Fantastic family holiday at the Bahiazul resort! We stayed in villa 11-3 and it was amazing! Our sons' shared a bedroom and their room interconnected with ours, which was ideal, as they would've had to access it via the pool area otherwise. Our daughter is 18 and she had a double bedroom to herself, which she loved. There seemed to be a lack of coat hangers in the wardrobes, but the storage space itself was perfect. Each bedroom had its own ensuite, which was very convenient. The bathrooms were a bit tired and could do with updating, but they were clean and functional. My husband commented that there wasn't a plug in the bathroom sink and so he had to use a bowl that he found in the kitchen when he wanted a shave. The living/dining and kitchen areas were super. It looked as though the kitchen had recently been refurbished as the appliances in the kitchen appeared to be almost brand new. We stayed half board but the kitchen had everything you could possibly want if you were self catering. Our children certainly made themselves at home on the comfy sofas and it was lovely to see them looking so relaxed and at home. We had a utility room off the main living space, which had quite a new LG washing machine, ironing board, iron and sink in it. The washing machine was a godsend as we used it every day and didn't have the dreaded mountain of washing and drying to do when we returned home today! It made a huge difference to us, especially being a family of 5! There were two clothes airers, one downstairs and one on the roof terrace. We managed to fit all of our washing on it every day. The pool was great and we definitely had our use out of it! We didn't pay the extra to have it heated and are glad we didn't because it was a perfect temperature anyway. The heat from the sun kept the pool warm all day, without it feeling too intense. We only used the hot tub a couple of times as it really was too hot for us, even when it hadn't been heated beforehand. The area around the pool was well set out, with sun loungers, easy chairs and a table and chairs. More furniture was provided on the very spacious roof terrace, which spanned the length of the villa. We could see the sea in the distance from the roof terrace - it was a lovely view! We stayed for 9 nights and our villa was cleaned twice during our stay, which included the pool. We were very satisfied with the standard of cleaning and couldn't fault it. The breakfast selection in the restaurant was excellent - we really were spoilt for choice! There were different themes each night in the restaurant, such as Italian and Mexican. There were also pizzas and hotdogs/burgers every night. The cake selection was fabulous too! The staff were always very pleasant and the maitre d' who greeted us each evening really stood out for us. He was just a really genuinely nice man and made us feel so welcome. He brought a smile to our faces every evening 😊. The security staff were friendly and changed our pool towels whenever we asked them to. The reception staff were polite and friendly and when we reported some missing balls on the pool table, they sorted the issue out and the balls were replaced the same day. Lidl and another supermarket were only a five minute walk away - ideal for stocking up on essentials. The pathway to Lidl wasn't great and could do with upgrading. This was nothing to do with the Bahiazul resort though as the resort itself was exceptionally well maintained. Even whilst we were there, we could see the pathways were being painted and refreshed. The beach is about a 45-50 minute walk away from the resort. We walked into town and to the beach a couple of times and got a taxi back for about 7 euros. There is a big shopping complex in Corralejo and the beaches are beautiful, particularly Grandes Playas. There's a wide variety of bars and restaurants to choose from, both on the beach and in the town. All in all, we had a fantastic time at the Bahiazul resort and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of busy hotels. If you like to be entertained day and night, this perhaps isn't the place for you but if you want rest and relaxation, it's just perfect!

