Electra Palace Rhodes

Just got back from a 4 night all inc break. Good and bad points... Check in was quick, the site stated 'welcome drinks' but we didn't get this. I think a bottle of bubbles in the room would have been nice. We got guided to our room - i think either a little map or a walk around before going to the room would be better and with an explanation of when things open/close/ how many times you can book etc. The hotel only reopened on the Monday for the season and it felt like they didn't have enough staff to serve drinks. Personally, they need a beer/wine taps as the queues were mainly for cocktails. Wine quality felt low. With it being all inc, we expected a wrist band but instead we kept having to give our room number... unsure if this was a test that we remembered it but I know the first day I definitely gave the wrong number 🙃 Restaurants: didn't manage to get into the greek Restaurant. The Wine room was not opened (we were not told this) coffee shack, lovely coffee, not enough snacks for an all day thing (in my opinion) as we went out for the day, missed lunch, it would have been nice to have more than a little baguette to keep us going. Ice cream, basic and tasted cheap. Italian restaurant, we managed to get in, food was delicious, amazing service. Shame they didn't have Italian wines to match the food. Buffet restaurant: breakfast was typical English foods with a really nice egg station. Plenty for everyone. Lunch and dinner, had something for everyone and all tasted ok. Desserts were lovely with plenty of choice. Shout out to Hayat, who was so lovely and always remembered our drink order at dinner. Pool area, very instagram friendly, i didn't go in as it was a little chilly. Lovely areas to sit. I loved the beanbag area. There is a DJ on for alot of the day. I dont think its needed but each to their own. Gym, was a little small and zero aircon. Was hard on a treadmill. The indoor pool and spa looked clean and tidy but didn't use. The gym also opens at 8am as per the website but the sign in the foyer says 10am Beach, lovely private beach area with a bar and plenty of seating Room, we were in room 2102, with a garden. It was advertised as private but it wasn't completely. It was lovely to have alot of outside space. The room was ok, a few niggles, the bathroom had no extractor fan and needs a few repairs. couldn't get the aircon under 24 degrees. I would have also expected better beach towels and slippers but thats only due to it being 5 star rated. Nice having a fridge. I loved the zero plastic. Being given a water bottle and finding refill stations was amazing. I always have mine anyway but this was a lovely touch. There are other areas we found like tennis courts, volleyball, basketball and football but no indication where you could get equipment to use. You are also over the flight path but this wasn't an issue for us. We used the bus service to the old town, 4.5 euros one way. Id highly recommend, it was a lovely day out. They also offer days to Lindos and other places at reasonable prices, we didn't have the time to do it all. A taxi back from the old town was 16 euros. All in all, a lovely stay, I wouldn't say 5 stars as there is still room for improvement but I would return.

We had high expectations for Electra Palace having seen previous reviews and TikToks, the rooms/pool are great and lovely spaces, the good ends there. The service at the bars is sooooo slow, staff seem uninterested and there is always a long queue for drinks. Previously it seems that you could have ordered drinks direct to loungers, this is no longer the case. Drinks are often served in paper cups because they run out of actual glasses. The drinks are made from cheap mixes and are really not good. The coffee shop and ice cream shop hardly had any stock and as a result offered very basic selection. Restaurants are fully booked upon arrival and have very little capacity. The all inclusive buffet is ok, there was good variation but food was often stone cold or lacking flavour. Overall a bang average resort that could be made so much better with more attention to detail.

We visited this hotel in September 2025 (sorry late review) Wow, what a beautiful place, the hotel is lovely, when we first arrived we spoke to a few couples that had returned year after year and we realised why. It was relaxing, you had the option of sea / sand or pool with music and less breeze. The place was very clean, food was lovely, I enjoyed every meal, there was a different theme every night. The only thing I would say, the fruit section wasn’t very good, not much of it really. Plenty of sunbeds all day long. Pool was a bit chilly some days but fine once you’re in. We had a sea view and watched sunrise some mornings, was beautiful. Rooms were good size, we did notice the floors were not cleaned very well though, but other than that it was fine. We had a great stay, we wouldn’t return to the same hotel as we like to try new places, but we would come back here, it was a lovely olace. You won’t be disappointed.

Anna and the rest of the team were brilliant in the Greek Tray Club. Fantastic service and very quirky appetisers.
