- mainly stones but once you have walked over them its sandy but not enough room to put a sunbed on it. DRINKS- Very limited selection and tasteless. They all tasted like syrup. FOOD- We eat anything and this Hotel is by far the worst All inclusive we have ever had. Again a very limited selection, everything was barely warm. Chicken wings every day. No Children's option other than pizza and chips. The snack bar was suppose to be open from 12-4pm but on the 20/10/25 the hotel decided to close it so the only snacks available was a plate of cheese wraps and a plate of cakes on the bar. The beach bar was closed. ENTERTAINMENT- Absolutely woeful. No children's entertainment at all. No entertainment on a Thursday, its their day off. STAFF- reception very nice and helpful. Dining room and bar staff very miserable especially the young man at the pool bar. Too busy having a laugh with his friends and having a smoke. CATS- they are everywhere, on the sunbeds, chairs and even in the restaurant. When I asked the Jet 2 rep about them being in the restaurant her reply was ' the hotel owner likes them' These are stray cats that have all sorts of germs/ diseases and not all guests like them or have allergies and also not very hygienic having them around food areas. OVERVIEW- Not a 4* hotel and a top tip not to go in October as they are winding down and they really don't care abut the guests.

Wonderful stay at Aeolos Beach Hotel in Kos Superior Bungalow Room was as described, it was a good size with lovely view of sea. We mainly stayed on the quiet size of complex and enjoyed the peace. Staff were attentive and whole site spotless. Beautiful would definitely return. Thank you

This stay has been absolutely magical. We are a couple who live extremely busy lifestyles, and high stress jobs , so to walk into utter relaxation is just what we needed. We always choose start or end of season, for a quiet atmosphere, and this resort did not disappoint. It was quiet, some days feeling like we had the luxury of a whole pool & beach to ourselves, but the hotel kept full service as normal. We chose the premium rooms , and they were comfortable with stunning views , especially sun set. The staff were so friendly, every staff member, from shop, kitchen, waiters, maintenance and of course the lovely reception staff, nothing was too much , from friendly chats , to local knowledge or helping us hire a car . We also had a frequent cat visitor, who ended up getting injured, he also was not neutered and the hotel arranged for him to get treatment, I also found out that the hotel paid for cats to get neutered, to help take the pressure of the local rescues, i just find this amazing. The food was beautiful, we were really worried about this reading the reviews , but it was just as beautiful as the town taverns, im happy they keep it authentic Greek. I have not got enough time to describe how much i love this place, I always say I would never visit a place more than once, and I always find beautiful places , but nothing that gives the feeling this hotel did, I can't wait to visit again. The only small thing I would change is the blanketsn/ toppers , they are single and we would prefer to be under the same one , but that's preference, the beds were very comfortable. Just returned from a week away in beautiful Kos. Our room at The Aeolos Beach Hotel was sea facing and was a decent size room. It was great to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean! Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. Staff at the hotel all work hard and are very friendly. They truly are a credit to this establishment. Food was good for an all inclusive hotel. Fresh salad bar, a small grill section and plenty of hot foods, which overall were very good. Our favourites were the traditional Greek dishes, so fresh and tasty. You will always manage to find something to eat. There is entertainment, very limited, but the gentleman is lovely and he really is working with limited resources. The drinks really let this hotel down! Both spirits and soft drinks have an odd taste. Not a big deal for us as we went to a store in Kos town and purchased our own branded gin and Schweppes tonic. We still enjoyed our evenings sitting at the pool bar area. Overall we would return as the staff, food, hotel grounds and proximity to Kos town were great!
