Akti Imperial Deluxe

Visited 11-15 April, the hotel was very busy, busier than what I expected this early in the season. But staff seeming to cope very well. Restaurants were busy. Didn’t get to experience the speciality ones which was a shame, but the moral buffet was what you would expect, there was plenty of choice and no excuse to go hungry. But it would get monotonous if there for a couple of weeks. There are restaurants along the main road and May were starting to open for the season. We did have to queue for dinner most evenings but we were seated within 15 minutes. The pool is lovely and plenty of sunbeds, some are more tired and I would expect cushions at a 5* but can’t please all I suppose. The ‘private’ beach wasn’t quite ready and looked like it had taken a battering over the winter. Easy to get buses and taxis from the location and a nice flat location for those less able. Room was small and the balcony even smaller we had a sea view which was lovely but did struggle to see over the top if seated. You know what you get with this hotel and we had a nice time but it wasn’t outstanding and there are other nicer hotels on the island in the same price bracket.

What stood out most about the Akti Imperial Resort were the Animation Team. I appreciate that it was the start of peak season so wasn't expecting much, but the Animation Team outdid themselves. Especially Nemo, José, and Andrei. Nemo was the main host for the day and can speak like 100 different languages which means all guests could feel included and get involved with the entertainment. José would always make sure my friends and I would get up and dance, which made us less nervous as the week went on. Last but not least, Andrei. So kind-hearted, absolutely loved his energy, throughout the day you'd always see him with a massive smile on his face and making sure all guests were happy, and out of everyone his dancing had the most energy, nothing but good vibes from him. As for the bar and restaurant staff, all were amazing, so polite and efficient. Honourable mentions to Alionka and Snezana who were very amazing and always cheerful bartenders in the evening rush. All in all, I would likely return here from the great Animation Team and Bar Staff alone, they were the highlights for me personally.

The night time entertainment was the highlight of our holiday, Nemo the host was so funny and got everyone up dancing and laughing, Andrei and Jose added to the experience with their funny ways and interactive personality, but we made sure to turn up every night for it.

We stayed as a family of five from 12-19th April in 2 rooms. The staff are so hard working and friendly as well coping with organising so many guests efficiently and smoothly. The outdoor pools are lovely and refreshing and the temperature is fine once you are in! The entertainment staff are great fun and get everyone joining in with activities during the day and evening. A shout out to Jose who was brilliant and so friendly. The other entertainment staff were also so much fun. The area is a great location and you can reach lots of great places nearby. The sunsets over the hotels beach are incredible. We will definitely be coming back here again:

We’ve just returned from a week at this hotel with 3 teens, and we had a great time. Despite the weather not being brilliant all week, the extensive facilities at the hotel meant there was always something to do. We enjoyed basketball, table tennis, boules, swimming (indoor and outdoor), football, tennis, jet skiing, plus a trip to the Old Town. The rooms were comfortable; staff extremely friendly (especially Dimos); surroundings spotless; and entertainment crew were good fun. The food was brilliant - a really good range of options at every meal and very good quality. One of our children is quite a fussy eater and she found things to eat at every sitting. Having so many bars and restaurants/ snack bars meant that you could have a change of scenery regularly. We didn’t discover the sports bar until our last day though, which was a shame! Only slight negatives were that the pools weren’t heated so they were freeeezing (you get used to it once your whole body has gone numb though!!). Also, the air conditioning didn’t work in the rooms as the whole hotel system was still set to heating as it’s the start of the season. Whilst I understand that, it was annoying as it got really hot at night in the rooms. Only a short term issue though as I believe they turn the air con on in May. Overall we really enjoyed our trip and would definitely return…& have already recommended the hotel to friends!
