Gloria Maris Hotel Suites & Villas

We absolutely loved this hotel, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the rooms and views stunning, we felt we had found paradise and will definitely be returning. Good location, we walked down the short slope to the beach, clear warm water with small sandy beach. We had very good breakfasts, great selection and all fresh, something for everyone. We ate in the restaurant one evening and it was delicious, moussaka and stifado, however, we also walked the 25 minutes walk around to the Laganas Bay and ate in the restaurants there and walked to Cameo Island across the bridge.

If you love cats don’t go, they forbid feeding of cats on their property. I personally love to feed and stroke the cats when on holiday in Greece so will now not return here for that reason. Cats in Greece have a hard enough life without cruel hotel owners making their life more difficult.

The Golia Maris Hotel is beautifully decorated and has friendly staff. There is a wonderful view and a tasty breakfast. It is a beautiful location. However, I have to admit that the sunbeds by the pool and down by the water are practically falling apart. The curtains in the room were attached with just two screws without wall plugs causing them to fall down. The shower drain is positioned on one side, which isn't right. The showers occasionally run cold. There is mold on the ceiling in certain areas, and there are dirty spots in the shower.
