Gran Castillo Tagoro Family & Fun

This was our third visit to Gran Tagoro and it still continues to amaze and deliver on every level. From the moment you enter the hotel you're greeted by a lovely team at reception, super friendly and helpful with answering queries and helping organise your holiday. The atmosphere is always fun with lots of families and couples of all ages getting involved. One of the big draws always pulling us back is the size and layout of the rooms. We've stayed in a different type of room every time and all incredibly spacious and clean with huge balconies. Good size smart TVs in multiple rooms. The gold level booking offers a nice alternative to the main pool and kids adventure area pools as well as the main restaurant. Special shout out to Jonathan in the gold level pool bar, as well as Luis and Salek in the Timanfaya restaurant. Their service was exceptional 👏🏼

just returned from 10 nights we can honestly say this is not 5 stars more 3 .The breakfast and lunch was lovely but evening meal was awful all vegetables were over cooked soggy sitting in oil .The bar staff are the most miserable ever constantly just standing around on mobiles whilst there are 10 people queuing.The entertainment team done aqua aerobics at 12 then came back at 3 for water polo that was it for daytime activities they never once interacted with guests around pool evenings were even worse one evening was escape night it was absolutely awful working out puzzles would not return

Firstly, I rarely leave a review, but felt I really wanted to in this occasion. We have just arrived home from a week here. We were kindly upgraded to a Gold suite, including use of the gold restaurant area and the gold swimming pool area. We’ve had a fabulous week, all staff were very polite, helpful and engaged in providing a great service to their guests. Johnathan at the gold pool area deserves a special mention for his attentiveness and cheery nature. The suite we stayed in was clean, as were all the hotel and pool areas. The night time entertainment wasn’t really our thing, but we enjoyed having a drink or two out on the main terrace. Location wise, it’s great for us, fabulous sea view from our suite. A coastal path takes you to a marina area, approximately 20-25 minute pleasant stroll. Food generally was good with a good selection to choose from., as I would hope and expect from an all inclusive hotel. Again, the gold level restaurant enables you to choose from a couple of options at evening dinner time, which are cooked to order. Many guests we spoke to were repeat guests from previous years, and this is clearly a great aspect that so many return year in year. We would have no hesitation in booking in the future.

Having just stayed here as a family of five with our 3 young children aged 9, 5 and 1I can honestly say this has been the best hotel we've ever been to. There has been some negative reviews and I have no idea why I can only assume from people that like to find fault with everything. We had a welcome drink on arrival and the kids were given balloons. The shower in our room was great and powerful. Beach towels provided. There's a hair dryer in the room. There is food served at several times throughout the day. There was various variety of food and yet still pizza and chips served every night on top which pleases the children and myself as we are picky eaters 😅 There is a huge variety of desserts and on most nights a chocolate fountain. The animation team have been great with the children, the kids preferred the earlier club at the adventure world however as they found it easier to understand. Various activities taking place throughout, our kids loved the aqua dancing in the pool, there animation team put a lot of energy into this. They also enjoyed the face painting. Pool floats are allowed during specific times which is great. Rooms are super clean. Staff friendly throughout. The hotel reception staff have been absolutely amazing. I had a medical emergency and they were extremely helpful and attentive and we were extremely grateful to them. The staff throughout the hotel work extremely hard and you can see this throughout the hotel. We will most definitely be returning in the future. A special thanks to Pedro and there was another gentleman but unfortunately we didn't catch his name but thank you so much for everything. If you want a relaxing stress free holiday then this is the place for you. If your booking with young children then I recommend the adventure room as there is a TV in the room for the kids ( with a bit of tweeking you can get cebeebies on), bean bags and activity on the wall as well as access to adventure world slides. Kids enjoyed various drinks from chocolate milkshakes to slushes and mocktails. Breakfast they have full English breakfast available, also have waffles, pancakes and Nutella. Omelettes made from fresh.

Lovely calm atmosphere. Nothing was too much for the exceptional staff: from the restaurant, reception, cleaner, everyone. Very clean throughout. Great food. Will return!
