Nirvana Beach

We stayed for two weeks from 30th September This was our 2nd visit to this hotel We had a superior sea view room on the ground floor The rooms and hotel were kept immaculate and cleaned every day Which is much more than when we have stayed in a 5* hotel before The room and bed was very comfortable and the views of the sea wonderful The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport so inevitably there is some aircraft noise but the hotel has a very tranquil feel about it I don’t have any allergies but I’m not keen on Pork, I’m pleased to say this wasn’t a problem as once I had mentioned this to the wonderful restaurant staff I was given a freshly cooked alternative . Thank you to the chef and all the kitchen staff The pool and surroundings were also kept spotlessly clean and also when we ventured out early we could see the cleaning staff sweeping the driveway and the pool man cleaning also We did hire a car when we stayed and this was done very easily through the hotel who had a price list for various vehicles at competitive prices The car was dropped off at the hotel and when we’d finished we simply dropped the keys at reception All in all a fabulous relaxing and enjoyable holiday Thank you to all the staff that made it possible. We have now been back 5 days and we are so missing our beautiful holiday at the Nirvana Beach Hotel . Our 2nd year there . The Hotel is a beautiful small quiet relaxing place to go to . We stayed in a lovely superior room on the ground floor with out standing stunning views out towards the beach & beautiful sea , the rooms are kept absolutely spotless by the two beautiful cleaning ladies fresh bedding and spotlessly clean towels every day , in fact the whole hotel was spotless. You could even see into the kitchen from the reception area which is immaculate. We stayed on a fully inclusive basis which was great. All the meals were done on a menu so you could see what you were eating throughout the day and everything was all served to you at your table. No horrible queueing at a buffet bar which I don’t like doing . For the daytime staff and evening staff are just so lovely helpful and polite they just wanted you to enjoy your stay in their beautiful hotel. There was a fully service bar with lovely cocktails made with local spirits if you wanted to upgrade, you could do for an extra cost which is no problem at all . My partner didn’t have any food allergies but he did have a dislike of pork. He mentioned this to one of the waitresses and every time pork was on the menu he had a different freshly prepared meal . No complaints from me at all . The hotel is a very restful and peaceful place to go to. Yes there is aircraft noise but what do you expect if the hotel is only 10 to 15 minutes away from the airport? The beach itself is gorgeous and absolutely fascinating to watch in the afternoon with all the kite surfers . We just want to send a huge thank you to all the management all the staff who made our holiday so relaxing and so stressfree . Our only complaint is that we had to come back home Room 109

Firstly it's not all inclusive you have to pay for certain things like air con / safe deposit box/ proper coke zero Pepsi/ if you want chips that's also 5 euro extra drinks are watery the food is of poor quality all meals are set menu if you don't like what they serve it's tuff luck also very small portions no vegan or gluten free options most of the food is Luke warm not hot at breakfast youhave to share your food with about 10 cats that live at hotel as they jump up on the table when you are eating staff do ther best it's unfortunate on them the pool area was never cleaned in the 10 days we were there the pool itself had all sorts of debris at the bottom of pool which was never cleaned the rooms be very careful and check you have not booked a standard room as they are very out dated and not suitable we had no choice but to pay 300 euros for a superior room as my wife refused to stay in standard room the pictures on the website are the wrong pictures you will need a car to get about there are 2 nice restaurants called Billy's place & a Greek restaurant called spitakis just up the road well worth a visit we ate there most of the time as the food was not edible as our hotel this hotel is all about how much money they can get out of you so please do your homework fist

Hotel was not as expected. On arrival, we were advised our room wasn’t ready and would be spending the first night in an upgraded room that wasn’t ours and would need to move the next morning. When we got into the room we thought the only difference was that the balcony was a sea view and not a land view. However, the next day when we were shown to our actual room for the week, it looked nothing like any pictures online, it was extremely dated, worn and not what we expected at all. We checked for images on Love Holidays, Booking.com and their own website. None had images of the room we were put into. When we mentioned this to reception, they advised only half the hotel had been renovated so far and all the modern rooms are the “superior” rooms, however these are the only pictures shown on the hotel website, booking partner and other online booking sites which is extremely misleading. We ended up paying extra to upgrade our room as we would not have booked the hotel if we had known the standard rooms are so dated. Air conditioning is not included and will cost you €8 euros a day. Secondly, be wary when booking “all inclusive” with this hotel. The food is not a buffet style at all. It’s a pre-set menu every day with table service. Food is usually luke warm, small portions and very limited options. Also food isn’t available all day as part of the all inclusive, there are 4 set times for the included food. Amazingly what isn’t included is chips, if you want a bowl of chips at any time other than breakfast, it’ll cost you €4.50. Lunch and dinner are 5 options and that’s it, if you’re vegetarian your options are commonly a salad or vegetables on bread. The breakfast is the same options every day - ordered yoghurt with peach compot and season fruit and was given yoghurt with 3 segments of tinned peaches and chopped apple… we ended up eating out after the first couple of days as the food options were so poor. As for the drinks, if you are out by the pool, you are given your drinks in a paper coffee cup. Due to the heat, the cups disintegrate with the condensation so drink fast. If it’s beer you’re drinking, the bar staff can tell how much foam is in the cup so you usually get a cup which is 50% foam and 50% beer.

- Our recent stay at this hotel was, at best, a little unsatisfactory. - The hotel we booked claimed to be all-inclusive, which was not entirely accurate nor displayed - After 10 o'clock at night, all drinks were charged at the hotel's local rates which was 28euros for a 9 euro bottle of wine. - The all-inclusive package stated there was a buffet-style food option, which was incorrect. NO Buffet. - There was no buffet; instead, there was a set five-course meal, which was very poor in quality (SMASH POTATO CUP O SOUP STARTER SOUP)which forced us to opt for eating out. i have owend food establishments so this was very disappointing. - There was an à la carte menu, which was cooked fresh and available at an extra charge which was at best CAFE food standard. Extras charged to room,no all inclusive wrist bands so be carefully the correct amounts are charged to your room. - On the positive side, the rooms were clean and tidy with some suspect maintenace standards in.places. Staff very friendly and polite. - All communal areas were well-maintained, however corridor doors did not open fully which would have been a challenge in an event of a fire for anyone wheelchair bound but they all was clean, and tidy. - The hotel had a very good outlook, located approximately 100 meters from the beach. - The weather was very hot during our stay. - There is not much in the local area; only a few bars and restaurants are nearby. - Overall, the area is quite sparse with limited amenities. The biggest annoyance is that your under the flight path for take off so expect and plane overhead 3 times an hour even at night
