TUI BLUE Playa Feliz

We were pleased with the location of our apartment overlooking pool , ideal for us with small children , lots going on for toddlers my grandson loved kids club and evening entertainment , would recommend for anyone with children food was great lots of variety , lots of deserts my grandson loved chocolate fountain and ice creams , so did I 🤪

Tui has this hotel as 4 star but official rating is 2 and that fits. The apartments are shabby with lots cracked walls, one plug in our apartment was missing and wires showing! We went all inclusive and definitely wasn’t worth it, food not great. My husband is not fussy at all and struggled to find something edible for breakfast each day (I’m not a breakfast person so just had coffee which again wasn’t great, only machine coffee included all inclusive - all others had to be paid for) Lunch and diner is in sister hotel, this was busy and dread to think what like in high season. The food at lunch was more varied than diner which was odd. I got ill one night from an evening meal on a Chinese night, that evening i actually ate no meat as so little choice but woke in night and very ill. Next day we heard someone reporting their wife ill from food night before and heard staff so that’s the 4th one! How many others who knows, I was just grateful I’d eaten very little that night so whilst I’d been ill during night I was ok next day unlike other poor people. We nicknamed the sister hotel roach city as we sat outside first evening with a drink and very large cockroaches were running around on tiled floor, grass, benches. The only plus for the hotel is the bus stop is just up the road so we went out most days and cost was very cheap. Very easy to navigate the bus routes and went Maspalomas, peurto de Morgan, zoo. Don’t bother Tui trips, so easy just to hop on bus. This was our first Tui blue and honestly we were really underwhelmed and disappointed. Definitely would not return and wouldn’t recommend to anymore.

Our apartment was very nicely laid out and adequate to self cater for two. Very pleased there were two large cooking pots with lids, frying pan, smaller saucepan - we cooked and ate in enjoying the generous patio to eat out. We did have a bulb that went out and the maintenance man was there within 10 mins - excellant service. Pool was lovely, sun beds ample - everyone friendly, Tui reps did animations for all ages. Lovely beachside walk to San Augustin pedestrianised, beach grey stones but good beaches in Maspalomas a bus ride away for 1.45€. Local restaurants pizza, grill & traditional in the Square 400m three supermarkets Spar & two Hyper Dino's. Really enjoyed our relaxed week hope to return next Spring for longer.

Hotel very good food excellent room clean and good size bathroom had good size shower hotel was geared up for families but of season was also good for adults plenty of sun beds out of the way of kids dinning room had adult section no children. Entertainment very poor on evening. Really nothing ar all. Location not a lot in area

A very pleasant stay at Playa Feliz Gran Canaria despite the local rating of 2*. This is misleading if you use this as a filter as the hotel and facilities are very good. Playa Feliz is part of a 4 hotel Tui Blue grouping and only 20 mins from the main airport with excellent access to main bus routes close by for sightseeing. All the staff without exception were pleasant and helpful as were the Tui reps. Our accommodation was chalet style, clean and quite well appointed with kitchenette, lounge area, bathroom and bedroom all with plenty of room. Apart from the main hotel complex where a lot of activities are held Playa Feliz itself was on the quite side which we preferred. The pool and area was always clean and well looked after. We opted for half board (other options available) with breakfast at Playa Feliz and dinner at the main Hotel. All the food at both locations was well prepared with plenty to choose from and served in a buffet style. All in all this stay was good value and in a good location
