Electra Palace Rhodes

We have just spent a lovely week as a three generation family of 8. The hotel is fantastic and we could not find fault with anything. It is. spotlessly clean, the rooms are very comfortable and the chambermaid was very friendly each morning, thank you for taking such care Lola. The food at the Buffett was always fresh and such great variety. We never struggled to get a table for 8 and service etc was good. The pool area, although half term , was not overcrowded and we never not managed to get a sun bed. We were glad to see beds being removed of items if the people had not been on them for a while, especially the day beds which are popular. The entertainment on an evening was very good also. Thanks also to George on reception on an evening who was very kind and helpful when we needed advice. We dined in the Greek Tray Club and the Italian on an evening and would agree with other comments I had read that the Italian is much better at lunchtime. I think a bigger variety of dishes is needed on an evening to make it stand out. The ice cream shop was a big hit with lots of variety of ice creams to choose from. The Coffee shop was also great for drinks and snacks during the day. Rhodes town was a 15 minute taxi ride away or there is a shuttle service. The old town was really lovely and worth a visit. As said earlier we could not fault the hotel at all and cannot wait to return, it really is a great place to stay in Rhodes.

We’ve had a fab 10 days here. Lovely hotel, nice food, easy access to a pebbly beach with lovely views. We even enjoyed seeing the planes fly over! We walked into town a few days. Town is a bit of a walk but not too bad. Went on the shuttle to Rhodes old town and that was worth a visit. Picked up at the hotel and dropped back and 19 euros got us both there and back! Staff are all lovely and friendly. Our housekeeper Donna was so friendly and worked very hard to keep our room lovely and clean. We’ve stayed in a lot of nice hotels and usually don’t return as we like to try other places but I think we will return here in the future. Best relaxing holiday we have had and the weather was fab too 😎

Location . Bit of a walk to find decent shops. So where to start really . 1st room we were given was small an very noisy till quiet late at night. Food limited. Reformed . Reshaped. If you want a bed around pool edge . Good luck ! . Same folk everyday no chance . We ended up on bean bags each day . Cocktails ! . I don't think any of the staff know how to make any of what's on their list . Best restraraunt is the Greek . Absolutely amazing food . Thank you Angela you are amazing thank you for the amazing service an food . The pool area is run by a life guard . Who seemed hell bent on spoiling kids fun . All you can do is play ball or swim . They call her the terminator . I did notice as did others that men could do as they liked . We're as she almost bullied the kids . 1 occasion no towels at all the housekeeper took the used 1s . Then told us there's no towels . An to go to reception we did . Only to be told go an wait in your room . 1hr later we were fed up . Got to the 2nd floor where a housekeeper took them from another room !! . If you fancy a hot choco with the kids at night . You have to sit somewhere scan a qr code an wait 30 mins .ridiculous .when no 1 was waiting at the bar . As that's where the machine is . We will not be going again . They say they're a family holiday . Not a lot for kids . Certainly not on the food front .as again other parents mentioned . 1 gd thing . They have cucumber water an lemon ater on tap .
