Went here for a week in mid October. The weather was fantastic. Booked an easyjet holiday deal from Belfast . The flights , transfers and hotel were all fine. We were all inclusive at the hotel and found the food and drink to be more than acceptable. Being a 3 star and reading some of the reviews I didn’t have high expectations. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and choice of food . The staff were all very helpful and courteous . We had a superior double which had air conditioning, a modern bathroom and comfortable beds . I’m more than pleased with the value for money . The location is quiet and the nearest town / beach is a 40 minute walk along the coastal pathway . The atmosphere and activities around the pool and bar were very good.

After reading some of the horrific reviews I was a bit apprehensive about coming here. Stayed in the double superior room 48A which was quite small,but air con was fa,and looked towards Caleta de Fuste. The no cup or token to get a drink was actually not too bad as it meant there were no plastic cups scattered around the pool and ensured guests kept their spot at the pool tidy.No cleaning on Sundays and Wednesdays but we were told this on arrival,and rooms were cleaned on the other dates without fail.Used the gym facility 3 times and their were 4 cardio machines and a large weights machine. There was a 10 euro deposit for this and you were given a remote control for air con in gym.Animation guy tried to get guests involved in various games without any pressure. Food was a bit hit and miss.Breakfast in my opinion had the best selection.There is a microwave oven next to soups at the main door for those complaining that food was cold.Italian theme night was my favourite. Very warm in the restaurant, so stick to the left side as it was slightly cooler.Drinks were the normal local drinks for all inclusive, but you had to pay for branded drinks Between 1030 and 1130 ,you could get branded drinks 2 for 1 which was excellent value and I got 2 Drambui whiskeys for only 4.30 euros. Very warm in the indoor bar too,but plenty of seats outside although there were lots of smokers. Costa Antigua is a very quiet area and there were a few bars and restaurants. Went to The Crazy Goat,Volvereta and Bennys Sport Bar at the bottom of the hill,close to the coastal walk.Bar prices were very cheap and a large beer was only 2.5 Euros and even cheaper at happy hour. Walked into Calete de Fuste which took us 15 minutes using the dirt track directly left of main entrance. We also used the coastal route which takes much longer,but you get to see the Barbary squirrels on the rocks, but they are not chipmunks which a lot of people think.Bus into Calete de Fuste is 1.45 euros and it is same price to the islands capital Puerto del Rosario.Line 3 and 16 go both ways and timetables can be easily found online. Only yards from hotel too.All in had a decent holiday, but it is not the Ritz but thought it was good value for the price we paid.Cheap and cheerful would sum up this place.

This was my 3rd visit here and the first two times I really enjoyed the holiday..this time though! Oh boy where to start. Our apartment was in desperate need of an upgrade. The shower curtain was too short so whenever we had a shower the bathroom was flooded. The all inclusive buffet seemed to be mostly the same thing every night. Most of the staff were friendly and polite but I noticed one staff member called Armando was obnoxiously rude to many guests. He was rude to me and I asked him what his problem was, he promptly accused me of trying to steal money from the tip jar that sat on the bar top. I complained to reception about this man but got no real help. The next day we got a warning from our tour operator citing our "unreasonable behaviour" on contacting them my partner was told the manager had sent an email saying I tried to steal from the tip jar. We had 4 days left of our holiday and the only advice our tour operator could suggest was to avoid him. I paid over £1000 for this holiday so I'm hardly likely to be stealing a few euros, I can only guess Armando was trying to throw up a smoke screen to divert attention
