Lindos view Returning guests our 3rd visit again for a fortnight. Though We have been coming to Lindos for decades. The hotels name is spot on, the Lindos acropolis is seen from most parts of the complex, in particular the first floor restaurant. Lindos village and beaches are in a valley between the hotel, and the acropolis. So hence terrific views. To the beaches or village it’s downhill, by different routes, most people go left out of the hotel, via Krana area, bus, coach station and downhill, this is a busy road, even without coaches, etc. A bus shuttle runs from Krana, 9am-5pm, 50c pp, one way to main square, or back, there are also taxis or electric golf carts. Vehicles are more important when coming back and up the hill. Another route is going right out of the hotel, towards St Paul’s Bay Area, and turn into Lindos at the car park, Atmosphere bar. This route has one difficult crossing of the road. There are other routes directly down in-between by narrow lanes. As many reviews cover the complex is kept meticulously clean. The staff working hard to keep your room, the paths, gardens, and main building perfectly clean. They are often out from early morning cleaning everything and each sun-bed. Every single staff member will great you, “good morning” or “kalimera”, a smile, eye contact etc, and take interest in you. Checkin was easy and efficient, we were shown to our room, advised re breakfast, dinner, theme nights, Greek night typically Mondays ( ours moved to Tuesday); and Karaoke, Thursdays. Our room, which we have had twice before, has had a new patio double glazed opening window installed. The last one was fine bar the lock was worn with use, and some reviews people commented. This shows management listen, read comments and act. Visually it appears a number of rooms had new quality glazed windows. A good spread at breakfast, and if you book it, dinner, which has now had ice cream added to it. A rotation of foods and always a choice, hot, and salads, and fruit. At the meals, the used plates are cleared in seconds, Thomas, Katerina, and the supporting staff such as Contessa, Juby, work hard, and always so polite. They learn your preferences such as drinks quickly. They are there at breakfast lunch and dinner and at the bar. I read a recent review re lunch, and must agree the lunch menu remains “limited” it’s good, and you can sit at the bar area, or order by QR code to your bed location. Lunch menu needs a “special” each day, it has Burgers, Greek salads, wraps, Gyros, pizza pasta, and a Greek dip mix plate, but maybe add Tzatziki, on its own, or a chicken kebab Souvlaki, ( they serve one at dinner occasionally); a baguette, filled bread rolls etc. A special may mix it up. Bar service is always attentive, run by Denis, the prices reasonable for a hotel, always prompt and again know your preferences. The sunbeds plentiful and various options at the main family pool and adult quiet pool. We found this time the Chlorine levels were very high to previous years. As mentioned you can now order food and drinks by your device using a QR code at each sunbed location. Good pool towels are in your room on arrival. There are signs for no smoking, not always adhered to, say on Greek night when you eat dinner at the bar, (with the dancing show), and karaoke nights, a reminder of no smoking at dinner as children are there eating or watching. Maybe as there are two main outdoor sides, one is designated non smoking. Interesting the smoke trays were removed for these dinners but a couple of people found a tray and started smoking near young children and toddlers. It is in the open air, but the smoke can travel. It’s always respected in the restaurant on the first floor, it’s just the theme nights). Greek smoking rules allow for outdoor smoking, but provisos on children. Tourist supermarkets like Flora are 5 minutes away, or in the village, the big supermarket Sklavenitis is out of town towards Kalathos. We had some rain one day, but overall it was decent weather.
We stayed at Lindos View for a week. We had x 2 rooms - both were spacious and our rooms had an amazing view of the Acropolis. We enjoyed our holiday thoroughly and were very sad to leave the Lindos View Hotel - we had an amazing time! Everything was lovely, the room size was great and the hotel was very well run and staff members are the friendliest you can meet, so nice and helpful too. After a day or or so they even knew your room number as you entered the resauatant. The room cleaning is all very organised too. We heard no noise from our room all nice and peaceful. Nice balcony too. No rush or stress around pool area either there was plenty of room and availability whatever time of day. We have been to Rhodes a number of times and this hotel was the best for us! Separately we had a hire car x2 days one from Marathon and one from Rodos Cars. Both very efficient easy to book and dropped off right near the hotel. The hotel is a short walk from the hill leading down to Lindos - the hill is steep and can get busy with pedestrians. A tip is get a buggy back up from the Square if you don’t fancy a walk back just €5 euro a trip (2-3 people) - at the hotel in minutes and a fun ride up! To sum up - we loved the Lindos View and wouldn’t hesitate to go again - the rooms, the pools everything - particularly the team they are so friendly, kind, attentive and efficient - exceptional really!
Thankyou to all the lovely staff, for a wonderful stay. I felt welcomed from the minute I arrived. It was my first trip as a solo traveller, so was quite apprehensive. I’d spent 5 days previously in Rhodes town, and didn’t have the best experience, but the stay here was quite the opposite. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean. Great location. Both pools were fantastic , and a great choice of food and drinks. Mike and Doris at reception were so helpful, and Mike answered all my daily questions with a smile 🤣 I look forward to returning next year for longer. Thankyou again to all of you. 🥰
Myself and husband had a lovely stay at Lindos View Hotel with my parents in-law. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and they really went above and beyond to look after us. My parents in-law experienced a 'few issues' during their stay, but the staff were always attentive and went out of their way to resolve everything quickly and kindly. My in-laws really appreciated all their help, and so did we. A huge thank you to Melanie who was the first person we met and reassured my 'parents' immediately, also to Doris, Joy, Joanna... I'm sorry I cannot remember all the names but all the team were wonderful! We will definitely return!
Second time staying in the hotel and definitely won't be last! Great location, beautiful rooms and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Already looking to book for next year 😊
