Esperia

Lovely experience at Esperia. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Hotel clean and fresh. Room was a decent size and quiet, refreshed daily. Breakfast tasty and plentiful. Bar for a peaceful evening drink. Location is great, local restaurants and shops, car hire across the road. Felt very safe in the area, and in the hotel itself. Easy walk to town centre, Old Town, beach and harbour for boat trips. There is pool but it's not the kind I'd choose to spend a leisurely day around, but that wasn't the point of my trip, better to explore the island. The building works opposite look imposing at first but had no impact on my trip. A great value holiday, lots of lovely memories.

We loved our stay here. The staff are all lovely & always greeted us with a cheerful smile. The location was perfect for us, between the beach and the magnificent old city. Just steps outside the door are lots of restaurants, bars & shops, lots of choice to suit everyone. Our room was comfortable (really comfy beds & pillows) with a balcony looking over the pool. It's a lovely quiet area to sit. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice & delicious (especially the cakes & pastries). It was mentioned in the description about the building work at nearby hotels but we decided to book anyway. So glad we did, we were not bothered by any noise while we were there. It is a shame that building works are part of the view but there's nothing the Esperia hotel can do about that Overall, we had a wonderful 7 day break & we will definitely go back & stay again. The Esperia is on a good location in the city of Rhodes: close to the sea, the (newer part of the) city, and on a walking distance from the old town. Rooms are outdated, but good enough. Breakfast is OK. I have to say, as in many hotels, you will be woken up some day (or in our case: almost every night) by someone moving chairs or beds or whatever which you'll hear throughout the whole building. Upon checkout, there's nowhere to store your belongings other than just in the lobby beneath the main staircase.

I spent a week in an apartment with my two-year-old child and we truly enjoyed our stay. The room was functional and clean. All in all good value. Special thanks to the whole staff! Everyone was really friendly and gave special attention to the child. One waitress even gave her childs old toy to my daughter when we were having breakfast. The only downside was the large construction site across the road but that is something the hotel can't do anything about. There wasn't a lot of noise but it affected the view. I would recommend this hotel at least when traveling with small kids.

The room was a bit small but very clean. Neat and clean bathroom. Nice shower. Transfer from the airport was well arranged. We were dropped off about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Very friendly staff, both at the reception, in the breakfast room, and in the bar/lobby. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were also very neat and friendly. Generally very quiet in the lobby and bar. A neat breakfast room with an extensive breakfast buffet. Something for everyone. The pool is very small but perfect for cooling off. It wasn't busy this time of year, so there was always a chair or sunbed available. The (pebble) beach is within walking distance. The only downside was the view from the balcony and the noise from construction work next door. When booking, we were told there might be noise from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. We're not late risers, so we figured it wouldn't be a problem, but the construction work started at 7:00 or 7:30 AM.
