Leonardo Kolymbia Resort

I’ve lost count as to how many times we have stayed at the Leonardo Kolymbia Beach, a truly special place with extraordinary people who have become like family to us! As a single parent it tough finding a place to totally relax and know whatever happens you will be looked after and everyone goes above and beyond to keep you safe and provide anything you could require. The food is plentiful, the drinks are always following and both are served with genuine smiles. Each member of staff welcomes you like it was their own home you are staying. There are too many special people to mention but I must mention the management team led by Elena, Manolis, Panormitis and Maria certainly know what it takes to motivate a team who ALWAYS go the extra mile. Thank you for EVERYTHING as always.

We arrived as a family of 5 late at night and the first greeting was so welcoming. A man whose name I didn’t catch came rushing out to help with luggage and gave us cold flannels and drinks whilst checking in. Check in was smooth and easy and was shown to our rooms and shown where everything was and how the aircon worked etc. Our rooms were lovely and modern with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. We had lovely garden views with the mountains and sea in the distance. Food was ok, what we had was nice but I expected better been 5 star. The food was not always hot. The bread rolls didn’t taste fresh and it was the same pizza everyday which tasted frozen not fresh. There was enough choice as it can’t be an easy task catering for so many different nationalities. Pool bar snacks seemed ok but we always went to the dining room for lunch. There is nothing to eat after the buffet closes, maybe a late night gyros station would be a good addition. We had booked the a la carts but unfortunately had to cancel the Italian due to my husband and Son been unwell so can’t really comment on that but we did manage the steak house but it was nothing special if I’m honest they got our orders all wrong and it just didn’t feel special sat at the pool bar. The entertainment was ok. We really enjoyed the Greek night, the dancers were amazing and tried to get as many people up dancing as they could. On two separate nights they was a quiz and Bingo which were advertised but never happened. The other shows we watched were mediocre and seemed to have sound issues. Animation team made you feel welcome and informed you of the activities. I would like to specifically mention Hamza who would always come for a chat and ask how our days were going…he seemed quite shy compared to Rio but he is a lovely polite young man who I understand is quite new to the team but he was always playing water polo with the kids and all the kids in the hotel seemed to enjoy his company. I even saw the poor lad trying to have his dinner one evening and some children had gone to sit with him but he didn’t seem to mind. Also a big thankyou to the lady that cleaned our rooms. I don’t catch her name but we were rooms 301 and 302 and when my son and husband were unwell we obviously couldn’t let her come in to our rooms to clean but she still made sure we had clean towels, water and toilet rolls. The hotel sun beds on the beach are not very nice, they are really tatty looking so we just purchased the nicer ones from the beach bar. What makes this a nice hotel is the staff. Everyone is so hard working and the hotel in itself is beautiful and immaculately clean and the grounds are beautiful. Location is perfect. As a family we did enjoy our stay and would consider returning if we did come back to kolymbia

★★★★★ An absolutely wonderful experience! From the very first moment, you can feel the warmth and genuine hospitality of the place. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind and always willing to help with a smile and the best attitude. The cleanliness was impeccable throughout the entire property which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was of excellent quality and the buffet offered a huge variety of choices including delicious traditional Greek dishes as well as classic options to suit everyone’s taste. The swimming pool was spotless and the whole property was beautifully maintained What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. Everything makes you feel comfortable and at home, allowing you to relax and unwind almost immediately. Overall, a truly lovely experience with wonderful hospitality, excellent food and a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely come back without hesitation ❤️

We were 2 families with kids so 9 people in total -> The hotel is super family friendly. Hotel staff was exceptional. Whatever we needed, they provided including tour information, extra this and extra that. The cleaning ladies especially those in the restaurants were exceptional also. During an all-inclusive stay, you tend to take more food than you eat which means more plates and more mess but they served us with nothing by smiles and positive energy. Special shout out to Rio (hotel animator) is the pumping heart of the hotel. Without him the hotel stay and overall experience would have been different. He made us laugh, got us invovled in the various pool activities, kids club and evening entertainment including dancing, singing and just having a good time. Thank you Rio and thank you Leonardo! The only negative was when my daughter was sick due to an uncooked chicken nugget. We raised to the hotel reception and they immediately apologised and fixed for us by re-cooking us another meal.
