The staff. Excellent. As previously reviewed by others. (APR) Cleanliness, excellent. APR. View through hotel from looby bar. Excellent. APR Location, good. APR Rooms, sparse & tired. APR Food, mediocre. APR Luxury hotel. Think not. APR Value for money. No. APR TV in room. Only 3 English channels. All news Do not get a room with a bath, unless you are a contortionist. If it rains !! Beach bar effectively out of order and lobby bar , unusable as not enough seats for guests and very limited service ( table only). So no drinks then ! A la carte. Restaurants Book when you arrive APR. Forget joke prices on menus Food. Order everything on the menu, as you will probably be disappointed. Pools are NOT heated !. Ok if you like cold water swimming ! As noted above, staff are excellent 5 out of 5 and without them it would be an overall 2 out of 5. Will the management / group read and act upon reviews. I think not !! Could really be very very good with some changes. !!!

The 5 stars are for all THE STAFF but these in particular... Reception (Kiki) Customer relations(Katarina) Bar Manager(Christos) Restaurant (Alexis & Servasti) Asiana (Marriana) Have pointed these out for service well above & beyond in dealing with particular problems/arrangements. Overall the hotel looks & lives up to the pictures but the rooms need an update! Insisted on moving from Room 603 as AC unit for hotel is directly below & frustratingly hummed away endlessly..also the restaurants are directly opposite so no privacy ...had to have curtains closed constantly. Dealt with immediately but was very upsetting to be moving after unpacking only the previous day. New room quiet, more private & clean but needs a refurb..shower g8 bt useless shower screen/curtains, furniture old & stained, no mirrors in bedroom.. only bathroom. MAIN LOBBY BAR...quite annoying unless you stand at bar & insist & not sitting down & wait for service. This is not encouraged but IS ALLOWED...& you will get your drinks much quicker then you can go find somewhere to sit. BEACH BAR ...brilliant. Great range of cocktails/lovely plastic glasses for beach & happy/efficient staff. Fantastic crepes/icecream & food. Clean toilets. However the fixed parasols on beach are useless. Old & sharp edges that you bump your head on, cannot be moved or tilted & regimented beds under each one. We dragged a bed a couple of metres to use a tree for shade & got shouted at by beach staff Yiannis. Once again immediately dealt with by customer relations but frustrating. It IS ALLOWED to move the beds! MAIN RESTAIRANT.... disappointing. Food is luke warm at best. Toaster is a joke! It IS a toaster (similar to my one at home) & there you are waiting in line forever just to do your toast! The only plus here is the staff, especially the smiling, happy Sevati who greets you on arrival & arranges the table of your choice. She is potential management if I ever saw it in a youngster & informed Alexis of my request for pitta bread/taramasalta for my b'day lunch which to my delight they made happen. Finally A LA CARTE RESTAURANTS...Italian & Asian. Italian again brilliant service but disappointing food. Six small prawns in the gamberini pasta, 3 pieces of ravioli & the cooked at table lamb chops just fat & bone! Asianna...top of the class! HOT fresh food, g8 menu but order more than just one frm each section. ALL the starters are a must, duck is lovely too(order yr own portion), katsu chkn, prawn with dip fabulous then as a surprise I had my own special b'day cake complete with singing waiters/chefs. Whole experience was overwhelming & attentively supervised by Marriana. I will treasure that night forever. Rose restaurant closed...out of season?? Greek restaurant down beach. Had couple of chilly /rainy nights so didnt book.

