Tomorrow morning we will be leaving Utopia Blue Hotel after an amazing 10 days filled with unforgettable memories. We have stayed at many hotels in different countries, but this is without a doubt the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Everything was outstanding – the rooms, the food, the cleanliness, the service, and the wonderful atmosphere. However, what truly made this holiday so special were the incredible waiters and the fantastic entertainment team. The waiters were always smiling, friendly, and helpful, making us feel welcome and appreciated every single day. The entertainment team deserves special recognition – they were energetic, professional, creative, and fully dedicated to making everyone's holiday unforgettable. The daily activities and evening shows were exceptionally well organized and brought so much joy to both children and adults. We would like to thank the entire Utopia Blue team for creating such a wonderful place and for making our holiday absolutely perfect. We came here for a family wedding and paid over £7,000 for what was advertised as a luxury family holiday. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've ever had. If you're travelling with children, avoid this hotel. The so-called "main" family pool is tiny and completely overcrowded. The sunbeds are crammed together so tightly that it genuinely feels like you're packed in like sardines. Meanwhile, the vast majority of the resort is spacious, peaceful and reserved exclusively for adults. This was never made clear when booking, and had we known that most of the facilities were adults only, we would never have spent this amount of money. The service is equally frustrating. In the evenings, drinks are table service only. We waited 50 minutes for a single drink, and when we approached the bar ourselves, we were told to sit back down and wait. For an all-inclusive resort, this is unacceptable. It effectively limits what you can eat and drink because the service is so painfully slow. The food has been another huge disappointment. Breakfast is consistently lukewarm or cold. At lunch, the main restaurant is left open with multiple flies landing all over the food, which is completely unhygienic and unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be five-star. Our room has been infested with ants every single night, and other members of our family have repeatedly had rooms that weren't cleaned and no fresh towels provided. The final straw was how our children were treated. When more family members arrived, we naturally went to sit with them, only to discover yet another area was adults only. Our children, aged 12 and 13, were then approached by hotel staff on three separate occasions and told to leave the pool. At no point did staff approach us, the parents. Instead, they singled out and embarrassed our children, leaving them upset and anxious about using any of the hotel's facilities. That was completely unnecessary and entirely unacceptable. Staff should have spoken to the adults, not made children feel as though they'd done something wrong. This hotel clearly prioritises adults over families. If you're looking for a couples' holiday, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're travelling with children, don't waste your money. For over £7,000, we expected a luxury family experience. Instead, we've been left feeling misled, frustrated and incredibly disappointed.

Beautiful hotel. Clean rooms. Good friendly staff

“A trip doesn’t have to be perfect to be a success” is a statement that applies to both the travelers and the hotel where they stay, and which can actually be summarized in one word: everything revolves around “enjoyment”. We have had the privilege of staying at the Utopia Blu hotel in Kos six times already. Since the renovation a few years ago, we have seen the hotel grow. And yes, growing pains don’t only affect children; a hotel, too, needs to re-evaluate itself every season. Every year we see adjustments/improvements in all areas, but it is striking that the staff is very approachable and incredibly helpful year after year. The first contact with the staff is and remains the calling card of any company, and this is also true for Utopia Blu, and they are very aware of this. “Enjoyment” is what Utopia Blu stands for. Ensuring that their guests have a pleasant stay is their sole concern, and believe me, they know better than anyone how to achieve that. This year (read: last week - June 2026) was exceptional! A new management open to dialogue, a “chef de cuisine” who sets the bar high with his team, and the politeness and professionalism of every member of Utopia Blu impressed us even more this year than before. To all staff: you ensure that Utopia Blu does its best to look beautiful. All the ingredients are there to make it a great holiday! And for us? It feels like coming home every single time!!!
