Hotel LIVVO Costa Taurito

Just back from the Livvo hotel costa taurito and can say i have a very good holiday staying here. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. We arrived around 10pm and when we checked in we had 5 food bags for us as we arrived. A cheese n ham sandwich, bottle of water, an apple & some biscuits in each bag which was a nice little touch. We stayed on 3rd floor and with our rooms being next door to each other we where able to have the extra door unlocked between both rooms so basically we could come and go from each room without having to step outside of main room door. Rooms where fine, people say outdated which i would agree but not to an extent were it would affect your holiday. Cleaners in every day for the week, aircon was great as you deffinately needed it as it was boiling every day. Some day time activities, darts, shuffleboard etc. I thought the pool area was perfect, it was so well kept & neat and tidy. All inclusive was great too, breakfast and lunch was fine but a little struggle for dinner thats if you are fussy. One of the best things about this hotel is my experience of the pool bar snacks. In most hotels its set times and a free for all to grab a burger, hotdog etc, well not at this hotel. Snacks are 11am - 5pm , burgers, hotdogs, toasties, chips, fruit and some loaf cakes. The snacks are made to order so you can have as much as you want between those 6 hours , small icecream pots available too in those 6 hours and your usual all inclusive drinks, beer, wines, 3 cocktails available, 2 mocktails available and self service soft drinks. I think this hotel is aimed at different nationalities just by going with dinner options and hearing the different accents round the pool area. 5-10 min walk to the free water park which is fantastic, please note that your all inclusive cant be used in waterpark. A few shops, supermarket in the area and the beach is at the end with watersports you need to pay for. This is the quieter area compared to puerto rico but still a nice vibe . Evening entertainment ok, nothing amazing. There is one area for all hotels and you can use you all inclusive at the bar at the entertainment. If you dont fancy it you can grab a bus to puero rico for 7 euros for 5 of us one way if you fancy a look around a different area. Remember every review is subjective to your own experience. I only looked at the 4-5 star reviews before i went so i didnt have a negative thought before i went and while i was in holiday i decided to see what the negative reviews where saying but i had a great little holiday with my wife and 3 grown up kids. Just depends what your expectations are. Hope i have managed to cover a lot of thing here.

The hotel is lovely! Ignore the bad reviews, it’s peaceful, quiet and literally a 5 minute walk to everything! Staff are lovely and will go out their way to make your stay nice. Rooms are really big with a huge bathroom, yea they’re basic but are you always in your hotel room? It was always clean and I was just there to sleep and sit on the balcony! The food is lovely, I don’t know why people are moaning, there’s something new everyday! You get Chinese one day, then tacos the next! Probably the best buffet I’ve had at an all inclusive! Really loved staying here and would highly recommend for a budget value for money all inclusive!

They say it's a 4 star hotel, but in my opinion it's not, maybe 3 star. Rooms and bathrooms are big, but in need of a renovation, specially the bathroom. Cleaning is great. At the reception not everyone understands English. All inclusive is nice, but the restaurant, the food is bad, everything tastes the same. Drinks in plastic or paper cups, even the so called cocktails! Swimming pool is nice with enough beds, but not enough parasol. There a "lifeguard " who's only busy with his telephone and pays no attention at the swimming pool. The hotel has a no smoking policy everywhere except the small place next to the reception. But people are smoking and no one says anything, really bad. For us no more this hotel.

We read mixed reviews about this place, but honestly, ignore them, the people that nit pick are looking for stuff to moan about. We had a great family holiday with plenty to do for everyone. The food is ok, you won’t starve. The place is clean and tidy. The entertainment isn’t great but it’s something to watch, it’s ideal for younger kids. The water park is salt water, so you’ll need goggles, we just bought off amazon before we went, as they are expensive there. Lovely place, with a great beach only a 10min walk from the hotel, would definitely go back.

Paid all-inclusive for an open drain, a building site and a paper-cup cocktail Stayed at LIVVO Costa Taurito, Gran Canaria, with Jet2holidays on all-inclusive. The biggest problem was safety. A drain cover by the pool was broken and left open. Staff said someone would come later. I asked if they were really going to leave a hole open with children around. I had to go to reception, take a yellow warning sign and put it there myself. The hotel pool was then closed from late afternoon until 1pm the next day. They said we could use the water park. Entry may be included, but umbrellas and drinks there are extra. When the hotel pool is shut, all-inclusive stops at the gate. From day one a room near the pool was a construction site. An angle grinder ran at least four hours a day. I asked reception why I had paid about £2,000 to stay on a building site. They said they had to repair the walls. I asked them to put music on at the pool bar to cover the noise. They said they were not allowed to make noise there, while the grinder carried on. The lifts kept breaking down. Often two were out at the same time. There is no coffee before 7:30. There are not enough umbrellas for the sunbeds. A kettle in the room costs €2.50 every day. Buffet vegetables were not fresh. Cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes looked reused the next day, dry and with no taste. All-inclusive drinks are two-tier. Included “cocktails” come weak, in a paper cup. Guests who pay get a proper cocktail in a glass. This was in the restaurant / entertainment area, not a pool-safety rule. At the resort restaurants the cocktail pictures sit in the middle of the display for everyone — all inclusive and cash. The photo is the same. The drink is not. I raised it three times. On Wednesday I spoke to the reception manager. On Thursday I spoke to the kitchen manager. Neither was interested in solving it. Restaurant manager Nairomi then said she would speak to the bar and that Friday morning the main manager would give an answer. That did not happen. Hotel management promised a resolution and did not keep it. When you say football or a film, you think beer and popcorn. When you say a date, you think a decent wine. When you say an all-inclusive beach summer resort, you think a cocktail. Not watery liquid in a cardboard cup. All doors are squeak like they never had grece on. Main door at the apartment, top door panel was moving back and forwards when you touch the handle Jet2 said they tried to call me. I got a text about missed calls from a private number. No real contact. The Customer Helper was unavailable for days. And never tried to contact me at all. And you speak with a AI for a while and then you have reached the point where you are started. We paid in advance. After that it felt like they did not care. I wanted a safe pool, working lifts, honest answers and a COCKTAIL that is actually a COCKTAIL.
