TUI SUNEO Niriides Beach

This was our 4th time at the Tui Suneo Niriides Beach hotel, why do we keep going back, because all of the staff are like a big family who make your holiday special, they go out of their way to be pleasant, helpful and always with a smile on their faces. The rooms are clean and spacious, the food is lovely with a wide choice of traditional Greek food including various fruits and beautiful cakes. There are 4 big swimming pools and no queues for sunbeds, plenty of activities during the day and good entertainment on an evening. There are local buses to Kos town and to other resorts on the island. We look forward to our return with our family next year. Christine and Alan English

We stayed at Niriides Beach for one week, and overall the hotel itself was okay, we enjoyed ourselves despite several drawbacks. The food lacked quality. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner offered limited variety and felt repetitive; this might have been tolerable if the meals were impressive, but they were not. Most dishes were cold or lukewarm, including the live cooking stations where one would expect hot food. The dessert selection was weak, repeating the same items. Securing a table in the dining room felt chaotic. Guests found a seat, collected cutlery from a separate area, and fetched drinks from the self-serve station. Staff mainly cleared plates. This was manageable normally, but finding a place became difficult during busy periods, especially when tables were removed for entertainment. Several evenings were frustrating, like competing for a sunbed in the morning but for a meal instead. The 24-hour drink station is a reasonable idea in theory but inconvenient when one must visit the bar and then another spot for soft drinks; combining them would make sense. Alcoholic drinks were fine for me: beer was acceptable and cocktails met expectations. Most staff were kind and pleasant, apart from a few who were abrupt or rude without cause; nevertheless, the team seemed close and familial, which was nice, the cleaners were especially nice and did a great job. The hotel itself was acceptable; we stayed in the newer complex, where the room was well presented and very clean, positioned close to the pool. We had no trouble securing a sunbed, though this may reflect the time of year. Around the pool was really clean and well presented. Several power cuts occurred in the dining room, but they did not spoil anything and were resolved quickly. Given the open-air layout, the main entertainment took place on an outdoor stage with most seating outside. Unfortunately, the wind kept us from staying long, and the late performances would make sleep difficult; from our room, everything was audible even with the balcony door closed, but that’s being picky. Other details from the stay include the pool tables, which were not noted as costing 2 euros per game, so bring change. There is no storage for bags during a late transfer, which was disappointing. There is little beach near the hotel; most options are down the road, a 10- or 15-minute walk away, and all require payment for entry. The gift shop beside the hotel is convenient, offering decent souvenirs, drinks, and snacks, while the town is close enough for a pleasant trip. As I mentioned at the start, our stay was acceptable; we still enjoyed relaxing and the sun and this was reflected in the cost. Ultimately, a holiday depends on what you make of it, but I would prefer to share our experience with others, since I would want to know the same before visiting.

Despite the location being slightly out the way this hotel makes up for it in other aspects. Biggest thing they have is there staff, everyday a smile a chat and laugh at the bar! You were really made to feel part of there little family every day. Atmosphere was amazing then entertainment team did a great job every day! Drinks behind the bar are on the cheaper side which is expected from a tui suneo all inclusive. Food in the reasturant was a good mixture of things and I always found something, my partner can be fussy and she found a meal every day and night. Some of the chefs are like mamma's home cooking, the beef stiffado was on par with some of the tavernas. Cleanliness i can not fault that side, floors being swept and mopped constantly to ensure a high standard. The main buildings rooms are abit dated but tbh its 3 stars and I ended up with an amazing sea view room. Once again back to staff donna (bar manager) and her team - Barbara, george, george, doctor george (gone now) panos and anyone i may have missed were just amazing bunch of people! From the first day I got there we were all cracking jokes and just having good vibes. If you want a nice chilled relaxing holiday then get yourself there.

Can't fault the friendliness and cleanliness but a lot of things lacking for an expensive all inclusive. After 10 years of all inclusives the drinks are the worst. Extreme lack of choice of food . No poolside towels . Put in the pokiest of rooms . Tried to upgrade but told to cancel holiday and pay again . Other TUI customers put into nicer modern apartments. Luck of the draw?
