BLUESEA Marieta Spa

Loved the location so near the beach but hundreds of steps to get down. Very quiet atmosphere but saying that was really nice and lots of young people but mature nice adults no rowdiness. Our room was small and the view was awful but we were only in the room to sleep and change. We were first floor looking one a tin roof and where the Wednesday and Saturday market is ( massive market) so near . Great value because so immaculate and food was great , my daughter and I eat very healthy and we were very happy and impressed with the healthy choices, just they need to fix the cold cabinets and they need air conditioning in restaurant and lobby it’s stifling in both areas. Our air conditioning was crap in the room also . I saw two cockroaches 🪳 and was rather shocked because the hotel is immaculate but I suppose they get these creatures in very hot places . I killed one and someone else killed the great big one . Entertainment was pretty good most nights but for the bingo jeez he was boring was that guy . Some staff was really nice and friendly but the barman on the rooftop bar was not . He was called Niko and was really rude to my daughter and I and told me he couldn’t speak English but I was told by another member of staff that he could so I told him to his face how rude he was . Luckily he went on holiday and we got a lovely pleasant guy then who was so very nice. Would we return no but we enjoyed it and made it ok by not bothering about the bits we didn’t like . Would I recommend this hotel yes but only if they sorted out their air conditioning because in extreme heat like that 39/41 degrees it was unbearable in the bedroom and restaurant . We were so grateful for the outside dinning area because of the none existing air conditioning in the dining area. The rooftop pool is so beautiful and chilled out atmosphere and the views are amazing from there. But I went down to the main pool for my swims , they are just plunge pools on the rooftop. If you have a late flight home you can book to have a shower before you go, we booked a shower down in the spa.

It was warm outside, but the AC in the restaurant was off, and in the room very poor. Almost all day loud music at the pool. Not enough sunbeds and to small. Food okay. Room just okay. Good locatie. No 4 stars.

An enjoyable stay was had at this hotel (5 nights). I found the staff to be friendly and helpful (I think it helps, as a British tourist - to try and make an effort to speak basic Spanish with the staff). Room was spacious and clean. The shower did leak slightly. There was entertainment on each night (music, magicians, bingo) but the hotel is in a prime location for PDI hotspots as well (Irish Quarter, Yumbo). Some of the seating and decor in the communal area downstairs is slightly dated. There was a good selection of food in the buffets, however you may struggle with variety if you do not eat fish and/or meat. The rooftop bar shuts at 6 which is disappointing but you can still access the terrace. Would definitely go again. Special Thanks to Diego as well <3

Location great , room s clean and tidy but could do with an uplift to the bathroom as shower leaks all over the floor but apart from that great room and good nights sleep. Meals cooked well and plenty of choice for a seven night stay . Entertainment is pretty basic to poor in the evening s but that doesn’t really reflect on the hotel as you have bars outside with good entertainment. The negative s have got to be that the hotel lacks atmosphere and the feel your on holiday . Which is gutting as this hotel could be a real hidden gem with the rooftop bar being a central point. So disappointing it shuts at 6 and it’s like a library up there. My biggest problem was the rudeness of bar staff . It’s like your a problem and everything is to much hassle . Would I return yes to the island no to the hotel purely on atmosphere and staff towards us . But the cleaners and cookers are the award winners at the hotel.

We stayed last week in the Blue Sea Marieta in Playa Del Ingles, the hotel is beautiful and is spotless, staff are always cleaning. The room was very spacious and always clean. The chefs are lovely , waitresses downstairs are nice. However rooftop bar staff are not friendly and have a horrible attitude throwing cups into the sink behind them when you ask for a drink. They seem like they don’t want to work there at all. The staff were never at the bar always away from the bar when you want a beverage. There is a reusable plastic cup policy where you pay €1 deposit for each cup to use throughout your stay if you are all inclusive. However some staff are reluctant to change your cup for a fresh cup the next again day to get a drink. The receptionists never even explained this policy when we checked into the hotel. To conclude our stay was lovely however the downfall was the poor attitude of staff in the rooftop bar area. Couldn’t fault any of the other staff who were amazing, attentive and so approachable. Especially the pool staff on the ground floor you couldn’t compare them to the rooftop bar staff.