We stayed in the Royal Three Bedroom Villa with Private Heated Pool - Bed and Breakfast in early August. We were very pleased with our stay. We arrived quite late, so the details and villa keys were left with reception. I cant remember the security guards name, but he was brilliant. After a long journey with 3 kids, he took the bags, onto a buggy drove us all down the the villa with the bags (kids loved that part). Showed us the room, how to use everything, explained where the 2 local shops were. Pass on our thanks (he calls the boys del boy, if that helps work out who it is :) ) We went to reception to check in the next day, very helpful, friendly speak english really well. It was a chaps first week I think he was very good, i wouldnt of known it was his first week. He couldn’t be more helpful. Went to reception a few more times over the stay, everyone was very helpful and they helped with a late checkout for a small extra charge. The BBQ grills were all includes in our villa. The BBQ on the room was really good. Breakfast was great. The villa was very spacious and workes well for our setup. Its traditional spanish feel, which I like on holiday. Its a spanish island afterall. Its exactly what I would expect a spanish villa to be like, it was very clean and the cleaners came every 2 days along with the pool. All cleaning staff including pool staff very friendly. Resort very nice, 2x supermarkets close. Nice italian place just past the supermarkets and a pizza takeaway place just before the supermarkets. Quite area. My only small complaint is the hot tub was luke warm. I like my hot tubs hot. Like 40c and couldnt see any option to turn it up. Other than that, dont even think about it, just book it.

We recently stayed at Bahiazul Resort Fuerteventura in a two-bedroom villa with a private pool. Unfortunately, despite the villa being very spacious and having a lot of potential, our overall experience was extremely disappointing. On arrival, the private pool was dirty. The villa itself was roomy, but extremely dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. There were cracked floor tiles, flaking paint, rusty fixtures, broken/damaged woodwork and appliances that did not work correctly. The air conditioning was also very frustrating. It seemed impossible to get a comfortable temperature – the villa was either too warm or freezing cold. There were no instructions provided in the villa explaining how to operate the air conditioning system, and we had to call the maintenance team out twice to assist us with it. Unfortunately, we also had unwanted visitors in the form of cockroaches, both inside the villa and even in the swimming pool. We raised our concerns with reception but found them very unhelpful. Rather than dealing with the issues, we were simply asked to email our complaint in, which we declined to do as we were standing at reception and wanted the problems addressed during our stay. We ended up purchasing our own cockroach spray so that we had something to hand when further cockroaches appeared – which, unfortunately, they did. The cleanliness of the villa generally was also very poor. The villa is only cleaned once every four days and, in our experience, this was little more than a surface clean. My children put on brand-new white socks and within an hour they were absolutely filthy. The bottoms of our feet were equally dirty if we walked around without socks. Upstairs, the large sunbed/daybed with the white covering was badly stained. If you placed a damp towel on it, the towel would actually pick up a yellow/brown colour from the covering. The upstairs jacuzzi also gave off a horrible chemical smell when used and simply did not feel clean. By far the most disappointing aspect was the private pool, particularly as this was one of the main reasons we chose a villa with a pool. Although it looked lovely immediately after being cleaned, within a day the water and surfaces felt slimy – similar to a children’s paddling pool that has been left for several days. My boys got to the point where they did not want to use it. Any inflatables left in the pool came out with a green tinge, and one of my children’s pairs of shorts has been completely ruined by green staining from the pool. For accommodation marketed with a private pool, this really was not acceptable. There is a barbecue area on the roof, which looks great, but you have to pay €22 for the grills in order to actually use it. There is also a pool table available near reception. You can change money at reception as the table only accepts €1 coins, and it costs €2 per game. Unfortunately, the table itself is on a slant, which rather ruins the game! We also booked the Friday night barbecue. The food was okay, although there was not a great deal that was particularly child-friendly. More concerning was the number of flies all over the uncovered salad and bread – and probably the meat too, although we could not see that as it was behind the barbecue. We felt the food hygiene standard here was very poor. The customer service was another disappointment. The staff themselves were pleasant, but whenever we raised an issue, nobody seemed particularly interested in actually resolving it. For a resort of this supposed standard, we expected a much higher level of accommodation and customer service. One positive mention must go to the security staff, who were absolutely lovely. They were always friendly and welcoming and we genuinely enjoyed stopping and having a chat with them. Overall, the villas have the potential to be fantastic. They are spacious, the private pool concept is great and the rooftop area could be lovely. However, they desperately need refurbishment, much more thorough and frequent cleaning, significantly better pool maintenance and a much more proactive approach when guests raise concerns. For the price and the standard Bahiazul presents itself as offering, we expected considerably better. Sadly, based on our experience, we would not return.
