Karras Grande Resort

We were all for giving a 5 star review but a couple of things let it down . Good things - lovely pools , we were upgraded on our room which was lovely, spotlessly clean , new sheets and towels every day , friendly staff. Good choice of food , something for everyone. Good choice of ice cream Bad points - drinks in restaurant were not nice , left an after taste , including the water . Some food like the pasta was cold , even if you ate early . Biggest dissatisfaction was when we checked out was that our bands were taken from us and we were unable to use facilities as we’re weren’t being picked up until 6 and told by receptionist that this was the process , despite everyone that was being picked up at 6 had full use of restaurant, pool bar etc which after a lovely holiday left us feeling very unvalued and that you’d had our money now leave

We are currently staying at Karras Grande Resort and felt we had to leave a review because it has been absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the manager has been so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Every single member of staff has been professional, kind and always happy to help. A special mention to the lovely receptionist who was on duty on the evening of 26th July – she was amazing and is a real credit to the hotel. The rooms are spotless and kept immaculate. Everything is clean, comfortable and very well looked after. The food has also been excellent. I'm an extremely fussy eater and I very rarely eat breakfast, especially scrambled eggs. In fact, this morning was the first time I've ever eaten scrambled eggs abroad! They are clearly freshly made with care – not powdered or microwaved – and they were delicious. We were a little unsure about coming as we normally holiday in Tenerife, but Greece has completely won us over. It is absolutely beautiful, and Karras Grande Resort has made our holiday even more special. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely return. 10/10 – 110% in every way!

The bad: Food and drinks choice are really poor. The drinks - soft drinks none of us found a soft drink which was enjoyable. The cocktails werent any better either. Even to improve it, the cocktails that are charged could be rotated daily just to keep drinks interesting. The food- unless you ate chips and salad everything else wasn't good. Breakfast was probably the best meal, but the bacon and sausages were not anything to write hom about. Pasta was reused the following days for lunch and tasted the same everytime it was creamy pasta. The restaurant is a chore to move around if its busy as it is so small and even getting back to your table it is actually a squeeze to get back. Daytime entertainment was OK, waterpolo was fun and volleyball. The GOOD - the rooms were spotless and the cleaners did a fantastic job daily! The hotel and around the pool were always clean and the staff are always working hard to maintain the cleanliness. The location is great to walk into town with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants! We ate out 3 times during our stay and went out every night for drinks. We wouldn't return but would recommend the hotel for bed and breakfast. It was clean, the rooms are lovely and so are the staff the food and drinks let it down for us.

It’s ok. Food is ok. Drinks are awful. It’s more of a budget hotel stay but it’s clean. Local food is fairly cheap so not had to suffer the buffet at night. Watered down alcohol is served at the bar. And good luck getting a sunbed unless you’re up at 6am. À la carte is pointless you can’t get in if you are only here for 7 days.
