Oasis Lanz Beach Mate

The apartment was spacious, but it was nowhere near the standard of a 4‑star hotel. We were told that getting a sunbed wouldn’t be an issue because lifeguards would remove towels after an hour of being unattended. This never happened. Lifeguards simply ignored it, leaving guests to fight for beds every morning. The pool rules were overly strict, to the point where children weren’t even allowed armbands or a small ring. It made the pool area feel unwelcoming and unnecessarily controlled. We also experienced rudeness from staff on two separate occasions. They expected us to automatically know “international laws,” which came across as condescending. When I asked for fresh towels — after several days without a change — I was met with “I will have to check,” followed by a lecture about putting towels on the floor if we wanted them replaced. As our towels had been changed daily for the previous eight days, we had no idea why the rules suddenly changed. I suggested a simple welcome pack to explain these things, but again I was met with “It’s international law!” delivered with attitude. Overall, this was one of the worst places we’ve stayed. For a supposedly 4‑star hotel, it absolutely wasn’t worth the extra money. Extremely disappointed.

The property was actually quite good overall. The location is fantastic—within walking distance to several beaches, the aquarium, and a water park, which was perfect for our family. There were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, including rock pool snorkelling right nearby. The room was spacious, modern, and well-equipped—everything you'd want for a comfortable stay. However, there was one unpleasant experience: At breakfast, we encountered a staff member who was exceptionally rude. When we tried to speak to him, he responded with "no English" and not even a hint of a smile—just dismissive and unwelcoming. We were at a buffet, but when we asked for toast, he simply said "no more" with no attempt to refill. Worse still, breakfast was advertised as open until 11am, yet he closed the doors 5 minutes early at 10:55am, cutting off access for guests who were still trying to get water and juice. This behaviour was unacceptable and frankly put a damper on our morning.

I don't want everyone knowing about this amazing hotel! August and it was lovely and peaceful despite it being full. Rooms AMAZING and super clean, breakfast AMAZING, staff AMAZING. Trying to think of 1 fault....maybe sunloungers slightly hard but always available as the bed man does his job by removing towels if they're left for over an hour. Works brilliantly. Excellent location as well. We will definitely be back. Thankyou so much to all the staff x

Visited here with my wife the first week of August. The hotel is very central & in a great location for all Costa Teguise has to offer. We arrived around lunchtime and our room was ready so already a positive start. We stayed in room 112 , ground floor junior suite. The room was great , big comfortable bed , nice sofa , a TV that worked & supper size bathroom with walk in shower. Also a free safe ( a nice little extra ). One slight issue that may help going forward would be to add a mirror in the lounge area however this is something very minor that my wife picked up on. We were situated on the quiet side of the hotel where the pool bar is , no sunbed wars & free pool towels daily , collect from the lifeguard. We stayed B&B and this worked perfect for us. Breakfast was excellent , good quality & hot ,no complaints whatsoever. We loved our stay at Oasis Lanz Beach and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any of our friends or family. We will definitely be back…..Loved it.

Had a great time . Lovely big room. Pool areas really nice . Good pool bar with reasonably priced drinks and snacks. Food on half board had reslly good choice and breakfsst was great. Juan on reception was great . All the staff are reallynice and helpfull.
