Leonardo Kolymbia Resort

We stayed at the Leonardo Kolymbia Resort in October for a week’s all-inclusive holiday and, despite experiencing some truly extraordinary weather, would happily give this hotel five stars. The hotel is lovely, with a great pool area, a relaxed atmosphere and an excellent choice of food. There was always plenty of variety, and we never struggled to find something we enjoyed. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately, during our stay, Rhodes experienced severe storms and flooding, which caused significant disruption, including our room becoming unusable. What really impressed us was how the hotel staff responded. Even while dealing with an extremely challenging situation, they remained friendly, reassuring and focused on everyone’s safety. They recognised that guests needed somewhere safe to stay and encouraged us to remain where we were rather than venture out in the dangerous conditions. When we needed alternative accommodation overnight, it was the hotel team who arranged somewhere for us to sleep. Although the situation was far from ideal, we appreciated everything they did to look after us. The weather was completely beyond anyone’s control, and I don’t believe a hotel should be judged on an exceptional event like this. What matters is how people respond when things go wrong, and the team at Leonardo demonstrated genuine care and commitment to their guests. Once the sunshine returned, we were delighted to enjoy the pool and the remainder of our holiday. A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard throughout our stay. You deserve enormous credit, and we would happily return. Hopefully next time with a little more sunshine and considerably less adventure! ☀️

We have just returned from our second stay at Leonardo Resort, and it was even more wonderful than the first. Check in was fantastic where we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine. We stayed in and Executive Pool view room in the new building. The room was immaculately clean, spacious and had lots of great extra amenities. The hotel arranged a wonderful birthday cake for my fiance, this was such a special touch. The pool area remains lovely, clean with comfortable sun loungers. Service at the pool bar/cafe was fantastic, with a good selection of drinks, snacks and lunch items. Food and service in the restaurants was equally as good, with great, plentiful selections available. I always maintain this hotel offers the best breakfast selections in all the locations we have stayed. During our stay there was a bad storm. However the hotel remained fully operational despite this, with staff going above and beyond in very exceptional circumstances. The staff at the Leonardo are truly a credit to the hotel. Everyone is so attentive, friendly, happy and nothing is too much trouble. It was lovely to be genuinely recognised by so many of them from our previous visit. We will be returning again next year for another memorable stay. Luke.

The hotel was nice overall, but unfortunately, the food was very disappointing and definitely not what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. The food was probably the biggest downside of our stay. Everything else was fine, but the food really needs to improve to meet 5-star standards.

What a lovely week we had at the Leonardo. Wonderful staff and great food. The restaurant staff were especially wonderful. Always cheerful and happy to help with our reminiscence of previous trips to Rhodes! Pool is chilly but that did mean it wasn’t overly crowded 😆 so we enjoyed a few dips. Located very close to a lovely beach.

We arrived to this magical place, where should I start? The staff? Wow! The beautiful mountains? Wow! A thunderstorm tried to destroy our holidays but the staff didn’t let that happened! Everyone made sure we are safe and that we are having a nice time. The next day came and everything was back to normal like nothing happened and all these because of the staff! We had also a spa treatment and the sweet manager Nefeli gave us free access to sauna and steam room. They pumpered us to the fullest and I haven’t felt more relaxed in my life. Lili gave me the best massage. Again a big thank you to all the staff members and I will see you next year!