We visited at the end of September with some friends and had an outstanding holiday making wonderful memories. We spent the days on the comfortable beach beds and swimming in the crystal clear sea whilst our drinks and meal requirements were hndled extremely professionally by the friendly team who are clearly trained in delivery excellence for customer service. Who ever selects and trains these young staff members is getting it right; there's many a blue chip global corporation that could learn from such staff induction. We felt pampered right from the start of our holidays, it's great to share a joke with such friendly staff, and watch the friendly competition developing as to who can make the best frappe or readily adapt their cocktail making skills to a Baileys, Malibu & Banana (a favourite drink of my wife and our friend). I didn't catch all their names but Diogenes was an absolute star - he will go far in whatever profession he chooses. The beach is kept clean. the hotel gardens simply stunning and the pool is a beautiful photo spot at night (albeit a bit chilly for swimming at this time of year). A wedding party arrived in the latter part of our stay, we got to see the layout just upon our departure and wow it looked fantastic........what a place to start a life together. The a la carte restaurants are very enjoyable with innovative menus, delicious dishes and really top marks for presentation. The buffet restaurant also provides a vast and expansive selection of meals for breakfast lunch and evening service. We loved eating al fresco but unfortunately it rained on one day of our stay and everyone was forced to eat indoors.........that got really busy and could be quite overwhelming for children with ALN, the staff coped as best as they could. The wine list was excellent with a focus on Greek offerings from small producers - we enjoyed this immensely ! Our room had a side sea view, it was on the top floor and is probably due a refresh soon but we had no complaints - it was kept very clean by the hard working maids and the call of the beach and the beach bar ensured our time in our room was minimal.......... One other point to note - the toilet facilities adjacent to the beach (in a separate building behind the kids club) are kept absolutely spotless night and day, well done to whomever has responsibility here. I'm really surprised now we are back and reading recent reviews - those that are critical of this resort certainly don't match our experiences. Are there any opportunities for improvement ? Yes, the rooms are coming up for a time when an upgrade is required, the entertainment is perhaps best described as low key and could do with some improvement.........I don't understand how two young (hard working) members of the entertainment team blasting bland disco music in the lobby bar counts as entertainment and this is not a resort I would personally bring my grandchildren to, there's simply nothing for them to do and more dedicated family resorts are available. All in all great value for money, the experience matches the publicity and we had an unforgettable time with some dear friends. Everyone was so friendly, guests and staff alike. Would we return and do it all again ? In an instant.........

We booked this hotel for 9 nights and it did not disappoint. Room was lovely and we did pay more for a sea view room and it was perfect. From our moment of arrival nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we were kindly shown our room and nice to have our luggage brought up to our room. We did pre-book the A La Carte restaurants, food and drink choices was amazing in all of them. The Rose was our favourite. The buffet restaurant was lovely and we ate in here a few times, great choice of food and fresh salads. Breakfast choices here were lovely. We also booked the experiences that were on offer via the App (which I recommend installing), the Cooking Class, Cocktail Making and Wine Tasting. We highly recommend these especially the Cocktail making with the lovely Alexa Any queries we had answered via WhatsApp were always promptly answered. We had 1 day of heavy rain and I have to say staff were amazing at getting so many people through breakfast without having to wait so long, so big thanks to them we didn't have to wait so long and could carry on with our day The hotel is very convenient for getting to Lindos and Rhodes Old Town, there is a bus stop right outside, although the buses are busy we could get to both. We didn't have too much trouble getting a sun lounger but it was always very busy around the main pool so spent more time on the beach and the new pool We have to mention some of the staff personally who really made our stay enjoyable - Monica at the Lobby Bar, you made our evenings having drinks so nice and enjoyable, you are such a lovely, kind and friendly person, thanks so much to you for always being so kind to us and friendly during our stay. We very much enjoyed chatting to you at the Lobby Bar. We could also see other guests enjoying chatting to you too. The hotel is lucky to have you -Alexa the lovely Sommelier, thank you so much for such an enjoyable Cocktail making class, you have converted us to Negroni's and Campari. Your great recommendations for wine, always topping up our glasses and just your knowledge of wine was a great insight for us, the hotel is lucky to have you too Sorry we didn't get the names of more staff but everyone was so lovely, friendly and hard working All in all a great stay here and thanks to all staff who made this stay so enjoyable

