We chose Mikri Poli Rhodes because we expected a safe and comfortable family holiday, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. We found a cockroach in our room and reported it immediately. The hotel offered several goodwill solutions, such as a rental car, massage, excursions and additional restaurant opportunities. However, these did not represent real compensation for our situation. We were travelling with two small children and we already had a rental car, so these options were not useful for our family. We did not request a room change – not because we accepted the situation, but because moving all our belongings and changing rooms with two small children during our holiday would have caused significant additional stress and disruption. Instead of taking responsibility and providing an appropriate solution, we were told to contact a booking platform where, according to the hotel, our compensation should be handled. However, we booked and paid for our stay directly with the hotel, so directing us to a third party was not an appropriate or responsible solution. Two days later, instead of a proper solution, a cockroach insecticide spray was placed in our room. After already reporting a cockroach, finding insecticide spray in the room was extremely upsetting and felt humiliating, especially as we were staying there with young children. Additionally, the lack of proper mosquito protection (no mosquito net) resulted in severe, inflamed bites on our 2-year-old child. We have photos documenting these reactions. We appreciate that the staff was polite, but the way this situation was handled did not meet the standards expected from a family resort of this category. We hope that the hotel will reconsider the situation and provide a fair resolution.

We are here now, my wife and I and the 5 kids Yep we are 7, so had to split in two rooms:- Summary: really happy so far 1) no mosquitos 2) 6 swimming pools, more than enough- the pools cater for a variety of ages - the pool by the beach is top drawer 👍 The main pool fun and lots of beds and the pool with the bar in the middle are nice 👍 spoilt for choice for pools - some of them are very modern. 3) splash park is good, for 20 mins, perhaps not as good as some eurocamp splash parks we are used to - we have 7,9,12,15&17 year old. They’re all happy. 4) Food is ample, lots of choice, very fresh 5) grounds are good. Hard working gardeners everywhere. Lots count of the Ancient olive trees are a real credit 6) WiFi is excellent. Everywhere. 7) private beach is nice, free beds, free soft drinks, free beers etc HOWEVER pack water-shoes, the pebbles are hard to walk on. 8) quick transfer (34 mins) we were first off the bus 9) not perfect - wobbly shower head, occasional smell by the splash park, it is what it is! 10) Rooms: they are really better than the photos show. I was worried about the size. I am adding photos to show. Given there are 7 of us in two rooms I was worried about where the cases go etc and it’s fine We had inland view and side sea view with partition and they’re great. So far so good, enjoyed our first few days enough to write this review 🫶
We came to this hotel last year and decided to come back because we enjoyed our stay so much. This year they had really upped their game with the entertainment and how friendly and fun the animation team were in particular max and tomas. As well as that the variety of food was even better and when we had problems the housekeeping staff were on it immediately wanting to help us out.
We have just returned from an 11-night stay at Atlantica Mikri Poli Rhodes and had a fantastic holiday. It's a great hotel for families, with excellent facilities, friendly staff and entertainment that genuinely stood out. Accommodation We stayed in a family room with a sliding door overlooking the Kids Club area. We had requested a quieter location before arriving, while still being within easy walking distance of the main pool and restaurants, and the hotel got it absolutely right. The room was spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. The bathroom toiletries and towels were good quality, and the pool towels were a decent size and could be changed every two days. Housekeeping did an excellent job, servicing the room daily and replacing towels each day and providing bottled water each day. Restaurants & Food There was plenty of choice at every meal, with dishes replenished quickly throughout service. The restaurant staff worked incredibly hard, clearing tables efficiently and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting every table and chair before the next guests were seated. Special thank you to the lovely Debra and Miltos who always greeted you with a smile and a friendly chat. The food was consistently very good with lots of variety. We booked all three à la carte restaurants. The Mediterranean and Polynesian restaurants were a nice change from the buffet, but our favourite was definitely the Italian. Although buffet-style, it had a more upmarket feel, and the food/cakes were delicious. The buffet restaurant also had a kid’s section with lower counters where children could help themselves. Entertainment The entertainment was one of the highlights of our holiday. Rather than relying on amateur-style productions, the evening programme featured comedy sketches, interactive games and professional acts that kept everyone entertained. The animation team were outstanding throughout our stay. Every evening began with the children's mini disco, where the team danced with incredible energy and enthusiasm, making sure every child felt included. After the disco there was a children's game, often with more than 30 children taking part. A lovely touch was that whenever a child was eliminated, Magda would ask their name, give a huge high five and the audience would give them a big round of applause, making every child feel special. A special mention goes to the fantastic animation team: Filippa, Gabi, Max, Messi, Miška, Nicol, Sarah, Tomas, Lucas and others, all led by the brilliant Magda. They worked tirelessly from morning until night and their enthusiasm never seemed to fade. Audience participation helped the animation team and made for a far better experience, so be prepared to clap, cheer and join in. Kids Club Our six-year-old daughter absolutely loved the Kids Club and chose to go every day it was available. She quickly bonded with all the team, especially Nicol, who made a real impression on her. They did arts and craft, trips to the beach, pools and the waterpark. Also a bubble party which was great fun and a water mini disco. Pools The hotel has 7 pools spread throughout the complex, including a separate water park and toddler splash park with plenty of slides. We never had to get up early to reserve a sunbed around the family pool, which was a huge bonus. The main pool was busier, but we could always find somewhere to sit. Exploring the Area There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel, along with a shuttle service to Rhodes Town. A local village with shops, bars and restaurants is around a 10–15 minute walk away and is well worth visiting. We chose to take a taxi to Rhodes Old Town because our daughter suffers from travel sickness. It cost €38 there and €42 back, and it was absolutely worth the visit. We also booked a three-hour submarine boat trip online, which included two snorkelling stops. It cost £68 for two adults and one child and was excellent value. There are also plenty of places nearby where you can book excursions if you prefer. The hotel's pebble beach wasn't really for us, so we spent a day at Tsambika Beach instead, which was about a €18 taxi ride away. This recommendation actually came from Max on the animation team, and we're so glad we took his advice. The beach was beautiful, our daughter loved the huge sand dune, we all had great fun on the inflatable obstacle course in the sea, and lunch could even be ordered from one of the beachfront restaurants and brought directly to our sun loungers. Overall Atlantica Mikri Poli Rhodes is a fantastic family hotel with excellent food, spacious accommodation, great pools and some of the best hotel entertainment we've experienced. The animation team really made our holiday memorable with their enthusiasm, kindness and genuine care for the children. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to families looking for a fun, relaxing holiday in Rhodes, and we'd happily return in the future.
