TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Park

Read on please as this is a positive review. We booked this hotel through our travel agent for a much needed short break. We were originally going to another nearby hotel, but a slight error put us here. We normally like quiet child free places as we have done all the kiddie stuff way back. Our arrival was early morning and in the dark, we were met by a lovely gentleman on the front desk, and provided with a sandwich. Then taken to our room by buggy. First positive is the wow factor of your “standard” room which overlooks the main pool. The room is more like an apartment with a Queen size bed and two singles, designed for families. We got up late to be greeted by stunning Mountain views to the rear of the room, and a massive pool (unheated), two smaller pools, one of which is heated, the other is a kiddies splash feature. Wandering around everywhere, even outside was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very well presented. There are premium rooms with their own swim up patios but I honestly felt our room was really well sited. Food was exceptional, and I don’t say that lightly. Breakfast was a typical mix of continental with fruit and cakes. The “English” breakfast is typical Greek ham, good sausages, with eggs, toast and all you could need including HO sauce ( nice touch from home). Evening meals were fantastic with varied night from Chinese, a curry, plenty of pasta dishes and loads of great fresh salads with Greek influences. The deserts were to die for, I have been on cruises with a massive team of chefs, and can honestly say these were some of the best desserts I have ever tried. Staff, where do we start, attentive but not intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a problem with our room door lock at night, and couldn’t get in the room. We were driven to the room, maintenance called (Michel) and a repair attempted, unfortunately couldn’t solve the problem, so at a sensible time the repair was carried out. Desk staff George and Catherina were always smiling and there for every minor query. Bar staff Anastazia and Leandroz making great cocktails, fantastic Black Russians and a twist on my wife’s Vidka and Orange. To support the food the waiting team in the main Anna and Christos were awesome seating you and plying me with red wine. This one is for the families, based on its layout, pools and entertainment team I think it is fair to say this is a hotel more suited to families, we were fortunate we went in the first couple of weeks of opening as it was still quiet. As we left it was getting busier, but I will stress still intimate enough if you wanted to get away from the crowds. For the kids the entertainers are non stop with aqua aerobics, volleyball, table tennis, dance sessions and yoga. Under duress I did the aqua aerobics and it great fun, even for an older guy. Shout out to the entertainers we had most contact with Chris, Kasper, Stash and Sanne (new best friends). Thank you to you all for making this a really beautiful experience, and I would have stayed if I hadn’t got to go to work. Summary, this is a family hotel best suited to those with kids but it didn’t detract from a great experience with stunning facilities. If you wanted intimate go in the first two weeks. Overall, we had a really lovely stay at this hotel, though I’m not sure we would return due to the food and drink quality. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful – the grounds are stunning, very well maintained, and have a calm, aesthetic feel throughout. It’s a gorgeous place to relax. Our bedroom overlooked the pool, which was a lovely touch, and housekeeping did a great job with daily cleaning and fresh towels. There is always something going on, which we really appreciated. The entertainment team were fantastic – energetic, friendly, and brilliant with children. It’s especially a great destination for families, with plenty of activities for children. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown and didn’t match the standard you’d expect from such a beautiful hotel with a 4+ star rating. In our opinion, it was more in line with a 3-star or at best a low 4-star. Breakfast was decent, but it would have been much better with something like an omelette station where you can choose toppings. Lunch was generally better than dinner, but overall the food lacked variety and quality. There was a limited selection and a heavy focus on pork. That said, a smaller selection would be absolutely fine if the quality was improved. A lot of the food didn’t feel particularly fresh and often seemed processed or simply reheated. Meat was often dry. The drinks were also disappointing. The cocktails in particular were overly sweet and not enjoyable. In summary, a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, good entertainment, and perfect for families – but the food and drink offering really needs improvement to match the rest of the experience.

We came back for our 17th Time, we love this place. We usually get some Welcome back champagne to the room, not a big deal but still nice and appreciated, but nothing this time, our friends came for their 3 rd Time and they got champagne.

Lovely hotel! Very good service and lovely setting by the sea and with a magnificent view of the mountains. We Have really enjoyed our stay.

We went on a family Holiday with a 2 year old and 8 month old. This is such a lovely hotel and ideal for families. The hotel itself is a lovely size. We were in a premium swim up family room which is well worth it. The swim up pool is perfect especially with little ones. The staff here are incredible. They are amazing with little ones and the entertainment at night was ideal for our 2 year old. The food at this hotel is really good for an all Inclusive. A big shout out to the man that runs the swim up bar! He made our holiday. We stayed there most of the time and he was so friendly and made great drinks. Sorry I have forgotten his name but he was fantastic. The splash park was great. Good for bigger kids but there is some stuff for little ones too. The view from this hotel is also one to mention. It’s beautiful. We didn’t really leave the hotel as we didn’t feel we needed to! We did walk to the beach but we didn’t stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.