We stayed at Grecotel LUXME Dama Dama as guests with significant mobility limitations, and unfortunately our overall experience was disappointing. I am writing this review in detail because I believe it may be useful to other travellers with similar needs. I should also stress that this reflects our own experience and our own mobility limitations. Guests who can walk comfortably may experience the hotel very differently. The main issue for us was the gap between being “accessible” in theory and being practically easy to use in reality. There are ramps and elevators, but the resort is spread out, some routes involve level changes, and in several areas the accessible route requires a detour. Even within the main lobby area, the reception is on a higher level than the lobby bar, and moving between them requires using a relatively steep ramp. In some places, ramps are available only on one side. This may technically provide an accessible route, but in practice it can force someone with limited mobility to walk a much longer way simply to reach the opposite side. For guests who cannot comfortably walk long distances, that can defeat much of the purpose of the ramp itself. The evening entertainment was one of the biggest practical problems for us. Most of it took place in the theatre, which was relatively far from the main building. For guests with mobility limitations, a reliable internal buggy service would make an enormous difference. In our case, I believe it would have solved a large part of the problem. Suggestions such as using a mobility scooter did not fully solve the issue, because there were still routes, level changes and remaining distances to deal with. Before arrival, we had communicated our mobility limitations in detail. Unfortunately, communication around these needs became more difficult than it should have been, with unnecessary back-and-forth regarding requirements that we felt had already been clearly explained. The arrival experience was also frustrating. The airport transfer arrangements did not work as expected, unsuitable vehicles were initially sent, and we ended up waiting in the heat while the situation was being sorted out. For an able-bodied guest this may sound like a minor inconvenience. For guests with mobility limitations, it is much more significant. When arrangements are discussed and confirmed in advance, you naturally rely on them. After reaching the hotel, we then had to wait for our room to become available. Following the difficult arrival, this added to the frustration. There were also examples where the information provided before arrival did not match reality. One example concerned the TV. We were told that screen mirroring was not available and that connecting a streaming device would not be possible. In practice, we later discovered that screen mirroring was in fact possible. That was obviously a positive surprise, but it also highlighted a broader concern: some of the information given before arrival did not seem to be based on a full practical understanding of how the hotel’s own facilities actually work. On the positive side, most of the restaurants were located within or around the main building, which made them much more convenient for us, and the food in the restaurants was generally quite good. The atmosphere in the hotel, particularly around the lobby and main common areas, felt rather subdued and lacking in energy to us. This is of course subjective and may suit guests looking for a very quiet environment. One reason for this, in our view, was that there was little or no entertainment activity in the lobby area itself. Most evening entertainment was concentrated in the distant theatre. For guests with mobility limitations, this created an unfortunate combination: the livelier part of the evening was also the least convenient part of the resort to reach. Another disappointment was the general handling of problems. There were individual staff members who were pleasant and tried to help, but overall we often felt that too much responsibility for making the stay workable remained with us. We repeatedly had to explain our limitations, raise issues and look for solutions ourselves, despite having communicated our needs before arrival. Problems can happen in any hotel. What matters is how they are handled once they become clear. Our frustration was not simply that some things went wrong, but that we had put a lot of effort into preventing exactly these situations before we travelled. There was also an incident on departure day that we found particularly uncomfortable. While we were away from the room, our luggage was removed from the room without us being informed beforehand. We only became aware of this later in connection with the checkout process. Whatever the hotel’s internal procedure may be, we believe guests should be informed before staff enter an unoccupied room and remove their personal luggage. We found this inappropriate and unsettling. For travellers with mobility limitations, my strongest advice is not to rely only on the word “accessible”. Before booking, ask the hotel for very specific information: exact or approximate room location; distance in metres to the main restaurant; distance to other restaurants; distance to the theatre and evening entertainment; whether the entire route is level; where the ramps and elevators are; whether ramps require detours; whether reliable internal buggy transport is actually available; and how far you still need to walk after any assisted transport drops you off. Also, if a particular room location or transportation arrangement is essential to your stay, make sure you understand whether the hotel is truly confirming it or merely recording it as a preference. For us, the combination of difficult mobility, inaccurate or incomplete pre-arrival information, the lack of an effective internal transport solution, and the amount of effort required to manage basic parts of the stay made the holiday much less relaxing than expected. This is not a hotel I would describe as completely inaccessible. A more accurate description, from our perspective, is that it is technically accessible but not always practically convenient for guests with significant walking limitations. I hope this review helps other travellers ask the right questions before booking, because when mobility is limited, the difference between “there is a ramp” and “I can comfortably get where I need to go” can be enormous.
