Gerakas Belvedere Hotel & Spa

Let me start with the positives! Beautiful area, hotel is lovely in design with a beautiful pool, with sun loungers. Sone rooms have been refurbished and are very nice but others still do need immediate attention. Bed a little hard but a mattress topper was provided so please ask if you find the same. If your looking for a quiet away from it all hotel this is it! But if you want entertainment and night life avoid it. Now for the negatives Omg the food very repetitive but worst of all either cold or Luke warm at the most, ever tried eating cold carbonara yuk!! Told to microwave it when I reported it was cold. The best meal of the day was breakfast! Lunch was ok if you like salads, soup a bit of fish or chicken. The evening meal is a big let down! You see due to sone very silly planning the bar is in the restaurant! So you could be sitting eating your meal with another table having drinks and playing cards! Also they are allowing guests to eat in each wear ! No sense of occasion or felt like you were going out for the evening… Now Panos the restaurant manager (Mr Clipboard) as we called him as he was never without his clipboard looking busy but doing nothing! He told us he had worked in five star hotels and Michelin star restaurants and his cocktails are the best! Well I do not know what mixology school he went to but they are ready made piped into glass as in the flavour then a shot of alcohol added!! When have you ever seen a transparent pina colada!! It is a cream based cocktail! They were in our opinion bike and an insult to serve to guests. The best thing they can do is take them off the menu! Also we arrived at 10.40 o e night from eating out and stopped for a drink in the bar 4 ouzo’s with lemonade , sipping our drinks and chatting to then be told drink up we are closing it was 10.50pm people are on holiday for God’s sake. The beer is not nice, the spirits felt like they had no guts to them so all in all we eat and drank out 13 out of the 14 nights yet had paid for all inclusive. This is the first year as an all inclusive restaurant and we always go B&B but they decided it was all inclusive only! And have lost many many returning clients. This hotel could be amazing!! Someone with common sense and a bit of vision could turn this place into something truly special….open up the grounds…open up a few little huts in the grounds for cocktails PROPER COCKTAILS! Even if we had to pay, a place to meet up for drinks in a nice atmosphere instead of sitting in a blooming works canteen! Like most ladies the evening is putting on a nice outfit, doing your hair and going to dinner and drinks I felt overdressed. Sadly we will not return unless B&B is provided where we can chose where to eat and drink.

Appalling place. By no means a 4* hotel. Suite described as luxury, no way! No privacy, filthy bathroom, sewage smells, no minibar or coffee machine as per room description. Food is poor quality, cooked hours ahead, kept warm but dried out under heat lamps, and what's left is recycled for the next meal. Weed openly smoked outside and in the pool bar. Never a 10 minute walk from any beach. Remote position in a down at heel area. Manager rude and staff lacklustre. Avoid at all costs if you're looking for luxury, this place doesn't know the meaning of it.

We booked this hotel having read the reviews saying this was a peaceful and quiet hotel , it was fantastic very clean and modern we were given an upgraded room on arrival without asking , the views are spectacular especially from the restaurant pool was clean as was the entire poolside and bar area , the staff are amazing, we knew it would be a quiet area and it was great lovely long walks in the countryside with the wildlife. Rooms are fantastic. Food is probably the only letdown lukewarm and some weird choices like chocolate cake for breakfast, however we always managed to find something nice . We hired a car for a few days and saw most of this wonderful island but it was nice to come back to the peaceful hotel . I would highly recommend this fantastic hotel if you like peaceful and quiet , The spa was fantastic too

A genuinely lovely week – ignore the outdated reviews We stayed for seven nights at the end of September and, having read some of the older reviews before arriving, I honestly wasn't quite sure what we'd find. I'm very pleased to say that our experience was completely different. We were told when checking out that the owner's daughter has recently taken over the running of the hotel, the rooms have been renovated and there is a new team of staff. That makes a lot of sense, because some of the older reviews simply don't resemble the hotel we stayed in. Our room was huge, modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with a lovely balcony and plenty of space. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, peaceful and incredibly relaxing, and the staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We were all-inclusive and were genuinely impressed with the food. There was always plenty of choice, lots of fresh salads and Greek dishes, and breakfast was excellent — particularly the ridiculously good Greek yoghurt! We never struggled to find something we wanted to eat. This isn't a hotel for people looking for entertainment, nightlife and activities all day, and for us that was actually one of its biggest attractions. It's quiet. Vasilikos itself is rural and peaceful, with beautiful beaches, tavernas and countryside to explore. We walked more than 30 miles during our week, often simply picking a road or track and seeing where it took us. The spa was another lovely addition and we both had excellent massages during our stay. We've travelled to several Greek islands and this has been one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we've had. Seven nights of good food, beautiful surroundings, wandering, sunshine and actually having time to stop. We would happily return and would absolutely recommend Gerakas Belvedere to anyone looking for a quieter, more peaceful side of Zakynthos. One tip: when reading reviews, pay attention to when they were written. The hotel appears to have undergone significant changes under its current management, and our experience in September/October 2026 was excellent

Just returned from an amazing stay here, I feel the negative reviews aren’t justified as this hotel is so nice. Everything about my stay was perfect and the food is delicious. It is so tranquil and relaxing especially in the spa area. Staff also very friendly and helpful, will definitely be returning next year.
