Lindos Royal

Nice stay and we especially loved the interaction with Nikos, every morning, at the Pool Bar!

No way is this hotel 5 star. I'd say 3 star at best. Location is good with short bus ride to Lindos town. Busy around the pool with difficulty finding sun loungers and queues for drinks. Free drinks are poor quality, cocktails are all made from a premix. Soft drinks have been flat all week. Lots of staff to clear up rubbish and empty drinks that people leave which is good. Food in the canteen is good. But again not 5 star. Double bed is 2 singles pushed together. It's a very big hotel so lots of time spent waiting for lifts. Our room was for 3 people but only had 2 chairs. Room cleanliness was good. Private beach had a constant flow of murky water running down from the hotel which kept us away. Still got covid signs up all over the hotel. How many years ago was that and why wouldn't they have been removed yet? All in all I wouldn't have minded the numerous issues if this hotel wasn't sold to me as 5 star because it definitely isnt. Wouldn't return.

We had a really lovely stay at the hotel. The beach was beautiful and the water was absolutely phenomenal - definitely one of the best parts of the trip! The à la carte restaurant was another highlight. Our server, Alex, was fantastic - so friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our evening special. We also want to mention the gentleman who helped us with our bags, who was incredibly kind and helpful. Overall, the hotel was good. There is some wear and tear that could use a little attention, but it didn’t overshadow the positive experience we had.

Very disappointed, pictures are misleading. Need of upkeep around poolside and gardens. place is rammed with sun loungers already taken by 7am , upkeep through day is poor with food left on floor by kids and not swept up, big puddles on walkway to pool bar with floating bits of food. Our room is lovely with sea view however family members with room with pool, paint peeling, around pool and fence, grass is long, ants everywhere even in room. Smell of drains strong. Soft drinks is not brand, it's cheap softdrink and cocktails poor. Beer is okay. Food is awful, like a zoo in there where you have to queue for drinks, no self service for drinks or coffee meaning long queues at bar. Only plus point of this place is the reception and decor there looks lovely and then you get into the place and realize it misleading. To book into the restaurants they told us checking in, book day prior. Today we told 3 days notice however can't book us in even in 4-5 days time. Some staff are rude. Very disappointed in the place. Sat writing a review currently in poolside bar where you have lovely backdrop of stubbed fags littered in the alcove by the tables. Cleanliness is lacking here. Nothing royal about this place.

Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, and overall, I would say that the hotel met our expectations for the price we paid. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. We also really appreciated that, for a limited number of dinners, we had the option to switch to the à la carte restaurants without any additional payment. The staff were truly lovely and made a big difference to our experience. I would especially like to highlight Alex, one of the waiters. He has such a warm, genuine, and welcoming personality that it was always a pleasure to see him. His positive energy and kindness made our stay more pleasant. The only small issue we experienced was with ants getting into the room. However, given the local surroundings and nature, I think this is quite understandable and probably difficult to avoid completely. The location is also worth mentioning. The hotel is quite a drive from Rhodes Town, but it is only around 10 minutes from Lindos. The beach directly by the hotel has pebbles. The sea itself is absolutely gorgeous — crystal clear. There is also a boat rental right next to the hotel, and taking a boat turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire stay. We had an amazing time exploring the coastline and discovered some incredible swimming spots.
