Karras Grande Resort

Firstly, I must stress that we only stayed in this hotel for one night, we were not all inclusive and were not part of a holiday package, we were just walk in Guests. I later found out that the hotel is undergoing refurbishment After reading reviews of this hotel, it would seem that the most problems were with the all-inclusive packages which I am sure the hotel is well aware of and addressing in their ongoing complete refurbishment. It must be noted that people love to complain. They want five star food and Service for three star prices and have 'champagne ideas on beer money!' Our experience on check-in was excellent the receptionists were both charming, helpful, and professional. Because it is near end of season, the hotel is not that busy and we were immediately upgraded to a two room suite. We were shown to our room and could not believe the standard..... It was excellent! The rooms are very modern, very well equipped, and the beds are of the highest quality and so comfortable. I have to say the room was absolutely spotless and everything in the very modern bathroom was gleaming! we had not one, but two air air-conditioning units, which were very efficient. In all, the room was absolutely faultless. I spoke to a few people staying in the hotel and they were very happy with their accommodation and the hotels central location. This is the third hotel that we have stayed at on Zakynthos and it is 'way ahead' in terms of comfort & value of our previous stays in other hotels on both the Island of Zakynthos and our many stops along the way on our coastal road trip around mainland Greece. I would highly recommend this hotel but as we were walk in guests, I cannot comment on the food or drinks as we ate at the many bars and restaurants just a short 2 minute walk away in the town. I am sure that come next season, on completion of refurbishment, the 'Karras Grande Resort' will be high on the list of the best places to stay in Planos.😎

nice location not too far from beach and restaurants entertainment nonexistent food always cold drinks not good some staff were very pleasant but some never seemed to smile

We didn’t expect much of this hotel due to previous reviews however we were pleasantly surprised. All staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good, quickly replaced when items ran out and tasty. Nice, modern, spacious rooms. Aircon was good. Great location. 3 good pools. As with other reviews, if they put a cushion on every sunbed & sorted out the poor soft drinks then this would be a really great hotel.

Quick easy booking in they even carried our luggage into the room 412 or was lovely clean and large there tea and coffee station and a good cold fridge they don’t knock off if room card is out iron and small ironing board hair dryer there also shower gels and shower hat towels nice and soft and clean and there aircon there 3 pool areas and 2 pool bars once again nice and clean the sun loungers the hard plastic one are not comfortable the offers are a lot better but some need replaced Breakfast was good the lady on the omelette station was so lovely you can choose you filling also if you like your fried eggs flipped over she happy to do them fresh there a good selection Dinner /lunch there was always a good selection sometime the food could do with being warmer but there is a microwave there but we never went hungry we did go out on a evening for food and drinks but we always do half and half when we are on holiday can’t say much about drinks as we always go out in the evening but coffee was weak and tonic water was ok we enjoyed our two weeks stay a few little tweaks could make it 10/10 Better coffee Sunbeds need to be comfortable Mirror in bedroom needs moved down over dresser as to high to see in when sitting Food to be kept warmer But a big shout out for the staff they work hard and always friendly and helpful

Lovely hotel, very clean, our room was big and modern. That's the good points! Food is awful, we ate out 5 out of the 7 nights, we witnessed 2 couples also walking out after looking what was on offer for the evening meal. Drinks, worst ever! The beer was awful, soft drinks like Cola and a fake lemon fanta was undrinkable. The sunbeds are hard, no cushions. Would we go again... No definitely not. You dont pay for all inclusive then have to eat and drink out!
