Bahiazul Villas Club

This was our fourth stay here, and we were really looking forward to spending nine nights at one of our favourite places. Our previous visits had always been peaceful, relaxing and exactly what we look for when booking a holiday, which is why we were so happy to return. Unfortunately, this stay was very different. We were allocated a room on Road 11, which is by far one of the noisiest roads in the resort. There was constant noise from delivery vans passing by, as well as staff walking past and shouting to one another, as their facilities are located along this road. We appreciate that room allocation is largely the luck of the draw, and although this was disappointing, we were prepared to accept it. What we hadn't anticipated, however, was the amount of building work taking place around us. There were two villas close to ours undergoing renovations, and the noise was constant. The drilling, building work and general construction noise completely disrupted the peace and tranquillity we had previously enjoyed here. The building work also had an impact on the pool. There was constantly a layer of black dust settling on the bottom, and although the pool was cleaned twice during our nine-night stay, it still didn't resolve the problem. Unfortunately, we also experienced several pest issues during our stay. We initially had an invasion of ants coming in from underneath the sink, which meant we had to purchase insect spray from the supermarket ourselves to deal with the problem. We then discovered baby cockroaches, mainly in the bathroom and bedroom. Having since read other reviews, it appears that this may be an ongoing issue at the resort, which is concerning. Another issue was the noise from neighbouring guests. The resort is split into two sides, and we feel it would make much more sense to consider separating adult-only bookings and family bookings when allocating rooms, where possible. We had a family staying in the villa directly behind ours, and the noise from the family was relentless. We completely understand that families are there to enjoy their holidays too, but unfortunately not everyone is considerate of how much noise carries between the villas. For guests choosing this resort specifically for peace and relaxation, this can have a significant impact on their stay. We appreciate that some things, such as room location and neighbouring guests, cannot always be controlled. However, when you combine the constant road noise, ongoing building work, dust-covered pool, pest problems and noise from neighbouring guests, the overall experience was a long way from the relaxing holiday we had envisaged. This is particularly disappointing because we had already booked to return next year. Sadly, following this experience, we have now cancelled that booking. It is a real shame, as we previously considered this one of our favourite places to stay and had been happy to return time and time again. Unfortunately, this visit has completely changed our view, and we hope the resort will take these issues seriously, particularly the building work, pest control and the allocation of rooms between adult-only and family bookings.

This was our fourth year in a row staying at Bahiazul, and once again, it did not disappoint! We stayed for 11 days in September in an Excellence Villa (3-1), and we absolute love having our own private pool, sun terrace, and rooftop jacuzzi. The villa itself is lovely—the interior décor is really tasteful and modern. Housekeeping is fantastic; the inside was cleaned every day, and the outside area was maintained every second day, keeping everything spotless. The location is ideal. It’s just a quick 5 to 10-minute drive into the main area of Corralejo, but if you need everyday essentials, both Lidl and Mercadona are literally a 2-minute walk away. Breakfast at the resort is another major highlight—there is always a great selection with tons of variety to choose from every morning. Bahiazul has truly become our home away from home, and we're already looking forward to returning next year!

We are enjoying our 4th stay at Bahiazul and again everything is perfect. We are in Villa 13-11 on a half-board basis and its in a quiet location and the facilities are excellent with a modern kitchen,spacious lounge,very comfortable bed with bathroom on suite.The pool in the garden has a large patio area to relax in and on the upper terrace is a large sunbed and jacuzzi. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and after unpacking visited the nearby supermarket to stock up on lunch items. We enjoyed our daily breakfast and dinners in the restraunt and food is provided buffet style with a grill area where the chef will cook items available each day. We have the fortune to eat in many resorts and the variety,quality and choices are amazing and the best in our opinion. Credit must go to the all the chefs and waiting staff that provide such a high standard. The resort is keep very clean and cleaning and maintenance is carried out to a high level. All the staff we had the pleasure to meet are genuinely welcoming,polite and take pride in their work. We must especially thank Ibrahim,Adima,Fran,Rosa and emanuel who made our stay so enjoyable.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay, the staff were fantastic especially Emmanuel Barman/waiter good banter, friendly and very helpful. We will be back again!
