Legian Beach Hotel

We have just returned to Perth following a 10 night holiday at the Legian Beach Hotel, Legian. It is a beautiful and peaceful piece of Bali located in the middle of Legian. The minute that you walk drive off the hustle and bustle of the busy street or walk in directly off Legian Beach, into the manicured grounds, the serenity, peacefulness and quietness of the property is so refreshing and gives you a sense of being "home". All around the property, the natural gardens are beautifully maintained, and the property is spotlessly clean. There are plenty of choices of rooms and Villas to suit your budget and most have been renovated recently. A full buffet breakfast is included for all family members, regardless of the room type you select. There are numerous restaurants on the property to choose from. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. A live band entertains at night with music where the volume is just right. There is plenty to do for the little kids with a dedicated splash pool, feeding squirrels, feeding fish and a kids club. There is a large family pool and an adults only pool, complete with a swim up bar, for the adults who want some quietness while enjoying a swim. All staff from senior management, to administration, front desk, concierge , restaurants, housekeeping, gardening, cleaning, maintenance, were always courteous and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending the Legian Beach Hotel to anyone who wants to experience modern hotel facilities and service, with the feel of "the old Bali".

We had a fantastic dinner here, we were served by Ary, who was incredibly, friendly, super attentive and had great banter. Our food was just as good and the live music made the atmosphere absolutely perfect.

Overall ratings are all good, but overshadowed due to the super friendly employees. There is actually nothing to say about that or the service. Nevertheless I think it is important to highlight the fact that the hotelrooms could use a renovation. The foto's have been taken a while ago and are looking modern, but they are not really anymore. The beds are really hard, the view from the rooms at the 2 story building have no or nearly no view and have a lot of noise of the bars from across the street. Every room (we have switched rooms due to the noise) comes with a lot of musquito's, I think they are coming out of the sink or the bathroom. The staff tells us it is due to the gardens, but we have stayed in 2 other hotels in the middle of the jungle and did not see 1. The breakfast area is really, really busy and big, so please take this in considaration when booking this hotel. You need to pay extra for a capuccino or latte and if the table is not cleaned immideately little ants will show up. For a 4 star hotel this could be much much better. Breakfast was good and a lot to choose from, but this may not overshadow the critical notes.

We were transferred here from Candi Beach Resort, and to be honest, Legian Beach Hotel probably wasn’t somewhere I would have chosen to book myself. However, it completely exceeded our expectations. The Deluxe Garden Bungalows are fantastic and easily rival rooms we’ve stayed in at much more expensive hotels. The pools are lovely, with plenty of comfortable pool loungers and a really relaxed atmosphere. The food has also been really good and is very reasonably priced for a hotel. The location is excellent, with the beach directly opposite and plenty of restaurants, shops and things to do within easy walking distance. There are lots of families staying here, including plenty of teenagers and kids, so it’s been a great choice for travelling with teenagers. Overall, we’ve been really impressed and would happily stay here again. Excellent value for money, particularly given the quality of the bungalows, facilities and location.

Really enjoyed our stay at LBH. I have been wanting to try this hotel for ages and would definitely go back. Loved the bungalows! Gives the warmth and charm of old Bali, they're very clean and modern, with the most comfy beds! Location couldn't be better if you like being right in the hub of things and right on the beach. A special thanks to Deta who upon request, moved us to a bungalow further away from the reception area to a quieter location. Greatly appreciated Deta!
