Ialyssos Bay

We booked 4 Star all inclusive with Tui I have read other reviews on this hotel and I'm utterly shocked Hotel is not four star.. 3 at best No water in fridge when we arrived after midnight. Kettle but no tea making facilities You have to pay £40 for the safe per week If you want a towel it's £2 Tennis will cost you £10 On our first 2 nights there was 1 person on the only bar at night.. lengthy queue ..... all night. How did the hotel think that 1 man could serve 500+ guests in an all inclusive resort No way near enough storage in the room There are rules everywhere... no vapes around the pool and if you got caught vaping in your room it was a £250 fine, even on the outside balcony. Pool didn't open until 10am and closed promptly at 6pm. The pool attendants were telling everyone off for very minor issues.. like laughing and having a good time. No drinking near the pool. A couple got told off for having there child in the large pool .... both parents were there - the lifeguard completely over reacted. Entertainment was poor... the best night was when someone was playing tunes in the outside bar. Breakfast was well below par.. fried eggs (which would be a staple in any 4 star hotel) were only on 3 days. No courtesy room.. they offered us our room for £80 - so we showered at the pool instead. Everyone around the was complaining saying it was an outrage. When we complained they told us that it isn't on there website so I shouldn't have assumed (again this is meant to be 4 star all inclusive) How many people check a website for a hotel to check that level of detail. The manager also preceded to tell me that hotels in England don't have a courtesy room.. I tried to explain the huge difference from a sun holiday on a Greek Island and staying in a town in England but at that point I completely gave up... Would never stay here again - even if you paid me AVOID AT ALL COSTS

First impression not great arrived to a cloud of smoke at the lobby entrance and once through the revolving doors could still smell the smoke Guys on reception at check in so miserable it beggars belief Slapped a bracelet on us charged €96 for tax and and never cracked a smile even though I tried to have a joke with them They clearly didn’t want to be there So not a great start Went for breakfast first morning and was very disappointed Fried eggs every other day WHY!! It’s a staple for breakfast Overcooked bacon that couldn’t be cut with a knife let alone chewed Other things often cold Went again at lunch and every type of meat was dry and overcooked not good and only luke warm at best Consequently we didn’t attempt the dinner in the evening opting to eat out at the amazing restaurant in the area The drinks are so poor On the plus side you never saw anyone drunk as it would be impossible with the minimal alcohol content This hotel has to be the poorest all inclusive hotel I have ever been to They have so many rules you feel like your at a prison camp and there are cameras everywhere watching your every move This may be a safety issue but makes you feel like you are being watched so you don’t do anything wrong Finally and again I can only assume if’s a safety issue but when it is 30 degrees by 9am I find it rather odd that you can’t go in the pool It doesn’t open until 10am by which time it is so hot everyone gets in at the same time and it’s not really big enough for the amount of guests Would I go again NOT IF IT WAS FREE!!!!

We're just concluding our fourth visit to this wonderful resort on the beautiful island of Rhodes. I really can't recommend this place enough. It's a great location, being only a 2 minute walk from the beach, and 10 minutes walk from the village of Ialyssos. There are also plenty of transport options, from vehicle rental to E-Scooters for getting around quickly. The rooms are always spotless, and the staff are some of the most warm, welcoming and genuinely hospitable people. I have a deep affinity for the Greek people as a whole - some of the most wonderful people you could ever hope to meet. Food and drink selection is amazing - even the fussiest of eaters will find something to like. Entertainment is decent too - a good variety from magic acts to rock bands. Not everything was for me, but there's plenty to do in the area if you don't fancy staying in on any particular night. I'm already planning for visit 5!

Firstly I don’t know who Angela is All I know is that she is the person that responds to all reviews and I also know she cannot accept anything negative being said In business Angela you have to sometimes take. Criticism in order to improve So let me begin my review The hotel is exceptionally clean and The staff are super friendly Angela will proceed to thank me for saying this I was quite excited to come to this all inclusive hotel as most of the reviews about the food were good However in order for food to be good it also needs to be a decent temperature and unfortunately it was often cold This hotel has the worst breakfast ever Fried eggs every other day bacon so overcooked you can’t eat it and all the hot food is cold And don’t get me started on the pool snack bar !! Angela will have an excuse for this The plates and glasses smelt really badly of a dirty dishwasher The drinks were shocking Hardly any alcohol in the cocktails they were all really sweet and weak The beer was palatable however around the pool it is served in children’s coloured beakers I understand perfectly well Angela that glass cannot be used round the pool but why not use the clear plastic ones ? The bar in the evening had one staff member working for the 2 weeks we were there and on our last night we gave up in the queue and went to a cocktail bar on the beach There were 36 people in the queue it was shocking every night Angela will try to tell you that there is often 2-3 behind the bar but that is rubbish there never was The grassed sunbathing area is awful it smell so bad of cat urine it make you gag and the cat poo is everywhere Angela will blame the guests for this as in previous review responses she has said they are stray cats and the guests shouldn’t feed them One day around the pool someone stood it cat poo and walked it on to the non slip mats around the pool they then Proceeded to clean their shoe in the pool I told a member staff who fetched a dustpan and brush and cleaned it up So I ask you Angela why the hotel doesn’t impose a €250 euro cleaning fee like they do the smokers? This brings me to the smoking problem. In the room there is a sticker on the door stating no smoking in the room or balcony and anyone that does this will have to pay a €250 cleaning fee Angela mentioned previously that the balcony is an extension of your room But you are wrong about that Angela it only becomes an extension if you have the door open, otherwise it is an outside space Smokers throughout the world have been banished to hidden away area I am married to a non smoker so have the utmost respect for people that don’t smoke This hotel has enough rooms to give a section to the smokers far enough away from non smokers there are rooms with garden views that are away from the main hotel that could be used so that smokers can use the balcony Angela will go on to say that the hotel is proud of its no smoking policy So why is it then Angela when booking this hotel it doesn’t say anywhere in the description that this is a non smoking hotel? Granted you have one area in the evening right outside the reception which is away from the bar and entertainment And on several occasions heard non smokers saying how bad the first impression was The owners of the hotel are clearly prejudice against smokers and vapers and I am sure many people will rejoice in this and that is fine If you want a completely smoke free environment then you need to let people know before they give hundreds of pounds to you We live in a world where we have the freedom to make choices and if I want to smoke then that is up to me I don’t appreciate being treat like a school child So come on Angela do your best and make your excuses for everything I have said 🤣🤣

Lovely hotel, all the staff where really nice and helpful and particular note should go to the restaurant manager who helped flawlessly with complicated allergies in our group and what always so welcoming. Would recommend.
