Atlantica Princess

Just returned from a wonderful 10 days at the Atlantica Princess with friends. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and the warmth from all the staff throughout our stay was exceptional. We travel on lots of Tui holidays and have never experienced such friendliness before. A special thanks to Christina who works tirelessly behind the pool bar, for our tray of coffee each morning upon arriving at the pool. Food was lovely and varied although they don't appear to like runny fried eggs no matter how often I asked them not to leave them to go hard, but this was a small thing and I learnt to live with it. The pool was large and plenty of room for swimming even when pool sports were taking place. In September there are always plenty of sunbeds so no need to panic. Overall this is one of the best Tui holidays we have been on, made so special by the wonderful staff.

Me and my partner had two spa treatments provided by Katerina. It was incredible and very relaxing. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering. The value for money is great and very clean.

The hotel, service, housekeeping, and food were all of a very high standard. The sea is nearby, though you have to leave the hotel grounds to reach it, and sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach come at an extra cost. The pool is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of sun loungers. The room was spacious, featuring a large balcony and a sea view. However, we have a major complaint regarding the comfort of the bed: the double bed sloped to one side, and the mattress was stained yellow from urine and torn in several places.

I will start by saying that the staff, cleanliness and food at this hotel are all excellent. We were all inclusive and couldn't fault the food. Theme nights with plenty of variety. The staff were all great but special mention to Nikos (who makes the lunch service run like clockwork). Christina the hardest working pool bartender I know. Litsa on reception who was always friendly and helpful. Lastly and by no means least Olya who was great with all the customers and children. Now to the downside of the hotel. my wife has walking difficulties and as such we need a room with a walk-in shower rather than a shower over a bath. Unfortunately the travel company did not relay this request to the hotel so when we arrived we found that we were allocated a room with a bath. Upon asking at reception I was informed that there only two rooms in the whole hotel with walk in showers and they were allocated. This is a hotel with over 200 bedrooms!! the lifts are also small and not big enough for a wheelchair. I realise that this is an older hotel and that when it was built it would have been mainly baths but times have changed. I assume that the hotel will be largely closed down over the winter? would it not be an ideal time to start a rolling program of bathroom modernisations? The rest of the bedroom is fine with plenty of storage space, a flat-screen TV, a safe, kettle, comfy beds and a balcony. It is just the bathroom that would need done. Just a note on the breakfast layout. Where the tea and coffee are situated the vast majority of diners will have to walk back thought the children's section to get to their table carrying cups of hot tea etc. I know it is late in the season but would it be an idea to relocate it for next year to avoid any potential safety issues? Would I return? Yes, but I suspect I won't be able to unless there are major refurbishments in the bathrooms.

Lovely hotel, amazing food, fantastic massage from Katerina which made a rainy day absolutely exquisite! A wonderful holiday 😊
