Ialyssos Bay

First time to Rhodes, because of this hotel i will 100% come back and stay again! 20min drive from the Airport, the hotel was always spotless!!. The staff were fantastic always happy to help, i need to mention the Reception staff were the nicest staff we have ever spoke to on holiday!! Pool cleaned every night. Pool/pool bar times 10am-6pm cleaned every night, we went in peak July there was always an available sunbed! The food was always a great standard, drinks on all inclusive were good aswell. Entertainment wasnt great in my honest opinion, but the band during the pool daytime were fab! There is a handy shop for souvenirs/food/juice/tourist bits in the hotel, plenty for kids to do in the hotel, onsite beach approx 100m from the front of hotel with a charming wee cocktail bar with fab views! Smoking only areas with seating provided around hotel so dont get caught out! More restaurants/shops approx 15 mins down the lane beside the beach. Hotel has a qr code for shuttle/taxi service. We were about €9 return pp to go to old rhodes town about 25 mins in total well worth it! Hotel was quiet from 11pm which suited us, some reviews mentioned about plane noise, it hoenstly wasnt that bad i enjoyed watching all the different planes! We stayed in twin garden room, just off of main hotel not far walk! Rooms fully A/C clean, beds were comfortable and i was glad to see pillow and mattress protectors! This hotel was one of the best ive stayed at, well worth 4****!!!

I would like to give a special thank you to Mary, the fitness trainer at Ilyassos Bay. Mary is truly fantastic and one of the hotel’s greatest assets. She has an amazing ability to motivate people to exercise while making every session fun, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of fitness level. Her positive energy, enthusiasm, and genuine care create a wonderful atmosphere that encourages guests to join in. She is also wonderful with children, organizing fun activities that keep them engaged and smiling throughout the day. It’s clear that she puts her heart into everything she does. People like Mary make a real difference to the guest experience. She is a key part of what makes Ilyassos Bay such a special place, and she deserves to be recognized for her outstanding work. I booked just a couple of weeks beforehand and stayed for 1 week mid September 2025. Although we were apprehensive on arrival, the next day we realised we’d made the right choice. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were polite/friendly. Room was fine, views were great. The pool was clean. The children weren’t dive-bombing everywhere. And no nonsensical towel game as we always found beds after breakfast or whatever time of day we got there. The tourists that we spoke with were very friendly, with so many repeaters. The food was really good. Much more so than I thought it would be. I’ve only previously gone A/I in the Caribbean, as I like to eat out much more when I’m in Europe. I thought well if the foods no good we can go out for lunch and dinner. There really was no need. In truth, breakfast for both of us wasn’t great. My husband ate at the snack bar for lunch. Often his choices weren’t hot at all. I didn’t want cold chips so I went to the restaurant every day for my lunch. The food was amazing. Beef in red wine sauce, pork tenderloin in a creamy sauce, fresh fish with or without sauces, plain rice, mushroom or vegetable pilaf, roasted/mashed potatoes, vegetables, salads, pasta, fruit crumbles, desserts, absolutely everything. Dinner was the same, as in a good choice of food but with more desserts and cakes. I didn’t see the same foods popping up over and over. Wine and beer on tap to help yourself. It really was a great set-up. Did we eat out? Yes, we ate in Semis a few times, and also had drinks/cocktails in Patty’s. I love Greece. Rhodes was my 1st holiday in 1987 and every few years I try and get back. P.s. I didn’t experience any racism towards myself from anyone at that hotel (tourist or staff) but that was my experience. We have just returned from the most wonderful stay, and I honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough. Myself and my two friends had the most fantastic, relaxing holiday from start to finish. The hotel was spotless, the food was absolutely amazing, and every member of staff was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I especially want to give a huge shout-out to Stefanos. One of my friends was on crutches during our stay, and Stefanos, along with the rest of the hotel team, simply couldn’t have done any more for us. They were always there to help, reserved tables for us, made sure we were comfortable, and went above and beyond to make our holiday as easy and enjoyable as possible. Their kindness and genuine care meant so much to us. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special. We made some wonderful memories, had so many laughs, and left feeling completely relaxed. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes!

I travelled her with my son in July, we came here 13 years ago and something drew me back and I wasn’t disappointed. On arriving check in was fast. we were given a room with a sea view, clean and tidy, offered soup as we arrived late which was lovely. Food was amazing great selection every time, however the pizza is beautiful. There is always something for someone. We enjoy Greek food so here was amazing for us, snack bar was different daily and also had a good selection. Drink was great, and you can get water and coffee from the machines around the hotel. Pool are is clean and tidy, lots of sunbeds. I also saw the team bring out more sunbeds as the hotel got busier, my only complaint is there was not enough umbrella. Evening entertainment was good too, and sitting out near the bar area having a drink was lovely. All the staff were polite and friendly. We got locked out our room and this was fixed in about 10 mins, one of the ladies at reception came and spoke to us and said she noticed we’d been there before which was lovely. All in all this is a great hotel lovely staff and is clean and tidy. Please don’t believe all you read! And on a personal note we did not feel this hotel was racist, my son is mixed race and was treated the same as every other guest.
