Elba Premium Suites

Location is a 20 minute walk to the town centre. The hotel itself is quite large with a small pool area with bar and lunch facilities just for adults and a much larger pool area for families although adults could use both. We used the adult only pool where the staff were excellent. The only complaint was that a horrible sewage smell would drift over by the bar area, we discovered this probably came from outside as we noticed the smell going into town. The rooms were large and very clean with excellent a/c. The shower was ok, not high pressure but sufficient. Beds comfy but pillow too soft for me. The adult restaurant was upstairs, always quiet and both breakfast and evening meals were lovely. Evening entertainment was good and as per everywhere the staff were excellent. I will definitely be coming back. An idea for the hotel would be to have 24 hour coffee machines dotted about the place and try and source the smell Thankyou to all the staff for a great time.

My husband and I stayed at Elba Premium Suites between 26th September - 4th October for 8 nights. I have to admit, I was a little worried prior to arriving due to the amount of negative reviews I had read, more so about the cleanliness of rooms etc.. I am pleased to say that everything in our stay was perfect. We arrived at 8:15pm at Reception and they were very welcoming and began the check-in process. They advised us to go to take a bite in the restaurant and check in could be continued after, and in the meantimes our cases were delivered to our room. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and the little garden area was beautiful to sit and catch some sun or shade in a quiet place other than around the pool. We had a bottle of water provided to us every day and the cleaner did a wonderful job in keeping our rooms immaculate. The beds were not extremely comfortable, but my husband requested an extra pillow and this was delivered promptly. The airco was also available during our stay. The Pool was salt water, but very spacious, enough sun beds no matter what time of day. We had the adults only bands, which meant we had access all areas. If I am honest, my husband and I spent all our time around the kids pool at the royal village. The vibe was better, though we were out of school holiday season, there was lots of space. The adults only area was tiny, limited sunbeds and didn't really give me the holiday feels. Restaurants- The quality of food in the restaurants were good, however I would say in the adults only restaurant it was very repetitive. This was the only downside about the constant repetition of food being served. The adults only pool snack bar was great, you could order off the menu burgers/ sandwhiches, however we were dissapointed to find you had to pay for salads and pizzas considering we'd paid for premium. The serving staff were very polite, and were very fast at clearing away tables. We had one a la carte booking during our stay at the Italian - it is well worth the visit the food was delicious! Drinks were very limited. Though you could request the branded spirits, we were extremely disappointed with the cocktail menu. Lets face it, a lot of people go for the yummy cocktails and to only find that 4-5 were included in the all-inclusive was very disappointing. They had a whole list of cocktails of which you need to pay for. Elba - this should really change, this is the only hotel I have visited where this happens!!! So just watch out for some hidden fees on food/ drink even if you are premium all inclusive. The chill out bar for adults was a lovely touch in the evening, overlooking the pool with live entertainment most nights, such as a singer, saxophonist etc... The beach/ town was a 10-15 minute stroll from the hotel, very simple to get to. We didnt visit the beach here but only the town. The hotel runs a free shuttle to/from Playa Dorada beach which was a lovely beach, and a lovely touch that you could go a little further. During our stay I had a medical incident, where I fainted in one of the restaurants. Though I was extremely embarrassed to say the least, the hotel managers (not sure if her name was Naomi), attended to me swiftly, kept me calm and made sure I was ok and had everything I needed. I chose not to attend the on-site dr, ambulance or medical centre, but they wheelchaired me back to my room to rest, and reception checked on me later in the day to make sure I was ok. Even days after, multiple staff members recognised me and asked how I was feeling, including our cleaner which made such a difference. They were absolutely brilliant, and to anyone reading this who was a visitor on that day, to offer their help I really appreciate it! Thank you. We had a late flight and tried to get late check out on our room. 30 euros until 2pm and 60 euros til 6pm. Unfortunately our room was not available and we had to use the luggage room and hospitality room, there are 4 shower cubicles in the men/ women shower room, so it does get a bit busy AND HOT!!! But if you plan it well enough you can get in there before the rush and still enjoy some of your last day rather than waiting around. The hotel do not take your wristbands off of you (even though it said this on our welcome pack upon arrival). We also hired a car from Playa Blanca, and the parking was free at the hotel, no need to inform them of your licence plate or anything. I would say there were no real big negatives for our holiday, only that the repetition of food could be improved. Thanks Elba for having us for our first time in Lanzarote, we had a lovely stay with you, it was just what we needed after a busy year!!!

The adult only experience we were after was badly let down by the fact it also caters for families too. The adults only section was pleasant quiet and well kept. The rooms were sizeable and comfortable. The shower in our room took an age to get hot at any time of day. The tap to the sink never got hot at all even after running it for a very long time. The adult pool was ok just a little boring with little going on. The food selection at the buffet at the pool bar was so so. The menu for hot food was ok. I watched from the veranda of our room many people from 0630 onward going to reserve beds. The stench of sewage could not only be smelt but tasted at various times on the day at the adult pool. The food in the adults and main restaurants vareid between ok and poor through our 9 nights stay. And having spoken to a few different people all experiencing the same bloated feeling after eating which seemed uncanny. The adult entertainment was extremely dull. If you like your jazz music it’s fine… If you are going adults only expect that you’ll be dinning out and also finding your own entertainment. Oh beware of the unmarked ramp at the adults main bar it caught a few people out on numerous occasions. Tipping up and stumbling down it.

We love the hotel of course the activities of the entertainment thing what amazing especially the sexy Lulu and the boat Ramon
