The location is the best, 3 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to the old town. Clean rooms and delicious breakfasts. Nice pool and friendly staff. I recommend it ❤️

Nice and very clean hotel with a good location. Rooms were good and the housekeeping was doing a good work. All the personnel working in Hotel Athena were extremely friendly. They were doing their work very professionally but also with a smile and a good humour. Definitely a good choice for your accommodation.

The first experience was before our stay. The messages were got were unpleasant and rude. They even suggested us to change the hotel. Furthermore, we booked 3 rooms but eventually did not get the rooms we had paid for. Be very careful with the room types, they are confusing and they don't offer you the options you have requested upon. We made a mistake with that. We got no information about the evening programme in the hotel what so ever. But overall, Athena was a decent and clean hotel. But does not deserve more than 3 stars.

I have stayed at this hotel before, but this time it was a major disappointment. The quality has clearly declined. The website shows renovated rooms, but in reality the standard rooms are outdated, worn out, with tiny bathrooms that look like they are from the 80s–90s. The breakfasts are very poor, with hardly anything to choose from. The fruit is apparently meant for all guests: one kiwi, one peach, one banana, and one apple for the entire dining area. To be clear — this is for all guests at breakfast. In the middle of the season, there are no watermelons or melons at all. The outdoor tables are dirty, with no tablecloths or even napkins. Overall, a complete disappointment.
