Rhodos Horizon City

The best vacation experience ever. I stayed at this hotel with my sister for her birthday. So this was a birthday celebration weekend. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and polite. Unfortunately I don’t remember his name because it was hard for me to remember a Greek name. I told him that we were celebrating my sister’s birthday. The next day when we came back to our room from the beach, we saw a bottle of champagne and a beautiful birthday note from the hotel management. My sister was very happy and excited to see their gift. The Horizon City Hotel offers the best breakfast buffet in the morning and variety of events throughout the week. From live music to Greek night and Happy Hour, there’s plenty of great entertainment for everyone. The best part of this hotel is that it is Adults Only hotel. Also, this hotel is a five minute walk away from the beach and 15-20 minutes walk away from the Old Town. If I ever go back to Rhodes I will definitely stay at Horizon City Hotel.

My wife and I travelled to Rhodes with four friends and spent 10 days at the Rhodes Horizon City leaving on Thursday of last week. In brief this "adults only" hotel was excellent & well worth considering, we certainly felt that we had recieved great value for money, staying as we did on the b & b deal. It is ideally placed being about 10 minute walk to the beach and about 20 minutes from the old town. The place was spotless apart from one item I'll come to later & the staff worked very hard to welcome you and ensure you have a great time and all of us in our party agreed we had. The breakfast buffet was excellent with every taste and diet catered for and we ate a couple of lunchtimes and a couple of evenings in the restaurant. The food was very, very good and very reasonably priced as were the drinks. The room we had was very clean and comfortable although the fridge was working overtime because the door to the freezer compartment had broken off and was rather noisey, it should have been replaced really. The swimming pool is only very small with limited space for sun beds which wasn't a problem for us but may be for those people who prefer to lounge around the pool. All in all an excellent hotel, with brilliant friendly service and great value for money. The downside? It was quite noisey as the hotel has marble floors, unfortunately our room (102) was directly above the restaurant and every morning we woke at about 7 am to the sound of wooden chairs being dragged across a marble floor as people arrived for breakfast. Secondly whilst our room was very clean the balcony needed some attention. There was a small rain water drainage grill on the floor of the balcony which was full of tab ends and some previous charming visitor had obviously cut their toe nails on the balcony and not cleaned up after themselves!!!! Disgusting!! That aside it was excellent & great value for money. We never go back to the same place twice but if we did I'm sure we would go back to this excellent hotel if visiting Rhodes. As an aside if you do stay at the Horizon City there is an amazing shop directly opposite called City Supermarket where the lady owner will give you a 10% discount on all items.

Our first time in Rhodes and it didn’t disappoint , we were very happy with our choice of hotel , very clean and comfortable , staff were lovely especially Flora . Breakfast was great , only negative was the hot food was on the cold side. The pool area didn’t seem to have enough beds for the amount of guests which is disappointing but overall we would return because the location of the hotel is great for the old town and restaurants and shops .

Location is very good. Atmosphere in hotel was very friendly. Rooms were very nice and clean. Cleanliness of whole hotel and neighborhood was exceptional. The food was very good, both the breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay in Rhodos Horizon City hotel very well. The staff was very friendly and gave us very good service and took very good care of us. Everybody showed us friendliness. We give your hotel our best rate and we recommend it to everybody.

Back to this wonderful hotel for the 5th time and already booked for next year. Great to see some familiar faces among staff from previous visits. The hotel is in a great location and provides one of the most comprehensive breakfast offerings we have experienced. Every member of staff greets you with a smile day or night and will happily have a short chat when they get time. We opted for a sea view room again and had a great view across the harbour area. We have had side rooms with partial sea views but in our opinion it is worth a wee bit extra for the sea view. The pool area does have limited beds but they are cleaned daily and plenty towels available too. It takes until mid-morning for the sun to reach all area of the pool deck. Great hotel, great location and really great people.
