Lindos Royal

We have just returned from an amazing stay at the Lindos Royal Resort. Having read some of the reviews prior to our holiday I have to say I was a little apprehensive but having experienced all that this lovely resort has to offer I really feel that many of these reviews are somewhat unfair. We travelled with our adult children and had rooms situated in the main building with views over the swimming pool. We arrived very late in the evening and were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant had remained open so that we could have some food. On our first morning I was impressed at how hard all of the staff worked keeping and maintaining the pool and bar areas clean. All of the staff, including bar, restaurant and reception were very friendly and polite. The buffet restaurant provided a wide variety of food for even the fussiest of eaters including Greek, Asian and seafood choices as well as pizza and pasta. We loved the Thematic restaurants and were incredibly grateful to the staff for offering alternative choices for our daughter who has an egg allergy, pointing out the dishes she was able to have and offering to provide variations to the other dishes. The choice of all inclusive drinks is extensive, particularly in comparison to other all inclusive resorts we have stayed in. For us the most positive thing was that we did not need to get up at the crack of dawn to secure a sun bed. There are plenty available and this was the case throughout the day. Perhaps the only disappointing thing was that the pools were so cold but the short walk down to the private bay and the sea made up for that.

We spent one week at Lindos Royal Resort with family in August 2026, and had a really enjoyable stay. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, with several swimming pools, plenty of greenery, beautiful sea views and direct access to the beach. The location is great, especially if you want to visit Lindos and explore the island while still having a relaxing place to come back to. We particularly appreciated the friendly and helpful staff and the family-friendly atmosphere. There was always something to do, but it was also easy to simply relax by the pool, enjoy the sea and spend quality time together. The resort is a good choice for a family summer holiday in Rhodes. We really enjoyed our week and came home with lots of lovely memories. Thank you to the Lindos Royal team for a wonderful stay!

On their website the place looks amazing but in reality after spending a week there we can confirm that the resort is in dire need of repairs. Check in was smooth & the reception area was reasonable. After being driven to our Seaview double deluxe room excited for our stay we walked in to a room that turned out to be run down & smelling of sewerage. Then we walked out on to our balcony expecting Seaviews but was greeted by a big fat tree blocking 80% of the view, not happy. After confronting reception they informed us that we had been upgraded for free and offered us to down grade our room to one with view out over the road & main entrance, how kind. After refusing the down grade they offered to cut the tree down within the next two days so we decided to stay in the smelly room without the view that we paid extra for thinking it would be taken care of, wrong. The tree is still there and didn't get what we booked & paid for. All inclusive, well not exactly. The lobby bar you pay extra for and their themed restaurants they charge you thru the roof for the "local wines" and also charge for water.. At the other two bars you are served a range of cocktails & long drinks all made on locally produced spirits that taste nothing like the real drink and are not worth drinking. The wine served is also local, poured from a tap, watered down and tastes more like a sour cordial then a nice wine. At the pool bar you are met with frowns from uninterested staff, can order max 2 drinks at a time and if it starts raining you have no cover and therefore have to leave to find cover. At the Calypso bar you are met with the stench of sewerage so strong we couldn't stay in there long enough to order a drink, absolutely putred 😷 In the main restaurant you are greeted by mafia looking managers that don't seem to do much more then boss the floor staff waiters/waitresses around and as far as the food goes it was always cold and pretty much the same thing everyday and unsatisfactory for a 5☆ resort. The only thing worth eating was the freshly baked pizzas. For families with kids wanting to use the playground that looks like it has been out of use for 20yrs you are greeted by respectless cigarette smoking staff that don't seem to care that kids are present. Overall, even though we made a nice time of a dismal resort I highly recomend looking elsewhere if you are wanting more for your money. Lindos Royal Resort stinks sewerage and not worth wasting your money on, sad but true.

An honest review for a family of 3 Upon arrival the hotel has a beautiful reception and welcoming atmosphere check in was easy and helpful You can hire beach towel for €10 each which is refunded at the end of your stay. We upgraded for a swim up room which was lovely the rooms are very clean with water, a kettle and shampoo and soap provided. The swim up pools are cold no matter which one you are at, we spoke to a few people in other rooms. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner was one of the best we’ve had at an all inclusive, a lot of choice with lots of fresh options. The only thing that let it down is you have to queue to get drinks which is sometimes 10 people deep and not ideal with a baby. We booked the Greek al a carte but the menu was very basic and is the same as what you get at the buffet, you also have to pay for drinks! Which i find ridiculous as you pay for all inclusive so we opted to not to go. The pool areas are compact thankfully we went at a quieter time so we had lots of options but I can imagine at peak times this would be awful. Hotel surroundings and walk ways are not well maintained a lot of missing tiles and marks on the walls and the pool with the slides is constantly leaking down the path which made it slippy, this needs some TLC. The beach is a short walk down the hill and is lovely it’s a pebble beach but we found this to be quiet and more relaxing. There is a beach bar but this is not owned by the hotel and a beer is €6 and toilets are €1. I went to the spa which is basic and had a massage lovely massage but the room was cold. We went out for dinner 3 nights as we wanted to explore, Lindos is beautiful but very busy and a lot of steps as to be expected I would recommend going early or after 5pm. A taxi can be booked from reception and is €15 one way. We went to Pfkos twice for dinner and watch the sunset I would 100% recommend it’s flatter with a lot of bars and restaurants and is €20 euros one way in a taxi. Overall I would say this hotel is a 3 star hotel with some lovely views. Do not book this thinking you will get a 5 star hotel I personally would not return as we’ve done it now but ideal if you want to see the south side of Rhodes.

​At first glance, the hotel looks nice and clean, but look a bit closer and you’ll notice peeling paint, broken fixtures, and sloppy cover-up job repairs everywhere. ​Our stay got off to a bad start. When we first walked into our room, the beds were completely unmade. Front desk sorted it out after I complained, but that shouldn't happen at a hotel claiming to be 5 stars. ​The service at reception was severely lacking and some of the staff were down-right rude. We arrived around 1:00 AM, exhausted and starving after a tough journey. The woman at reception didn't offer us any food or information. We only found out the restaurant was still serving late-night food because other guests mentioned it to us on their way back! ​We were a group of six and had booked our rooms around the same time, requesting to be placed near each other. Reception claimed they had no adjacent rooms available and scattered us across different floors/wings—even though we noticed several empty rooms nearby throughout our stay. ​Room issues didn't end there: ​Air Conditioning: The AC was broken on our first day. Because it was boiling hot, I asked to be moved to another room, but was told none were available. They fixed the AC the next day, but it only blew cold air. On cooler nights, there was no way to heat the room, and we had to rely on extra blankets. ​Dining & Food: Cleanliness in the dining area was poor. Staff don't offer table service—you have to hunt down your own water and cutlery. As for the food: mostly boring, dry, and overcooked, though a few dishes were decent. ​Overall, this is a maximum 3-star experience disguised as a 5-star hotel. Uncomfortable stay and poor service—I wouldn't recommend it.
